I agree with this. It is one of the first coins that implemented the Lightning Network, and Atomic Swaps. Lightning network, increases the speed and minimized transaction fees, and Atomic Swaps are tools to exchange coins on the blockchain, without the need of a cryptocurrency exchange. In the Litecoin forums, Charlie Lee, announced that developers, are working on a confidential transaction protocol, that will be added to the consensus, of the next version. This is a great improvement, in the functionality of Litecoin, so we will see more coming up.
