We all know we are in crypto. We join for our own risk. We search and try to find out the best and most potential project promoted by trusted managers. However some project turned into scam and some may not pay the participants due to underestimating the hunters promotion with low traffic.

From the past and recent issues with regards to scam projects and unpaid balance for hunters.

How we can anticipate this matter? How the hunters be protected by the managers or they are just a toy to promote the project and yet the team doesn't want to pay as they are already in success?

Many bounty hunters were disappointed with this incident. 
They were not paid for their performance during the 12 weeks.  It's a scam, and I believe karma will fall on their project. 
Because there is sweat that is not paid according to the promise.  call them ..project X ,
all the members here  know that. Which project ??

Traffic ?? I think It's scammer reason, didn't to pay their promise.

I agree with @rizqillah, the only reason is that they don't want to pay, and the reasons are clear. Most of the time, when a team needs promotion and the project is just starting, there is little or no funding available for the team, so they are looking for a reputable Bounty Manager to run the bounty campaign, the budget is usually large and everything works fine while the bounty is running, but when it ends... They find problems where there were none before, bots that are people appear, everything is badly done... Why does that happen at the end of the bounty?. For the simple reason that they already have all the money they needed (or even more) and they feel powerful and above other people, they think they are untouchable.

There will not be peace for the evil ones.

I just posted something similar to a topic here
https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=22999.msg1179323#msg1179323 and I were specific about the just Concluded Student Coin which most of us that participated now see as a SCAM Project because like I mentioned in that post, you cannot use bounty hunters for 10 weeks and at the end of the campaign change the rule. I believe that this is something that even the Forum owners should now be Involved in so that once a campaign is put out, whatever is stated there is what should be done at the end of the campaign not only when it favours the project owners but also when they feel it doesn't favour them too.

It is very sorrowful that many projects are scamming the payment of hunters. The hunters give their lot of time to promote the project but at last they have been cheated. Such incidence is spoiling the crypto promoting field. For protecting such scamming some steps can be taken. As every bounty and air drop pogram are offered through the Forum, Forum authority can take the security with USDT. When the payment will be completed, this security also will be released. Without security no such project will be accepted to the Forum. In this case Forum authority can develop a proper policy and guideline. If this system can be developed, the scammers will not get any chance for scamming.

Unfortunately, there are too many scammers in the cryptocurrency field and nothing can be done about it at the moment, so if you participate in bounty companies, you should always remember that most bounty companies are scams, thats why need to do escrow, but the fact is that any company can make a token swap about this, too, do not forget.

IMHO, I believe this is beyond our control because there are no legal documents that bind in most bounty campaigns and all agreement are just verbal, between the bounty management and the bounty client that's the sad truth that's why we can't pursue any case at all like the previous incident involving Student coin team. In the spreadsheet, I was able to receive 32.2K STC tokens but in reality, I only received 0.005 Ether that was only $12 dollars in 12 weeks.

It's unfortunate that many projects try to cheat after bounty end. There is no protection of payment for Bounty hunters. If every bounty manager impose new obligations of payment bounty rewards to BM and BM will pay at the end of the campaign, i hope it can be a solution but maximum projects owners' don't want to pay first. Recently Student Coin has cheated with bounty hunters where i was one of the Signature participants and social medias. It's very sad that they cheated after the project success. Now our intention to participate in bounty is going to decline for such repeated cheating.

I am so sad with the way things turned out to be with STC. I was then assuming that they will honor their parts of the bargain. While I would have understood if they can't pay 100% of the published tokens that we should have, getting just around 10% is quite unbelievable. The main reason that hunters will just dumped the tokens once already in their hands is not so valid because there are ways to mitigate the situation - they could have done the distribution in phases instead.

I think bounty managers should firstly escrow the tokens in a bid to securing the funds before accepting bounty hunters for the promotion of the project this will checkmate the none payment of tokens  to hunters at the end of the campaigns and will bring credibility and assurance of prompt payment, this is one of the best method that will reduce scams in the crypto hunting, it quite unfortunate that hunters are being denied their legitimate payment after several months of promoting a project.

escrow is good way for bounty manager to launch bounty project. But several projects don't agree.
I think they should have MOU each other.
at this year, we will see several scam project after successful.
I think, development strategy to get promo without paying.
As bounty hunter, we must be careful and learn their project, roadmad and who manager will launch their bounty.

I agree with you in everything you say, and you are right, but that does not prevent what is happening. Almost 99% of teams will not want to use escrow, and teams that send coins/tokens in advance to Bounty Managers can switch to another chain in no time. In the past, various types of solutions were considered, but the projects were abandoned. This problem has a difficult solution.

I believe karma will fall on their project. 

Karma is real and will come to every scammers. Sadly they don't consider it once their family members got scammed or experience horrible things. Karma could happen generally. What the person did (good or evil) it will return in due time.

For the simple reason that they already have all the money they needed (or even more) and they feel powerful and above other people, they think they are untouchable.

Sad truth. There are people who are more concern to take advantage the situations. They looks like calm, kind and good person in the beginning. But the real personality will come out once they are in the peak of success forgetting the people who help them build the strong foundation.

I agree. Peace matters than money. The pressure is not in us but to them. Scammer may enjoy life temporarily and suffer the whole life.

Clear enough, They just made childish reason to avoid their responsibility to pay the hunters. For sure those people now doesn't have peace and joy within their hearts and mind.

We Bounty Hunters work a lot harder for a small payment but the team management of the project doesn't care about us.  At the end of the project, they do not pay our fair share, so the interest of Bounty Hunters to work is decreasing day by day.  The owners of the project should properly explain the remuneration of the hunters.

The discourse about escrow has long been discussed and I totally agree with escrow...

The many scam projects to date have made me personally immune and not really thought about it too deeply. The point is, don't easily believe the lure of a large reward, it's better to do your research before joining.
