10 years ago Ponzi schemes were very popular with many people, when the price of Bitcoin was still very cheap, many people participated in Ponzi, but now Ponzi is unhealthy, everything has the risk of ending in a scam. I have never followed a Ponzi again when the price of Bitcoin could reach this high price. The last time I followed a Ponzi was in 2014 and there were still many Ponzi schemes circulating that year.
Are you mistaking Ponzi for something else? Op meant to say, that Ponzi schemes are like phishing ones, they are too good to be true as they offer high returns with no or less amount (near to negligible). These types of offers convince a person to give it a try and thus they fall for it because Ponzi schemes are meant to be scam offers that are not real.

So how can you say Now ponzi is unhealthy I mean when it was healthy? If 10 years ago it was very popular does it mean Ponzi schemes were also real and they give people money they promised them? And what do you mean by the relation of BTC's high price with ponzi, as only in this time such schemes are coming in hot while in bear they are not? Besides that your words don't make logic. Please explain.

It is not possible to be accurate in analyzing which project is good or bad, most people lose when they invest in altcoins because they buy a scam project or one that does not have any future. If people could 'easily' analyze the market and separate the good projects from the bad ones, everyone will likely be making money.
That's 100% correct that if everybody would be investing in good projects they would all be making money right now, but that's also not impossible for all to make money, they all can make money but they can't due to there different nature of investment mindset. Some take small risks and some take big ones. Diversity of this world makes every individual different from each other and thus their way of thinking as well.

It's not hard to find a good and scam project, a little understanding of certik, partners investors to look for and the team background only will give you the idea that either it will be a scam or not. I think distinguishing between a good and scam one is not a big deal nowadays. The main problem, is even if you differentiate between them successfully it does not mean you are going to make profit. I hope you understand my point here.

All these is not enough for you to come to a conclusion that a project is good and is going to be successful.
You are right, that's why I said for example and etc. etc. because there are many other factors on the check list as well. But these are only few that a normal person can comprehend.

Crypto Wallets / Re: Are you using Hardware Wallets?
« on: Today at 09:07:34 AM »
Yeah but not more than any other wallet, as a seed is a seed and as long as you own it, your funds shouldn't be lost even if you break or lose your hardware wallet.
You are right we can recover our funds if we have those 12 or 24 words, but I was saying its a little hard to manage the hardware wallet, I mean if it breaks or its LCD is damaged as I have seen a lot of hardware wallet's complaints that after not using them for a long time their LCDs are not showing anything at all. And repairing the LCD from a person who might know about cryptocurrency is a risk to your assets.

And the money spent on that hardware wallet will be wasted as well. So that's why I passed the HW besides its hard to get them in this country as it charges us more than usual customers as it's not local we have to pay huge taxes on it. Overall for those who can easily get it and manages it should buy it because its the best choice there but choosing the right one is also a problem as many are centralized and many are not but they are either closed source. So its not that hard to find one.

PS: I know replying late, I missed it.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Is Bitcoin Too Expensive For Me?
« on: June 01, 2024, 11:48:10 PM »
Is it advisable to buy Bitcoin with the little amount I have, or should I rather go for altcoins that my funds can meet up with?.
Post is old but the question still fits best at the current times, so I will say if you have a little amount of money and you want to invest in BTC then its good you should invest it but first you have to realize what are your goals. I mean how long are you planning to invest, for 1 year or for a few months only, and what's the profit you are expecting if 3x from the CMP then that's a no even if it is 2x then it still a no to BTC, and I would prefer you to go with some ALT.

But considering the price of BTC at the post time, I will say it was a good time to buy btc for a 2x because at that time the price was around $42k I think, or close to this number. So at that time, the entry would make us 2x or maybe more but at the current market price, it can't so the best choice is to go with some good alt. ETH is good-looking at the moment it can give us more than 3x.

Considering the OP post time I will say he was right, if BTC successfully managed to maintain that price it can definitely touch the new ATH even and many people are also saying it can make new ATH as well. Overall whether it drops or not, I am optimistic about its price as in the long run, BTC is going to make new ATH as its in its nature to make new ATH after the halving event.

Although since the halving event, I have not seen any miner bragging about the block reward I think they already are earning more than enough from the block reward and from the fee collectively. Well, that's a good thing as well. I think BTC will make a new ATH of $80k what you guys think can it reach the price of $100k or more?

So that's why we are not seeing any price increment in ETH. Well, I somehow have the idea that it will gain more volume with time but did not know that the trading is not started yet as I am not into ETF trading so did not know that. Thanks for the news. I hope when the trading starts the value of the ETH ETFs will start booming. Or do you think it will also follow the same pattern as BTC did?

Overall, I am happy for ETH and with time it will get the approval for trading as well. It has given people a second option to store their money into like for diversification to minimize the risk of investment. Its good to have this option, I was reading where people are now concerned to know that if there are any other crypto assets ETF in the pipeline or not. What you guys think?

Ethereum Forum / Re: Will we really see an Ethereum ETF?
« on: June 01, 2024, 10:39:24 PM »
The ethereum ETF has been approved, dude.  But we have not seen ethereum have a good movement, I am also waiting for the news.  If someone wants to manipulate to sell ethereum, I plan to buy it according to my ability, because I have prepared USD for this.  Learn from previous experiences, when bitcoin ETFs were approved.
You are right, at the time of BTC ETF approval we all were expecting it to increase its value quickly like it would be a big pump after the news. But when news after all those dramas came, the price showed no good impact. I was so disappointed at that time as I thought there would be a big pump. Then I thought maybe with time it will increase its value but it did the opposite of it. I don't know why but when with time money started to flow into it.

The prices started to shoot up and came to the point it made new ATH even before the halving. And speaking of this behaviour of BTC I think ETH will also follow the same. And this time half of the smart people involved in crypto have this thing in mind and they must be accumulating as much ETH as they could. Because IMO this is the best time to accumulate.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Is this a good time to buy/stake ETH?
« on: June 01, 2024, 10:27:02 PM »
My curiosity is if this would be a good time to stake ETH? Plus, some CEXs are getting other existing trading and staking events up in anticipation of the approval, are they worth it?
I am not a staker, or prefer it due to some reasons of mine, but speaking of buying ETH now is a good option, as in order to stake ETH you get it first and hold it for a longer period of time and you are earning from two ways, one is from %APY and other is from the price increment as if you bought ETH at $3500 and staked for a time and at that time the price of ETH is $7000. So you earned 2x on the price speculation and from the APY as well.

And speaking of the price, I think ETH is bullish and due to the approval of ETFs, it will definitely going to touch a new all-time high soon. I think it is going to follow the same pattern as BTC followed, first, it will decrease in value, then day by day when more money will flow into it, the price will increase. So I say ETH will not gain value quickly as we expected at the time of BTC ETF approval, it will increase slowly.

OMG BTC of worth $2 billion which now has become more than $3.2 billion due to the price fluctuations in money laundering is big news. I mean I am flattered BTW from the fact that how it became 3.2$ billion due to price fluctuations, this shows that those who have invested big will definitely going to earn big as well. That's an obvious thing well so let's focus on the case only.

When I saw the woman's face I thought she must be some kind of culprit I mean by the looks on her face who would say she had so much money, it seems that she is not a social person maybe, I am glad the process of money laundering has been stopped due to this person. As still the governments of the UK and authorities there will talk bad about BTC, they won't say a word about how she Money is laundered in Gold and via properties they will only talk about BTC as the more amount is in the form of BTC where are the stats showing he had some X money in gold or X money in Properties. Why only go after BTC. That's strange.

So if I have multiple addresses and I am using a unique one every time mean I am using a mixer? haha what are they smoking these days I wonder. Well, I know one thing these people are no joke, they always have some roadmaps, like first they will use the term mixers to pass their bill, because they know using the word mixer will make the situation easier for them but what they don't understand is, they are accusing an entity for there own self benefits.

While it's not how things work, I wonder who are the ones (idiots) who will approve this legislation. I also think of these events as to gain some popularity or attraction as the elections are ongoing. But in these times considering the situation I will say everyone is on the side of crypto (especially the Trump). BTW his chances are lesser. And I also heard Biden also going soft on crypto users and that's why ETH ETFs got approved as five members of the SEC have to make the decision of either approving it or not.

11
I am optimistic that once the Bitcoin ETF is successfully approved by the SEC this year, 2024; there is the possibly of an ethereum ETF in near future. I think that the success of the Bitcoin ETF will determine wether there may be other ETF, for instance, ethereum, Binance, Tron, Solana, polygon ETFs. Now, Do you think other ETFs could follow Bitcoin ETF? Just your thoughts, thank you.
I don't think there will be ETFs for BNB, Tron Solana or Polygon because these are not securities, SEC has declared 4 token securities and those are if I am not wrong, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash. And considering this list, I think the next ETF would be of Litecoin, everybody loves it btw and then BCH.  I am not a fan of BCH and also don't know the stats of this token.

And yeah as of writing this post ETH ETFs have already been accepted and the price is increasing day by day. Yes, other ETFs will definitely follow BTC because of the time when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, it streamlined ways for others to land as well. Same here BTC is Neil Armstrong. The pathway has been cleared by BTC that's why it was difficult for BTC and it won't be for other behind.

Ethereum Forum / Re: ethereum etf approved just now
« on: June 01, 2024, 08:35:24 AM »
Yeah that's good news for all of us, and especially for those who have been accumulating ETH for a long time, as writing of this post ETH has already been approved and the price increment can be seen after the approval. People who bought ETH before 1 or 2 days the decision day are also in profit by now due to the heavy pump in its price. ETFs play an important role in the adoption rate, now people will spend more and more money on ETH. I am talking about those traditional people who prefer to invest in ETFs.

They first will be investing in BTC ETFs but now to diversify their investments and to minimize the risk of losing funds if invested all in BTC, they will go in ETH ETFs as well. It will definitely going to increase the demand for ETH but the demand and supply ratio has to be high, I mean we don't know the exact supply of ETH it keeps coming so I doubt the scarcity factor here.

Do you think that Ether's different ETF approval process is a political influence or something else?
Your post is not making sense to me right now, as the news source you have provided is totally talking about the decisions and nature of the 5 people who voted back at the time of BTC ETFs and now they are concerned about ETH ETF's on the basis of nature of these 5 people who voted back then. By simple means, what the news has tried to compile is, they review the recent interviews, and statements of these 5 people (who voted) to understand their thinking and why they voted against and why not, so they could predict their next vote for ETH.

One of the voters, (Hester Peirce) showed his interest in the crypto industry, she voted for the approval of BTC back then and she seems to vote for ETH ETFs as well. Due to the involvement in the Ether community. Now can you explain a little why you think the process for both was different as I don't read any difference in the source news you provided. Plus there might be more and lesser strictness now and then, as BTC ETFs were first and ETH ETFs are second so ETHs might not have faced such difficulties to get approved.

20 days ago, Tornado Cash developer Alexey Pertsev has been found guilty of laundering $1.2 billion. It's a bit crazy to punish a developer for developing the code.
That's not the first time they have gone after the developer of the program, they have done worse i.e going after the developer of  Silk Road's developer Ross. They have punished him more than the expected punishment. I don't know what has changed now that they are not punishing to the same extent now. I think their minds have been changed now. With time laws modify themselves.

Well, besides the loopholes in laws, I will say, that 30 ETH is not a small step, a few days ago I replied on a thread that was Bitcoin Fund Saving scheme website posted here on "News related to Crypto". I am unable to find the link to that thread now, but that website is run by some people who have lawyers with them, and if people would donate them they will fight the first case of Tornado Cash devs. I hope you might have heard about that site as well. BTW I did not know about juice boxes as well, I wonder how many fundraising platforms would be there for such donations.

Ethereum Forum / Re: CAN I EARN JUST BY HOLDING MY ETHEREUM
« on: June 01, 2024, 08:02:16 AM »
I’ve been holding onto my Ethereum and Bitcoin cash for a while now, and honestly, I’ve been unsure about what to do with it. I know ETH is a valuable asset, but simply holding it doesn't seem like the best way to maximize its potential. Price has been flying up and down recently, but i'm bullish on it with the upcoming ETF approval, that is if it was approved it will be a plus for most retail holders like myself. Do you have any idea how i can make the most out of my holdings.
Yes, you can earn money by just holding Ethereum because it's a good coin for long-term investment, as of writing this post, ETFs have been approved and the prices have increased a lot. And day by day, just like BTC the price of ETH will decrease and increase. The type of increment are expecting with ETH due to ETF approvals is not going to happen because they same expectations we had with BTC ETFs.

So I think ETH ETFs will follow the BTC ETFs pattern, and that is it will decrease its value for the first few months maybe and after that there will be a boom in the price of ETH and we will see it at $6000 and many people including me are also saying it can easily touch $10k target. Which according to me is a good option. And ETH is going to give you more returns in compared to BTC as it can easily give you 2x at CMP while BTC can't give you more than 1x at CMP.
