The smaller projects can be very risky as no one knows that which project becomes a fraud and goes to zero in value. I've invested in smaller projects in 2021 but unluckily I have lost all the investment and all of those coins went to zero in value.

I would never suggest anyone to go with smaller projects but if someone still thinks that there is money in those smaller projects then those investors should put very small amount of money into those altcoins that may grow later. It's not going to be an investment but a type of gambling I guess because it has huge risks and that's why I recommend everyone to be cautious when investing into small projects.

Being realistic, nobody is gonna become rich investing small amounts in bitcoin/XP/ADA/SOL, etc.... People became rich investing in those coins 5-10 years ago, not anymore. You can get nice gains, but I doubt those coins will fold 10x,20x,40x like before...

I think it's not investment but a form of gambling to go for those small projects if someone gets lucky then he/she can make 10x to 100x from those coins whom some people call hidden gems and if someone luck isn't good then he/she losses the money that they invested in that coin. It's the purest form of gambling with no house edge but research and luck only.

I highly agree with you, and you're so much right that no one can become rich by investing small amounts in Bitcoin and other reputed altcoins that have also gained good amounts in their values. Some of the coins still have the potential to give you 10x at least if you hold those for a decade minimum but none of them can make someone rich if their initial capital of investment is not very high.

You are completely right, and I agree with you, one thing very certain is that investing in altcoin projects that have become really big, like the likes of Ethereum, Solana, avalanche, TRX binance coin and so on, investing in such coins will only yield a good amount of profit for the investor only if the investor invests a huge amount of money as well, its just as you have said, investing in bitcoin now can not make one rich except the investor is already rich enough to invest a really huge funds in bitcoin.

For anyone who wants to become rich through cryptocurrency investment, he or she should start finding really good micro cap coins or tokens and invest in term, micro cap coins are coins with a market capitalization of 100 million dollars or less.
This are the types of coins that can truly make people rich, if one is lucky enough to invest in the right one.

Investing in micro cap coins is very risky, as some of them end up failing even before the real journey began, but like  I said before, if one is lucky enough to have an investment in one that breaks out, a good amount of money will be made, which can make such person a rich person.

You mentioned decade and mentioned coins. It is risky because people may take the advice and lose their money on the journey. If you are talking about holding a coin for a decade, the only coin that is qualified to hold for a decade is BTC. Everyone other altcoin, no matter how rated it is now, no matter the use case and level of acceptance by the community, there's no guarantee that they would still be around in 10years time.
3 years only is big enough for all of them to disappear into the thin air if something unexpected happens.

I guess this thread was created before the incident of Luna, so if not, there's nothing that warrants having Luna being listed on the possible coins in prospect for an investment any longer, from what I can give here, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Litecoin, XRP, Cardano, Polygon, Avax and many others I may not include here but are worth deserving our investment, there are more newly introduced cryptocurrencies and they are showing fast performances than the existing altcoins because they were being funded by their investors to make them shine as well as serving their purpose.

You are right about focusing on Bitcoin if your goal is to hold for a decade or more. But to say that 3 years only is big enough for some of the altcoins in the market to disappear, I don't think so. Other altcoins continue to be the top altcoins which were created for more than 5 years but still kicking and reaching new all-time highs every bull season. There are still a lot of altcoins which is good to hold for the long term, it's all about the right choice of altcoin to invest in and how an individual investor will take care of their investment or how will they take quick action for any unexpected events to happen in the market.
