If the campaign of mixer ended I don't think only the teleported user inactive but also original user will not be longer active behind most active participants in mixer project right now.
Its have been common reason why some user keep active in altcoinstalk forum because potential of income through signature campaign, when the campaign ended most of user will be inactive awhile waiting for new campaign launch. I don't think its much problem with some user leaves and active in the forum because most of them reason get benefit to earn money from signature.

What you say is a fact, without a doubt. But even if that happened, the user base would continue to grow and fortunately, not all users would be inactive. It is true that a decrease in activity has been noticed in recent weeks, but that is something that would happen whether or not there are signature campaigns, it is something that I have seen in previous years. I don't think we should think too much about the activity data, continuing to contribute to the forum is the best we can do.

I have always thought that selling at a loss is a serious mistake. I understand that people who sell at a loss may think that by selling they will not lose everything, and that they will be able to recover at least part of their investment. But it is just as important to know how to wait as it is to know which project is the most appropriate, that's why there are people who never make money, due to lack of patience.

Choosing the right project (in this case Bitcoin) and knowing how to wait after making the investment are the basic and most important pillars, but not only when we talk about cryptocurrencies, but when we talk about any type of investment in any industry. Each factor must be a complement to the other to be successful.

Dogecoin Forum / Re: DOGE for Tesla
« on: May 31, 2024, 06:18:14 PM »
It seems like no one will be able to deny what you say. Elon is indeed very popular and, indeed, he is a business executive and definitely a rich man. Because he has many followers, he is able to take advantage of his popularity to influence people to do whatever he says, so that it is profitable for him. Doge was great because of the news that came from him and everyone believed him.
If the increase is not only from Elon's influence, just look at when Bitcoin increased to reach ATH, Doge and many other meme coins increased sharply.

Well, I don't think it's a question of whether or not to deny what I say, I always speak from my point of view, and I also like to listen to the opinion of others. I know there are a lot of people following Musk, but I wonder what those who bought Doge at $0.73 are thinking. I don't think they're very happy right now... Of course, Doge increases its economic value every time Bitcoin rises rapidly or reaches a new ATH, but that doesn't just happen to Doge, it happens to the entire market, so it is not an organic growth nor a greater demand in the market. When Bitcoin falls, the entire market falls, without exception.

Because the BSC network has a lot of fraud going on, so many people focus on it, although I agree that it's not just about one network but all of them that have indications of fraudulent projects.
One of the many indicators that must be paid attention to is that you are right in your words to monitor who is behind them, not just through social media. Even though it is not something that is easy to analyze, hopefully there is an intention to anticipate it so that it can be avoided.

There are scams on all existing blockchains, not just BSC. The reason (or one of the reasons) why the number of scams may be higher on BSC is due to its popularity. Ethereum's high fees were the starting point towards a "migration" of projects (and users) towards BSC, where fees are cheap, taking advantage of this popularity, scammers launched many scams, and unfortunately it is something that happens every day. The “solution” is the same regardless of which blockchain is used, contrast data, look for different sources... And even doing all that, there will always be some chance (although the risk will be lower) of being scammed.

Trump's statements are just election promises aimed at a specific niche: cryptocurrency users. While he was president, Trump had plenty of time to pardon Ross Ulbricht, if he didn't do it during that period of time it was because he didn't want to do it, I think it's that simple. But as we already know, there will soon be new elections for the presidency and Trump will have to look for all the possible votes. In any case, and taking into account the news of the last few hours, I think that now Trump will be more busy with his defense than with the elections.

Its easily for scammer how to make their X account got verified by paying around 8$ every month, but most trusted airdrop sharing trough twitter depend on their website and linked to X account platform. I think depend on verified of X account color if blue seems most trusted account and difficult for scammer make their social media X account with blue color verified because most of them using yellow verified.
I don't know many people easily get scam when the scammer sharing fake news for receiving airdrop must follow, retweet and put the address below their tweet.

I don't know the exact data, but I assume that there will be many people scammed, especially those who have less experience and do not inform themselves or try to verify the information. We have already seen many times on X how well-known profiles have been impersonated to scam, and days have passed without anyone doing anything. Because X acts so slowly, users' best weapon against scams is knowledge and comparison of information from various sources. That would prevent many scams.

The conclusion would be that in any case, at all costs, we should avoid pirated versions of the OS, but also cracked software - there simply cannot be any compromise if we are people who have anything to do with cryptocurrencies. As a Windows user, I'm not too worried about all the threats that are already known, but I'm much more worried about the possibility that some new dangerous threats will appear that will take advantage of some vulnerability in Windows and do us a lot of damage.

In the near future I plan to buy a new computer, and then I will certainly go in the direction of giving Linux a chance.

Not only the operating system is important (and knowing how to configure it correctly). User errors are always one of the worst points to take into account, download and run software that we don't know, click on the link without first looking where it can take us... These types of errors are very common. But that does not eliminate the operating system's ability to receive attacks, on top of that, Windows, historically speaking, since its inception, has never been the most secure.

Privacy Coins Forum / Re: OKX to delist privacy coins
« on: May 30, 2024, 07:45:24 PM »
As Freemind mentioned, CEXs need to comply with legal regulations in order to exist in this market. Internet also had to adapt to be widely used as it is today, and crypto also needs clear legal frameworks to comply with and develop. CZ and Binance's actions are the clearest proof: accepting compromises to retain the future of Binance CEX in the face of intense scrutiny from the US government. The same applies to users: we need to perform KYC when we want to use the services that CEXs provide.

Privacy can be very useful for some users, but it can also be a threat to the management and development plan of the crypto market. Going against governments is not a wise decision, which is why BTC has never been a privacy coin, and the Bitcoin blockchain is public and transparent.

I agree with what you say, but... Any CEX that wants to continue working according to the laws and regulations of the country must comply with the regulations, the worrying thing is that almost all countries and the "different" regulations are a mirror of the existing regulations in the United States, so there is no room to "change or improve" this regulations. It is true that privacy can be very useful for some, and it is also true that other users may not care, but the important thing is that privacy is a right, a right that in many cases ends up trampled without any value.

Every day more banks block accounts of users who want to use their fiat money to buy cryptocurrencies. What power does the bank have to decide what people do with their money?.

When banks say it is to avoid “scams”, it seems like an insult to anyone's intelligence. That excuse is very old...

I think so too the price movement of the two coins is very slow it seems to be true that you said TRX has lost trust and xlm maybe because the ecosystem is very small and only a few people are interested in this coin but these two coins can be said to be legendary coins when viewed from their age

Without continuous development and a team that continues to add improvements and innovations, it is very difficult for Tron to become a blockchain with a greater number of active users. Unfortunately what is happening is quite the opposite, according to current statistics. I think we could say that what keeps Tron afloat are USDT transactions, really cheap on this blockchain. For Tron to once again rise above other blockchains, it would need (among other things) a new roadmap explaining to users where the project is headed. Otherwise, Tron will never be able to grow in any way.

Forum related / Re: Bumps need deleted

I never found a post which explain how to reclaim ALT tokens and convert them to anything else. Which topic is it? I see many related to ALT, but I just found rules and stuff like that, never saw information about reclaiming them

What we can change are the points we get when we create a thread or write a post, but we can only redeem them for the forum token, not USDT.

Withdraw ALTT & ALTT Distributions. Although the thread is from 2020, the last update is from March 18, 2024.

It will also be possible to redeem karma, but there is not much information about it yet.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Roger Ver has been arrested
« on: May 30, 2024, 08:57:03 AM »

Laws in the US about disclosing info during an inquiry are a mess, I'm 101% sure theymos won't say a word!

From what you say, it's probably someone accessing the accounts, not Ver himself. But it's still curious that this happens while he's supposedly arrested. That was what I wanted to know (I don't know much about US law on these issues), if theymos could reveal something or not in case the authority demanded access from a user of the forum.

~
I don't know why you are asking me all this questions, I just speculated and wrote Maybe.

I asked you if (coincidentally) knew more about US laws on these issues, but nothing else in particular.

Decentralized Team / Re: Report Spammers
« on: May 29, 2024, 09:34:10 PM »
In the beginning, there was talk about some restrictions, but I hope that they will not be implemented soon, or at least that users will be warned before implementing them.

the quality bar will have some features and limitations
more on this soon

for example red dots > will no longer be able to have signatures

Correct. I guess the admin still needs to make some changes from what we read in that post. And also the managers (in case there are any who don't know) will have to do something to fill the free spots when these new rules start to work. Although in theory these users should not have been accepted in the signature campaigns, although not all managers may think the same. What would be a complete disaster is for some managers to accept users who are within the zoom group and other managers to do the opposite. A consensus is needed to clarify things.

Dogecoin Forum / Re: What makes us believe in DOGE coin ??
« on: May 29, 2024, 09:20:28 PM »
those who bought doge at $0.7, do you mean they were trapped in the high price so they held it until now??  Waiting for the doge price to rise again.  Doge is the most popular meme coin, recently I saw PEPE showing good progress, will PEPE be a competitor to doge and shib in the next year.

Everyone who bought at $0.73 will have to wait or sell at a loss, those are the only options. Selling at the same price they bought and recovering at least the investment seems far away right now. The problem is when they will be able to make profits, something that is unknown. Of course, buying when the market is rising rapidly is one of the biggest mistakes, something many people did when Doge hit its ATH. I don't know if Shib and PEPE will be able to reach the same level as Doge and compete directly, although it may seem otherwise, they are quite far from Doge, due to the size of their community and the investment made.
