I have been doing your strategy for years and this time I will be much smarter , why I need to keep holding for long when I can sell my coins when there is at least 50% profit and wait for the price to lower again so I could buy cheaper .

If we see the ATL of 2023 then it was around $16k if I am not wrong so those who must have bought in that time, they have made 3x till now and they will make another 3x very easily due to the insurance nature of BTC.
And I can not agree more with your advice that we should hold BTC rather than making small trades, and it has been proved so many times that those who plan to make profits and for sure while they have lesser trading knowledge then they should go for holding because holding gives more profit then trading plus in trading you don't have to spend whole lot of time in doing analysis.

You are right @ OP, there had been intended short-term Investors who who thought of selling their coins in a certain period of time but due to the volatile nature of the coins, the market hasn't proffered profitable values in returns so they would have not choice than extending their hodling capacity because they are majorly into the crytop industry to make profits.
I would advice while you so long awaits the approval or the ATF at the bull-run, if you can, then accumulate more of Bitcoin so that you could earn more as much more is invested.

I haven't invested in Bitcoin yet, because I took a break for a while. Couldn't hold bitcoin due to current bitcoin price hike. But for me, hold is the most preferred, that's why long-term holding is less risky. Because I see a lot of bitcoin investors post here, they say long term investment has very less chance of loss. Bitcoin price will cross the peak level in this Bitcoin halving year 2024.

Yeah I agree with you mate, the only way to enjoy Bitcoin investment is through holding so I can never advice someone to invest short on Bitcoin because in as much as they may feel that they are seriously on profits with any little move of Bitcoin can never be compare with the profit they may likely get if they decide to hold.

IMO, it is no longer our problem if these investors don't see themselves staying on this market for so long. That's how it goes for them and it's way too different for us. We have our own plans and visions as we are on this market, while them, they just see it as a temporary matter for them. It depends on how they see things and we see things differently, I respect them if they don't see themselves staying on holding Bitcoin for a long time because they think that might not work for them. So, if they're shorting it soon, that's fine but that's not going to change my decision for holding long term.

Your plan is awesome but we don't know exactly when and what is the maximum ATH of Bitcoin after the block halving there is no problem for other people to exit from holding if they already made a profit than still holding it while the price continuously drops. Greediness is one of the issues why some people are not able to maximize their profit.
If you want to maximize your profit you need to ride on the market from ups and downs like other traders do. Most traders are bored with holding assets which is why they ride on the market to maximize their profit. When we are approaching the halving era, it may no longer be relevant to continue talking about long-term investments. but long-term investment purposes can continue to be implemented because it will apply every 4 years, during which time bitcoin will experience an increase to form a renewable ATH again.I agree with you that those who are good at analyzing are actually able to make short-term investments to get good profits because they are able to analyze when to buy when the market goes down and immediately sell when the market rises and repeat it, but of course those who are able to keep a good eye on Bitcoin's movements are also able to do so.

Buying Bitcoin and just HOLDING it will give you little to even negative yields in the short term.
As a Bitcoin investor, you have 2 options to maximize your profit. It's either you will use that Bitcoin in trading, and that way, you can get more profits in a short amount of time, or just hold it and do nothing, but it will take time for you to get some profits. If you are holding Bitcoin, hold it for the long term (at least 3 years I would say) and I would suggest to just sell during the bull run.

I mean it peaked in 2017, then it peaked again in 2021. I believe there's a pattern to it, and markets move in cycles. I'm a believer in it that's why right now, I'm still accumulating Bitcoin in preparation for the bull run that "MIGHT" happen next year. :)

There are many investors who hold Bitcoin for the short term. Currently holding and will sell bitcoin if there is a profit. Those who invest in Bitcoin for the sake of small profits are short-term holdings. The risk is much higher in short-term holds because there is a higher chance of losses if you buy bitcoins at high prices and come in at low prices.

Alot of people have sold theirs in losses because of the urge of making quick profit, for instance during the time bitcoin dipl to the price range of $15k alot of people panic and sold theirs in losses sadly I was also a victim of that. what if the coin you sell in hope of buying again in low price, never drop? what if it keep increasing after you selling at 50%? what if it goes to 100%, 200% or even 300%?
I am not saying what you do is wrong. but you should be prepared for anything when implementing such strategy. one thing you can do is sell 50% of your holding at 50% profit. then buy again if token price drop. if it don't drop and kept increasing you will still have another 50% to sell for higher rates.

Whether it's short term or long term, if it's equally profitable, why not? People who do it in the short term can be said to want faster profits when it rises by 20 - 30%, they can sell it because they have met the target planned from the start.
Meanwhile, when investing in the long term, they want bigger profits, you could say they also want to maximize when Bitcoin reaches ATH, this is actually quite simple, you just HODL, forget the market and come back after it is bullish.

It was very near to reach $50k target but today market dump for unknown reason. Well i think Who bought bitcoin in 2022 or some months before, was the perfect time for investment. Good for you, you have experience Bitcoin reaching ATH before and only that will give you the experience to know how the market will go about when its comes to buying and holding till that time. The best approach for Bitcoin investment is undoubtedly to HODL for a long-term. Bitcoin isnt like every other tokens that you can just buy today and you're already expecting a return next month or even anytime sooner. Bitcoin should be held for long-term before you can even reap the profits that Bitcoin promises
It really is. As time has shown (over the last year), it was more profitable to store than to trade. Again, it all depends on your goals/for what period you buy for/how much % of income you want to get, etc.
P.S. If you want to maximize your return on an asset. Buying/selling, should always be on a small %. In case of a short-term rise/fall, you will be in a more favorable position than others.
To give you an example: the resistance level has strengthened and there is approximately 2,800 BTC (equivalent to 180$ million) between the current price and 71,000$.

Technical analysis is based on the belief that history will repeat itself. In the past, BTC has never created a new ATH before the halving, but in this cycle we have seen it, meaning our understanding of the halving is still incomplete.
I also predicted BTC could only reach $39K at Halving, but now that prediction is unlikely to come true. Instead, we can expect higher price like $77K at halving, even $100K as many others are expecting.

I'm pretty confident for now that Bitcoin could break $80k by the time the halving occurs, and therefore to reach $100k, it will be at least a few months after the halving actually occurs. Here it seems like a lot of people believe the 4 year cycle is happening again and this isn't a prank (hopefully).
The holding limit that I set for selling is before the new year 2025. Yes, I want to sell it maybe around Christmas for the last remaining BTC if I still have it. Until now, I choose to hold at least until the halving occurs.

Exactly and you have said it all. Most people are coming to this industry are just calling the name bitcoin and Bitcoin but they don't know how to handle and keep their investment save. The option of trading is there but for some reason it's very risky and I don't think it's advisable for people that have not gone through thorough classes except only if you are planning on putting money on some specific altcoins project that pump like crazy during this period that can fetch you significant amount of profits especially the newly listed coins that some of the project head decides to pump it all up.

I don’t think that it’s the right decision to store all your free money only in Bitcoins Bitcoin is a very young investment opportunity that can turn around and may simply stop growing and therefore it’s better not to invest your money only in Bitcoins or in any other cryptocurrency in general, you have to think about the future and if you want to make a profit and not be nervous, then it is better to buy real estate with your water money. Last season cannot be a benchmark for bitcoin price movements. Did last year's bullrun or ATH occur after before the halving? no, ATH was only created one year after the halving, so why was ATH created this year before the halving happened? But little difference with this year at the early have show good progress how bitcoin raise new ATH during one month before halving, current four months later bitcoin get back correction and likely need several months later until the end of this year for bitcoin going up higher price.

I don't think that a person should keep holding their assets even if the prices are favorable and they can get decent profits on their investments, even if they don't sell everything at once, they can at least sell a portion of their holdings to get some profit and then keep holding the remaining assets just in case the prices go higher in the future.

Taking profit whenever the time is right is what I always suggest as well. I don't think that a person should keep holding their assets even if the prices are favorable and they can get decent profits on their investments, even if they don't sell everything at once, they can at least sell a portion of their holdings to get some profit and then keep holding the remaining assets just in case the prices go higher in the future.
Some people say they wouldn't sell at all even if the price goes significantly high because they believe there will always be better prices, I don't like that, and I believe it is better to take profit, and then see how the market reacts, you should have both some assets and some liquid assets and be ready for any market condition.

Yes you are right everything is just repetitive, like up and down and so on.
I learned from my mistakes and those mistakes made me a new investor within five years after the price of Bitcoin was at $73k I stopped buying and now I focus on selling everything.

You missed the opportunity recently to buy at $56k last week that is why DCA is always the best strategy if you are a long-term holder because you will miss the dip if you don't do DCA sometimes fear is one of the reasons why we don't buy at the low price and we think that the price will still drop more.
