Bitcoin Cash is now starting to be abandoned because Bitcoin Cash is really very annoying for me because Bitcoin Cash when it was first created, I really didn't like the bad thing about Bitcoin.
The proof is now that Bitcoin Cash has been knocked out of the top 10 Coinmarketcap and has even been defeated by the newly-presented altcoins, whose marketcap was relatively small before Bitcoin Cash.

I would've chosen Ethereum but I will take BCH because of quick transactions and low fees. It costs more than $50+ fees per ETH transaction but it costs less than $1 per BCH transaction! Ethereum is better than BCH according to marketcaps, but BCH is better than ETH in transactions and gas fees.

so there must be proper repairs otherwise ethereum can be left behind and many are looking for alternatives to get fees cheap and fast.

True! I've seen many projects migrate their tokens from the Ethereum network to BSC network because of high fees in ERC20! It's obvious Ethereum network will lose visibility in the future if they will not fix this problem because nowadays many new projects are from the BSC network than those from Ethereum. Traders need a network with cheaper fees and quick transactions, ERC20 is a good network but they've failed in these!

bitcoincash in my opinion is a dead project and there are no more developments circulating in bitcoincash, for me personally I will never be able to support the existing decisions, most likely there are still many developments that are more effective.

After bitcoin the most popular coin is Ethereum not Bitcoin Cash.  Bitcoin Cash was a popular coin in 2017 bullrun and its price was then double that of ethereum. But gradually it has lost its popularity.  But ethereum has survived now and its popularity has not diminished in the slightest. So it is clear that after bitcoin, ethereum is a popular coin.

This question from the OP is very easy for me to answer because I will definitely choose Ethereum which has a trusted community and of course this Ethereum will really be a coin that is definitely liked by everyone.
Just look at now the comparison of Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash in the cryptocurrency market is really pathetic and BitcoinCash is slowly decreasing its market cap and being left behind by those who don't like Bitcoin Cash's performance.

We can't vilify a coin in the cryptocurrency market because each coin has its own advantages and disadvantages that we can't just look at carefully.
But if you look at the community that exists between Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash, the Ethereum community is a lot and the Bitcoin Cash community can't beat, and this also proves that Bitcoin Cash is still losing out on Ethereum.
