HODL is a good decision if you want to invest long term and hold the top coins.
But when the market situation is sideway then trading is a good choice, I don't recommend you to trade, but take the opportunity when the altcoin price drops and then sell with a profit of 3% to 4% I think it's a good choice and I try to buy when the market situation is like now, then do staking to avoid panic when the market is bearish

I think now is the right time to buy, I personally will buy new coins such as DOT, SOL and other coins that have good potential for a long time.  If we remember the history of crypto prices, there is no word going down, crypto prices will always go up.
