The truth is that altcoins would continue to do up and down and rediscover their values. Some new entrants in the top 10 have been noted, like Solana and Avalanche. Old occupants like EOS, etc have been moves down the list
I think we invest for profit, not because we love or hate any token, so extreme investment trends are unnecessary.
We have seen a division of investors over past few years: the first camp only supports Bitcoin because of POW and the best decentralization, the second camp laughs at Bitcoin's backwardness and only supports Altcoins. I think this drama is only interesting to observe and should not affect investment decisions.
Every investor has different tastes, and most tokens have their own potential, so the question should be what % of portfolio should be for each token group.
+ For safety purposes: Bitcoin is always the irreplaceable top choice. I think the majority, or at least 50% of capital should be in BTC.
+ For the purpose of increasing profits: top altcoins such as ETH, BNB, SOL, XRP, ADA, AVAX should be considered.
+ For impressive growth: top 50 and top 100 will be the choice for a small portion of capital.
