Why you can conclude most altcoins useless? Do you get data from a certain source or you do your own research?
In my view, we only can say useless on most new altcoins, especially from ICOs. While for old or top altcoins are truly good and far away from useless as you said. Many people are investing in top altcoins, ex: ETH, XRP, ADA, BNB, LTC, XLM, TRX, etc. This is proof that those altcoins are useful, at least as digital assets.

I agree with you. Many new altcoins cannot be trusted, just a few deserve to be invested. Many become shit-coins, that's why people don't really believe in new altcoins. We just say useless for these altcoins only.

I would not say useless but it is a fact that only a handful projects reach the level of success that they aim for. I have seen some good projects with good teams failing as well so you never know, it is part and parcel of business and investment.

If they are only shit-projects with unvalued tokens, then they just become useless, both the projects and the altcoins of the projects as well. Yes, some altcoins are useless because they do not have good development. In addition, there are new coins that are included in the CMC list and until now have no selling value. I think it should be rechecked. So that coins that no longer grow can be excluded from the CMC list.

Many projects are copycats of other successful projects. And sometimes they duplicate the successful project, right down to the whitepaper. Some niches are even bursting at the seams with startups which don't have anything to add to the nich or crypto

I don't think so...
every Altcoin must have its own market and also have the opportunity to shift other Altcoins that are not able to survive. so I think not a single Altcoin is useless.

Each altcoin is born with very unique ideas. However, the practical application is not. That is the reason why its price will be gradually reduced in the long run. I think most altcoins have only one role, which is to increase profits for investors (traders) in some short-term markets.
