Decentralized Team / Re: Report Spammers
« on: May 25, 2024, 07:49:23 PM »
~

After reading your post, I would like to say a few things...

The first thing is that I totally agree with you. We can't "complain" about payments when things like this happen. The second thing is that in this case the moderators cannot do anything, since although it is true that he has written 15 posts in a very short time, he has not broken any rules of the forum.

I think that in this case it is the manager who should take action, and possibly those measures could be a rule in which users must publish their weekly quota throughout the week, and for example expand the minimum of 100 characters per post. By expanding the number of characters in each post, managers will ensure that users develop and express their ideas and opinions better, or at least I think so.

About a week ago I saw this on Telegram:

That user only received payment for 9 posts, I seem to remember.

I think it is possibly the quickest and most effective solution for users who are trying to abuse to realize that they are doing things wrong.

I'll say something else, although some call me an iron fist again... When users do that and nothing happens, the overall campaign can degrade. Getting that user to change their behavior is one solution, and if that doesn't work, another solution would be to remove the user from the campaign so that someone else can do an acceptable and adequate job.

Edit: I will try to talk to the affected user.

Basic questions about this forum / Re: My question about Karma?
« on: May 25, 2024, 04:35:44 PM »
This is pretty interesting that the most requested, ever since I got here will finally be available. Right now, it makes me curious if it includes showing what post/s got the negative karma or only the positive one. Because as far as I remember, the admin mentioned before that making it visible, spwcifically the negative karma, might create a conflict to every user who got it and send it.

The karma shown must always be positive and negative. Ignoring negative karma would only serve to deceive ourselves.

I see, so the goal is to show the post/s have been earning positive and negative karma without including the name of the user who gave it? Right? It's a great option, at least no conflict will occur.

Exactly, the idea is that each thread/post has an individual karma counter, but like now, sending that karma remains anonymous. It will give us more information about the topics that forum users are most interested in and possibly a path forward, since this information will be very useful also for possible advertisers. But like I said, the admin is still working on it and there is no approximate release date.

XRP - Ripple Forum / Re: Can XRP hit $100?
« on: May 25, 2024, 11:02:59 AM »
Actually it's hard to say that this will occur very soon but to me XRP is not any every other altcoin that are easily being manipulated over the price since their case with SEC isn't solved, I think $100 is a good projection but could take a longer times, after their case within that period of winning the case the price could hit back 3$ or 5$ maybe the next target would be 10$.

$5 may seem like a more or less reasonable value to me, but I also think $10 is too much. The total supply of XRP is 100,000,000,000. I think it is easy to do the calculations to know the amount of money that would be necessary to inject into XRP to reach the $10 you say, I will not talk about $100, I have already said it on other occasions. Ripple has a lot to do before it can return to normal XRP development, so after a while we may see new features that give XRP a new boost. In the meantime, it is likely that the value will not have too many changes, unless we are close to an altcoin season.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Roger Ver has been arrested
« on: May 25, 2024, 07:34:30 AM »
See? They give people all kinds of stupid-ass sentences for a tax-related crime.

Ross is serving a double-life sentence without parole for making a drug store.

And then you have the Tornado Cash guy serving over a year in prison for making a mixer.

Meanwhile, it is almost impossible to put people like Donald Trump in prison even for one day.

The justice system in the US is two-tiered: One for rich old fiat white men and one for the rest of us.

Try to indict Jamie Dimon for anything, for example - it's not going to happen - if anything even, it'll just be a slap on the wrist.

But that's not something that happens only in the United States. In any country in the world, anyone who has a lot of money accused of something has a much better chance of being acquitted (and paying a simple fine) than someone who, for example, works in construction and lives with just enough money month to month. But I think we must also take into account that not only the wealth of the accused plays a role, but also contacts or friendships with powerful and influential people. If the 30 years thing is true, it seems really crazy to me.

Thanks for the information, what I want to ask is that does this malwares with crypto stealers also in the old windows because I have an old windows laptop that I am using, or it is only to new window computers in the market. So that I can know what to do next, because I have my wallet on my laptop.

The older the version of Windows you have installed on your laptop (Windows 7 was released in 2009 and Windows 10 in 2015), the greater the risk of vulnerabilities and security breaches. Windows 7 ended support on January 14, 2020, and Windows 10 will end support on July 29, 2025. In fact, it's not just that Windows focuses less on security (which is also true) but the large amount of software available that is not open source, so no one can review the code.

A possible solution to this problem (at least it is what I would do) would be to make a backup copy of your wallet and install another, more configurable operating system. In my case, I have been using Unix-like systems, such as BSD and GNU/Linux, for many years. The choice is yours.

I don't spend the day looking at my wallets to know the value of my coins/tokens, I think that's not good for mental health, besides, whether I look or not, whatever has to happen will happen without me being able to do “anything”. What I usually do is place a value limit close to the ATH of each coin/token and in this way receive a notification when the market is close to reaching values that it has not yet reached. When I started with cryptocurrencies, I spent a lot of time each day looking at the value of my assets, but I soon realized that it was a waste of time that prevented me from focusing on more important things.

Still I didn't post my Airdrop content on this platform. How can I got the access?

If the problem is this, the administrator has already told you what you should do.

your rank is newbie on bttn  >> can't teleport that
just be active and you will be able to grow your rank
also you can get the express/copper rank, if you need to add links :
https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=146555

Have you followed the steps indicated in the post that the administrator gave you?. If you haven't, that's probably why you can't post links yet. If you have already done it, send a PM to the administrator and the process will continue.

Otro cambio de logo @famososMuertos. En esta ocasión por la muerte de Kabosu, el perro que fue la cara de Doge.

Algo más de información sobre esta noticia: Kabosu, Dog Who Inspired Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, Is No More.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Roger Ver has been arrested
« on: May 24, 2024, 09:19:38 AM »
what I do know is that he has been attacking Bitcoin for many years.

Not true
Stop smearing people putting words in their mouth freemind

Ver has been attacking a "BTC" that didn't work anymore as a mean of payment but just as a tool to make money
There you go freemind
What Happened To Bitcoin?

Ver has been promoting a coin that should fulfil the task of BTC according to its original goal - which is to replace fiat.

You are smearing Ver as a BTC traitor.
BTC traitors are those crypto people - how about you - who are accustomed to use BTC just as a tool to make money.

You call Ver parasite.
In my view parasites are those - how about you - taking advantage of a currency that was meant to replace fiat with sound money - to improve society - and turning it simply into a tool to make money.

Let's not multiply the threads unnecessarily
Roger Ver has been arrested

Source: https://twitter.com/rogerkver/status/962366940793667584

I could give many more examples, but I think one is more than enough. Now all you have to do is say that Craig Wright is Satoshi...

If Ver faces tax evasion charges, the trial comes later, and the charges and possible conviction (if any) would be for tax evasion.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Anonymity - good or bad?

Smart! Yes, I have also started to use other options. Anyone specific ones that you recommend? I think Revolut is pretty nice for now (but also European pf course)

Of the ones I have used in recent years, the ones that have given me the least problems are Alexandria Bancorp Ltd (Cayman Islands) and Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (Italy). But you must take into account several factors before opening an account (card) with these banks, depending on your country of residence, the KYC requirements can vary greatly, and also the fact if said account is for personal use or for a company.

On some occasions (unfortunately it has happened to me too) there are more problems due to the country in which we reside than due to the bank's demands, at least when we talk about European banks. The banks that I have mentioned have not given me any problems (I hope they continue like this) and they always have some guarantees in case of economic disasters.

Because as far as I remember, the admin mentioned before that making it visible, spwcifically the negative karma, might create a conflict to every user who got it and send it.

What can create conflict is knowing which user gives negative karma to another user, it is something that could cause problems and create a bad atmosphere in the forum. A few weeks ago the admin said he was working on a system to show a karma counter (positive and negative) for each post separately, that way we can know which posts are most interesting to the community. It is something that has not yet been implemented, but when the time comes it will be very useful to find out what is most interesting for users.

First of all, i think this thread should be posted on "Incentivised Posting / Shill" board instead. Secondly, those who fell into scam probably shouldn't blindly trust someone else. After all, scam in form of recovery or help service also exist.

I moved the thread to the board where it belongs.

+1

As for the product that is offered, I am not clear. Trusting strangers to recover money that other strangers have scammed from me does not seem like a very logical solution to me.

The fact that they ask for 50% of the money in advance, before doing anything, is something I don't like at all, especially if there is no escrow involved.

Forum related / Re: Can we add Links in Profile Avatars?
« on: May 23, 2024, 04:22:15 PM »
Something like what @dkbit98 suggests could be used for mixers, for example, (although it could be used with other products) that way users who visit the forum would not have to copy the URL or have to search in a search engine, where there are many links to phishing/scams. The link would always be the correct one without the possibility of writing it wrong or having to remember it.

For other types of uses, other than signature campaigns, as we have mentioned, it is best to reserve this function for high-ranking users.
