Steem - Steemit Forum / Steem Less than a Dollar!
« on: August 13, 2018, 10:56:04 AM »
Steem has hit the below a dollar value today while Steem Dollars is at 1.02$. The last time Steem value was this low was November last year. A lot of Steemit users are now buying Steem. Remember what happened last year December? Steem Dollars and Steem value went up to 7$ and 13$ respectively.

Currently, Steem Dollars is not anymore included in the payout. Are you purchasing Steem through your SBD or are you buying from fiat?

Steem - Steemit Forum / Steem HardFork 20
« on: August 11, 2018, 02:11:26 PM »
hellow guys! I am sharing here an information about Steem's Harfork20!

Hardfork20 is coming its way to Steemit and I'm hoping this will help us average users understand more about this significant change in the platform. In case I missed some of the important changes, feel free to comment to so I can add it in this post. Steem On! Please tag others.

- Steem Hardfork 20 is scheduled to take effect on Tuesday, September 25 at 11:00 EST. It's 11:00 P.M. in the Philippines.

- Curation Window will be changed from 30 to 15 mins - allowing users who discover contents early (especially if it gets trending) gets a big chunk of curation rewards.

- You can now comment every 3 seconds (from 20 second comment cool down).

- Delegation cooldown period will be changed from 7 days to 5 days.

- We will likely be receiving SBD rewards soon because the debt ratio will be increased from 2-5% to 9-10%. Unlike now, we're receiving 100% Steem.

- Curation rewards via self-voting(which happens when a user immediately upvotes his post) cannot be claimed anymore . Instead it gets back to the rewards pool - thereby increasing the overall percentage of rewards paid to curators.

- You can no longer create accounts using delegation (e.g. using [steeminvite](https://www.steeminvite.com)).

A little bit technical changes

- Dust votes (votes that are extremely weak, having close to zero vote value) will be rejected by the blockchain. However, votes can still be made but your Resource Credits gets compromised (be careful with this).

- Account Creation (instant) will be more likely be 3.0 Steem but it will be burned via @null account which means new accounts will have 0 Steem Power but can still interact in Steemit by the Resource Credits they get equivalent to 3 Steem.

- Bandwidth system will be changed to Resource Credits system (RC) which means in every transaction (upvote, comment, post, resteem, transfers, etc.) is made by an account, our Resource Credit decreases (the same as our Bandwidth). Our amount of RC depends on the Stake we have in the platform (in the form of Steem Power). RC replenishes over time.

- Resource Credits is better than bandwidth system because 1.) It provides a better user experience for new users as this will solve their woes in terms of preventing them from interacting in the platform(they can now engage more in their early stage). 2.) It is technically efficient (in estimation and computation) in calculating the **"true cost"** of a transaction. 3.) RCs will be helpful in creating discounted accounts.

Steem - Steemit Forum / Blog Through eSteem and Get Free Upvotes
« on: July 23, 2018, 04:15:22 PM »

eSteem app is a front-end or user interface for the Steem Blockchain. It is a social application where users are paid for blogging, commenting and curating contents.

The eSteem application is now available on different platforms such as Android, iOS, PC, Mac or Linux devices.

Desktop: https://github.com/eSteemApp/esteem-surfer/releases
iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=1141397898&mt=8
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.netsolutions.esteem

It's main features include:

  • Social Features
  • Push Notifications
  • Track Your Followers
  • Personalize & Multi-accounts
  • Settings

All data is stored and powered by Steem blockchain which means data is uncensorable, decentralized, once it is in blockchain it always stays there. By contributing, posting, curating valuable content you earn cryptocurrency or tokens that are valuable by demand. Your tokens have market-driven value that can be used for buying goods, exchanging, investing, saving, etc.

Download the app, create a blog post using the application on your mobile devices and use the tag #esteem to receive free upvotes from the app developer and supporters of the said platform: @esteemapp, @hr1 and @good-karma. It is also important to check these accounts prior to posting, making sure that they have good voting power percentage to ensure the upvotes!

Here's a sample upvote from them on my blog posted July 23, 2018:

Welcome to the world of automation! Introducing Steemauto!

Busy and unable to upvote your favorite steem users? Don't worry, you can automate that and let the bots do the task for you! I use it for specific reasons:

- I won't miss posts from my favorite users
- I can upvote/earn while I am offline

Some features of steemauto:

  • I. Auto upvote Options: Voting Percentage and Time.
With autoupvoting, I was able to set up the voting percentage that I would like to give to that specific user. For example, for my husband @panoramicview, I entered 100%. Then to my friend @long888, I opted for 30%. Another option is to set the time on which the upvote is placed. Pretty straightforward! So I was able to add more and more friends on the list!
  • II. Auto Upvoting Comments!
This is pretty sweet! I didn't know that there's an option to auto upvote comments too! Glad that they had set up a limit on this to two comments only.
  • III. Set up Voting Power Limit.
One of the issues I had thought about auto upvotes was what if the users whom I had listed would be posting around 10 blogs a day, then it might drain my voting power. That isn't good!

Well, I found out that #SteemAuto also has the option to set up how much voting power limit one wanted to keep.

I set it to 80% so if this is reached, the auto upvote stops and resumes only when the voting power is regained.

So far those who want to start the automation, check the video link below hosted on DTube: https://d.tube/#!/v/junebride/00x7bjt2

Here's an information coming from the steemit.com/@punqtured, core team behind the Byteball project:

If you are one of the 1 million+ Steem users this bot offers you the following benefits:

  • Connect your Steem username to your Byteball wallet. Your username will be stored on the Byteball DAG as an attestation (basically proof of your Steem identity).
  • Byteball will pay you a reward from our undistributed funds for proving your Steem identity. We will also pay you for referring other users (see the ‘Rewards for Steem users’ breakdown below).
  • Send Bytes and Blackbytes to a steem/username instead of less user-friendly crypto wallet addresses. For those not familiar with the Byteball platform, the main currency is Bytes, whilst Blackbytes are the private currency. The feature to send money to usernames will also work for other Byteball-issued tokens.

Byteball will pay you based on your Steem reputation score and for referring other users. The stronger your reputation the higher the reward.

The attestation rewards are as follows:

Steem reputation above 30: you get a $10 reward
Steem reputation above 40: you get a $20 reward
Steem reputation above 50: you get a $40 reward
Steem reputation above 60: you get a $80 reward
Steem reputation above 70: you get a $160 reward

All rewards are paid in Bytes and may be subject to changes particularly for the lower reputation scores.

If interested, comment below so I can assist you!

I got mine last night!

There are numerous condensers which use the steem blockchain, I wonder which are your favorites?
Do you have a specific condenser that you use primarily in posting blogs?

I am currently using Partiko, eSteem, DLive, Ulogs, Busy.org
