There are thousands of altocoin in the market. I have seen each and every altocoin are good which added on coinmarketcap I think most of them don't have potentiality but the have own plan. Do you think most of them are useless???

Yes I see. I think most of the altcoins are useless. I prefer used the top 10 of crypto currency. They are very potential and trusted coin.

I do not know about "most being useless" but it is safe to say that some altcoins listed on coinmarketcap are already dead. I am sure there are also good altcoins that are yet to be listed on CMC.

NO. Big NO. I think that nowadays, many altcoins contain the very unpredictable technology and they are so various with the very advanced concept. However, some coins may be so, useless because they bring the same technology and concept. If you learn more about the technology behind the altcoins, you will know how precious they are, not only look the thing from its price. ok

There are some useless altcoins, especially for dead coins with no transactions anymore. I agree if you define the useless coins because of this condition. But for the coins with very low prices, I don't think they are useless. You should determine the condition of useless coins firstly before you judge them.

Clearly this number is misrepresented however a ton of these projects will cease to exist in light of the fact that a great deal of them are poop.

Yes mostly of alternatives coins will be useless if the alternatives coins does not have real functions for all of community members, or they don't have real of products be offered to the community. That's why i always think about the fundamental aspects of alternatives coins first before making investment in them, it is important thing because it will gives information about the alternatives coins in the future than just their price.

Cryptocurrency isn't supported, as a general rule, by something. It will exist solely as a result of there's a requirement for it. Yeh most are useless I'd agree, at least 1,500+ I'd imagine. Others, that look really good in the top 20 / 50 may die out over time though. Look at the historical rankings of coins from the peak of the bull market in 2013, most of them that were at the top aren't even in the top 100 of 200 anymore... But interestingly enough, even though many will never re-reach new highs against BTC, they may in the long-term actually hold their USD value ironically.

There are only few altcoins that are stable but others aren't stable. Price flactuates over the course of action or with the passes of time. I have investigate for stable coins, i have found only USDT, USDC and TUSD. Maximum altcoins are undervalued now but i think they aren't worthless. Cryto market is facing hesitation problem from investors. Investors are silent or their capital are engaged now in other investment. Altcoins will recover if this situation don't exist anymore.

Yes its been a good idea to hold top ten altocoin .Beside that many coins has great potentiality and has a great future as well .We need to research them as well.However i wanna mention The coin " Aion " .I think its a good coin and has a great future with well established blockchain coin so that we need to judge them as well.

I think that there are some good coins with real purpose and many others that simply does not have any concrete usage or are identical each other...I hope that this period of crysis will eliminate all fake and useless coins so that when market will rise again only good ones will survive.

Yes great thinking.I have seen like this situation in the past .But the market recovered from that now we are facing this situation again and i am also thinking that where the investor are they engaged .I hope they are making a plan and come out with a huge positive momentum.

There are a lot of them actually and they really have potential...but the situation on the market is such that no new coins or top ten can not prove themselves.They're being held artificially.Until the trend is replaced by a growing-everything will be as it is now.

I don't think all of the altcoins that don't have enough good price are useless. Coinmarketcap list only good token/coin who come from a big, unique projects. The price of token dump for many cause. Sometimes its dump for any mistake made by team or beaing less activities of team. But that can be happen it will worth enough when team complete any of their development.

Unfortunately, yes! Altcoins creating for a project. Their value depend on this projects. But they don't run this project! They are collect money and list in somewhere. Someone should regulate them!

Many factors influence the growth of coins and one of them is the #DevelopmentTeam . If the coin is not continued by the #DevelopmentTeam , the coin will not be useful because no team can develop it. Many coins are now left by the team and it is difficult to find investors. So useless coins will disappear.

There were over 1,300 coins more or less many without anything more than a whitepaper . They had even gone so far as to grab photos off the net as their team. Most of them are not managed by an experienced team and most new businesses won't make it a year in normal industries . This means most will disappear within a few years time.

I don't think it is useless but it cannot attract people's interest and does not achieve the project according to the plan then plus the price that is uncertain and decreases causing the project not to run perfectly

I think most of them are shitcoins without the future...those pump and dumps group had use them to lure money and once the price hit the floor the team will not do to save the project as for them they can launch a new project with little tweak on those WP.

I am not familiar with the crypto market at the moment as i just join in the crypto family but i do hear from my friend that more than half of the altcoin in the market is just here to scam crypto users and leech ethereum from them.

How do you determine the useless altcoins? I don't agree if you determine it based on the prices. The prices of all altcoins are experiencing severe reduction, so it is normal if the prices are cheap. You can't state this condition to conclude a useless coin.

Coins that are considered useless if in my opinion are coins that have no selling value. Many new coins are not included in the exchange and if I check that this coin does not have a #DevelopmentTeam . The #DevelopmentTeam left because of difficulties finding investors. Before you invest in new coins, it's better to do research.

I think that only 20-25 altcoins actually are really usable, other ones are too small with too few users so they are practically useless in everyday life. Things may change of course in next future but this is the actual situation I think.

Probably yes Altcoin high numbers on the market is not helping the Crypto-space at all. The more Altcoins are added into the market the more the market is saturated. But eventually i believe that large numbers of those altcoins will not survive for a longterm.

I don't think they are really useless. They have good plans but it is sad to note that not all are really into cryptocurrency which could result in more competition between these altcoins. An investor may choose just one or a few altcoins for an investment and those that are less known might just be left behind though it can be considered a very good coin with a good plan for its future.

coinmarketcap doesn't take care of that. they don't care whether the coin dies or not. or maybe someday coinmarketcap will eliminate coins that are dead.

Yup, that is the reality on cryptocurrency market, almost all of the altcoins out there are just copycat and no real use cases on the outside world so its better to be very careful on picking the the right altcoin.

That could be true that some altcoin are actually useless reason being that there's a great dump in some altcoin maybe the developer abandoned the project on the way because they didn't succeed during the ICO.

there are allot of shit Altcoin which is useless , But the problem is that every new project is creating smart contract because they i know they can used the token to get more peoples to their project which is very unfair .. Unfortunately, most coins have no potential to grow even while on the CMC. Why? Because many projects are analogues of existing, more powerful and well-known. I find altcoins as well great. I have a lot of them and i've never sold one of them. I'll keep them all and i will see within a few years where they are. If they are still alive or dead. Maybe there is one good one between them. You never know. Bitcoin also started very low and look now.

Up until today, i still keeping all the coins that i got either from purchasing or what i've got from the bounty campaign.
Whether it has a value or not, i still kept them in my wallet, and just hoping that all those coins will be able to be sell in the future.

If a project stands behind altcoin, then until a full-fledged launch of a project, altcoin is useless. In fact, the price for it in this case is purely speculative interest. Yes, i believe in that most of them are useless because if the project without a use case is considered as failed project.
And many projects listed in cmc because qualified for the listing. But it so sad that after listing most project suddenly died, some are dev running also scamming.

What you have seen is not right, not all altcoin are good. There are several of them on CMC that analyst had considered dead basically because they are not been traded for two months or more and with poor volume. In short, many altcoins are useless or dead and no good use cases.

I don't think if a coin is dead automatically means that it is useless. Maybe the idea was good but lacked a good team to put it into practice, or perhaps they didn't have the necessary funds to develop it, who knows. On the other hand, there are really a lot of useless coins.

Are your sure? Can you mention those altcoins? I am surprised that you said 100 altcoins possibly become dead coins on coinmarketcap. But it may be true, coinmarketcap is only recorded all coins that have been created till today. And those altcoins may have weak team members behind them.

Maybe there are some who are considered dead already because their team are not giving most of their time and effort to make their projects successful. But there are more altcoins that have promising projects and the team is really doing everything to keep them in the market.

Very many of them really do not represent any value, but their price depends on Bitcoin, so they remain a convenient tool for speculation, and few offer real plans to improve prices!

The fact of being listed on CMC doesn't by any way mean that the coin is usefull or promising. The problem is that there are only a few worthwhile projects in each area, and thousands of copycats that are just trying to parasite the success of others...
So a lot of alcoins are useless, but this does not mean that some other altcoins can't spread and be used by the whole globe ;D

Yes almost 90-95% of them are useless they might be able to moon for a period of time but in long term their price will be stagnant and will not increase anymore or even drop to nil. Only those coins like ethereum that can really contribute to the cryptospace is a good long term coin.

altcoins are definitely worth it, they just need to wait for a good market so their altcoins can follow the move higher. there are lots of altcoins in my possession they are waiting for the proper launch.

I do not think so. There are many ALTs that has a real-world use case and that makes them valuable. The project is OCEAN and DIA is two good examples of this. We can justify the whole community for some shit project. I know there are a lot of hit ALTs in the market and they have no real use case in the word. That reflects their value.

A strong project always have good team as well they will try to list their Coin in top ranked exchages . We must analysis properly before we are going invest our capital in a project . I always believe that investment in top 10 or 40 coin always profitable .

Yes lot of altcoins are useless you can find it in cryptomarke lot of altcoins trade volume is few dollars or zero because there is no proper improvements in their projects buy they're just listed in small exchanges after that there is no proper information from the project team so you should choose top altcoins for investments.

I do not think so, each type of altocoin created has its own advantages. It is possible that you were fooled by the fake altocoin that you feel it is useless and do not trust it

Currently on the Coinmarketcap site there are more than 6,000 Altcoins listed there, and not all of these Altcoins actually have value as well as being traded on the exchange.
This is all because there are so many Crypto projects that create Altcoins, then they leave these Altcoins because these altcoins are not able to grab market share and investor interest, so many of them are really dead and useless.

Lol, how how will you describe those 99% that dies and worthless? If you look at the altcoin history, most of the earlier coins gone idle and many projects launched last 2017 are either dead or no development at all. It is a fact that only a handful altcoin have real life use case and only a few of them are really useful.

Why i think so because most of the Altcoins are very much popular and profitable, effective. When you posted this comments, then we passed a big miserable time in cryptocurrency market. All coins then dumped acutely. But now market conditions are in very good condition.

I agree with most of the comments on this topic. Most of them consist of correct statements with justified reasons. Unfortunately, altcoins can provide a lot of opportunities for scam jobs due to their creation costs.
however, this does not require us to be pessimistic. We are in a very new market yet. As everything in the world will one day be equipped with blockchain technology, good work will surely come to light and will receive the attention it deserves. Thus, this bad image will also come to an end.

There are a lot of altcoins that are short-lived but never useless. It is created for the purpose or to solve a problem, when its creator has met the needs of use, they will be forgotten.
