We can't say all alts are useless though many of the alts coins were developed by people with malicious intention. But there are alts that will stand the test of time. Some alts have good backing and real life use cases, always lookout for such alts coins

the altcoins serves the purpose it is meant for. alternative coins. bitcoin can not solve every purpose meant for the cryptocurrencies. this is the reason why we have altcoins and they are serving the purpose corrently if you will ask me. the useless ones are the scandalous tokens with out any usecase.

I would not say outrightly useless, but most altcoins are repitition and it does not speak well for the space. Truely the blockchain preaches equal opportunities but it has led to fake and scam altcoins everywhere without a use case.

Until modern times, the majority of altcoins in more than 5000 tokens/coins are useless, as you said. The community only remembers a few names related to blockchain platform & DeFi projects.
Even 10% of the 5,000 tokens/coin is too much for a small market like crypto.

Yes, every altcoin has its own plan and its not totally useless. Its very tough to establish a new coin in the market but every coin are trying to hold the place in the market. So, though most of them have less potential now, it may be very popular in the future.

It is very concerning that we cannot stop the scammers. Many altcoins come to the market with attractive offers but after some days they flew away with making a lot of funds. But really these altcoins are useless. It is very much necessary to identify such scammers.

In crypto market there are more than 1500 altcoins in the crypto market but most of them are not useless. Last few years we saw that lot of scammers attract to the crypto currency market. I dont think so.Obviously most altcoin is useless if you see the chart in coinmarketcap. Because for fake ico investment. They just make a fake project's and exit as a scam.
