EOS Forum / Re: Invest In EOS or Waves?
« on: December 16, 2018, 01:24:15 AM »
I know we all want Waves and crypto generally to do well, so imo it's very important to be honest about known risks and outright scams - if people invest on the back of everyone saying "everything's fine!" then they'll rightly feel scammed and it'll hurt the system.

Some venture capital firms, like Andreessen Horowitz, have stayed true to their vision and continued to lead investments during a market downtrend. However, the majority of venture capital firms habitually headed to the exits once the industry started to dwindle.

Another opponent of the fintech is Jon Truby, who says that such a large amount of electricity used for mining digital currency can further sharpen the greenhouse problem and raise the level of environmental pollution. However, some people argue that all the fuss around the enormous negative effect of crypto mining is heavily exaggerated.

All specifications, parameters, and transaction types can be changed to fit the blockchain required for the application. By creating a sidechain that allows Lisk to interact with it, but not the other way around, it creates a trustworthy immutable database.

Dogecoin Forum / Re: Dogecoin in 2020, win or fail?
« on: December 09, 2018, 03:32:53 PM »
No matter what the experts say about the parody coin, it’s pretty clear that it’s here to stay. Currently, Dogecoin developers have embarked on developing the platform once again after years of abandonment.  Plus Dogecoin has somewhat regained its popularity as the developers have already updated and released new protocols that allow exchanges and merchants like LazyPyramid accept Dogecoin as payment.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Government trying to stop bitcoin, what I see
« on: December 08, 2018, 10:12:09 PM »
When this happens, the activities overwhelmingly stop – just like the trading of hashish on the streets has stopped. Hashish may still be sold by the organized criminals in some underworld and that could still be the case of the Bitcoin. But the huge valuation of the Bitcoin we experience – and it kept on growing – is only justifiable by a mass adoption, by its being legal enough.

I think money Laundering actually started when laws were made against what is now called money laundering. Before those laws money laundering was considered to be privacy.

It remains the poster-child for the cryptocurrency industry, though critics suggest that its volatility, slow speeds, energy usage and higher transaction fees will put a limit on its growth.
