Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Hunting bounty is it profitable?
« on: June 15, 2020, 09:55:10 AM »
2017 passed away,, 2018,2019,2020 three years bitcointalk and Altcointalk forums have nothing to succeed. Actually many projects with cheater and plagiarism scamming with bounty Hunters.
Did you never know good projects on the last three years? I think you were too underestimate current crypto projects and only viewed the success or not from bad projects only. Why don't you try to mention good crypto projects and viewed from positive sides. There are some crypto projects that can be successful and even listed on top exchanges. Ex: Cartesi and Ferrum. These current crypto projects even can be listed on top exchanges, like Binance. And the bounty hunters must get profits from these projects.
I missed the opportunity to join Ludena signature campaign, of which you are wearing. If nothing goes wrong, it's a ETH paid campaign. Saying that there was none successful project in the last 3 years: 2018, 2019 and 2020 is a little bit underestimating. There're still a lot of open BTC paid campaigns in Bitcointalk if your rank is highe enough.

Bitcoin for mid and long term investment and altcoins for short term. Depending on market situation, the ration between bitcoin vs altcoin may vary. Usually, my ratio is 7/3 or 6/4. But in the last few days, when the altcoins market was so busy, I tended to put more bitcoin into altcoins.
+1. My strategy is similar to yours but I only put half of my money on bitcoin, since I'm not much of a good trader. Besides, I also hold some good altcoins for long term. Trading part only accounts for approx 1/10 to 2/10 of my total account.

Many people choose to invest in bitcoin or altcoins only. But I don't think it's a good idea. Market is moving every day. Flexibly balancing your account between bitcoin and altcoins is the more suitable and optimal choice.

Voting / Re: Hold ETH or invest in ERC-20 tokens?
« on: June 14, 2020, 06:06:59 PM »
As we have seen, ETH price has hovered around the $200 threshold since mid-2019. The COVID-19 pandemic or BTC halving does not impact too much on ETH price. I am wondering between keeping ETH in my wallet or using ETH to participate in some potential ICO/ERC-20 tokens.
Do you really think you can find a serious ICO project nowadays? The fact is, most of ICO projects at the time being are scams. If there is some serious ones, you may need a ton of luck and effort to find them out. My choice is to hold the ETH and wait for the 2.0 update.

I think it's not only Russia but other countries also experience the same situation. Stimulus checks are a source of money to flood into the market. Corona pandemic is a great misfortune but it's indirectly boost the cryptocurrency market. Many companies, organizations see the system flaws after this tragedy but many realize the bright side of cryptos.
People are bored enough to trade bitcoin during lockdown but I doubt it's just temporary. After lockdown, they will immediately forget about trading and go travelling, shopping, or just go back to their old daily routine, in which there's no place for bitcoin. The only thing that I am glad is that there are more people knowing about bitcoin through this trading activity.

You can target whateter the number it is that you want, USD 100k or even USD 1000k. But I'm more realistic. I will sell my bitcoin when the old ETH USD 19k is near. and will buy back later if the resistance is broken. As an investor, I look for short and sure profit. USD 100k is not impossible to bitcoin but before that, a lot of increase and decrease happens. Taking profit from them is more important.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Is Coronavirus An Advantage For Bitcoin?
« on: June 14, 2020, 05:42:42 PM »
I don't think Coronavirus is an advantage for bitcoin. In fact, Covid-19 negatively all aspects of our lives, including finance. Imagine if Covid-19 never existed, how much money people would invest in crypto trading? Obvioulsy it would be much more than some limited numbers from government aids. Sadly there's no if. Coronavirus destroyed many things. Bitcoin is no exception.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What is the best altcoins for 2020
« on: June 14, 2020, 05:24:59 PM »
The best altcoin to me is always Ethereum. The best here includes technology, history, community and value. Clearly value is denifed by teh first three: technology, history, community but ETH is far gone from pump and dump in a short time. Holding ETH helps you loss less when market goes down while proift when market goes up. If the idea of the OP is to find the best coin which can bring highest profit then ETH isn't the case.

I think it depends. Some people bought bitcoin before halving and hope for quick profit by bull run right after halving. Maybe to them it's over hyped or over optimistic. But to long term holders like me, I bought bitcoin hand have been holding for long time, I have a specific target and won't sell until it's reached. I have enough patient to wait and hence, over optimistic is not true to me.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Are you buying altcoins?
« on: June 14, 2020, 09:21:29 AM »
As a trader, buying altcoins is something that I do every day. I love to see my citoin increase a little by a little from those altcoins. Not all of my trades are successful though. Some times, I loss dramatically but then I cut loss properly and continue with other trades. I don't recommend buying altcoins and trade to everyone but if you're too boring buying bitcoin, hold and sell then think of buying altcoins as an alternative with a small amount of money. You're gonna be engaged with that.

Bitcoin has two things that other altcoins don't have: history and community. Bitcoin is the first coin of blockchain technolody. It was created by the mystery Satoshi. The unknown Satoshi makes bitcoin even more well known with a lot of false investigation and claimings surrounding Satoshi's identity. Being the first coin, bitcoin has built itself a huge network of believers and followers. Other coins still can do the same thing but not as successfully as bitcoin, of course. Some altcoins can get a bigger community in the future but they can't beat bitcoin in term of history. That makes bitcoin unique and unbeatable.

It sounds like China wants to come up with "digital yuan" as a solution to the US' trade war. However, this idea is not easy to come true since China doesn't have many allies. As far as I know, only Pakistan, Combodia and some African countries are friendly with China. Obviously China can force these countries to use its digital yuan but does it make sense when they're small and have no influence in the world.

I don't think there's any connection between IEOs and bounties. If a project decides to sell tokens on an exchange, it will likely to skip the bounty phase. If a project announces an IEO but still runs a bounty then the bounty will be full of participants. Yes, if all projects held IEOs on good exchanges then bounty would have a better future. But the fact is, most of the projects are scams nowadays.
