Zcash Forum / Zcash price keeps falling, whats your opinions?
« on: October 10, 2018, 09:56:45 PM »
So ive seen that the ZEC price keeps falling with a couple of intermitent increases. Whats your opinions on whats going on? Judging by the amount ive read about people mining it i find it surprising that its still falling, I wouldve thought it would be pretty stable,if not growing steadily.

Being fooled into “guaranteed” daily returns is my biggest mistake and i regret it up till this moment. Its hard to resist such an offer when you're under a lot of financial pressure.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Are fiat currencies necessary in the world?
« on: October 10, 2018, 09:16:05 PM »
in the future, will there really be a need for fiat currency? Government can collect taxes in crypto, determine how to allocate it, and spend it in crypto. Ppl can receive salaries and do all commerce using crypto. Loans can be done in crypto. Fundraising can be in crypto. Sure, problems have to be worked out in terms of scalability, does it have to be completely decentralized, etc, the value has to become more stable. But theoretically, is there any reason to have fiat in the future?

It has been established that governments can now do taxation without representation by printing more money (which is a tax on everyone holding the currency), instead of trying to get a bill passed that allows it to increase the tax rate. With crypto this would be no more. All increased taxation would have to pass a vote.

From an economic standpoint, the idea that a country can stimulate its economy by adjusting interest rates is tenuous. There is just as strong an argument that lowering interest rates has caused speculation and bubbles, with calamitous results. In a crypto market economy, capital will flow from where it is needed less to where it is needed more.

Ethereum Forum / Real alternatives to Ethereum smart contracts?
« on: October 08, 2018, 09:18:56 AM »
There are BitShares, EOS smart contracts but I hardly see any usage of them in real projects.
I don't count ETH classic because it's the same architecture.

What are the good working alternatives to Eth smart contracts that can be used in a real-world project right now?

Cryptocurrency discussions / How long will the bear market last?
« on: October 07, 2018, 05:50:08 AM »
Hello community

The market is in a bearish trend for several months. One says that "sharks" create panic with the help of news, forcing small holders of bitcoins to sell themselves to buy cheap, others say that at the end of 2018 bitcoin will soar like a rocket. Many people write and speak on this topic. How do you think how long the bear market will last?

Bitcoin Forum / Do you actually use Bitcoin?
« on: October 06, 2018, 10:19:07 AM »
As far as I am more and more in it, I can do some conclusions.

1) People are mostly not using the Bitcoin (altcoins as well);
2) Crypto-enthusiasts are real enthusiasts only when the price goes up;
3) Even considering there are more crypto-companies appear which offer their services, and more people join our community - the level of crypto education and adoption is still very low;

Almost 95% of all people in crypto I know personally are holding or trading, but not using it to its functionality. I cannot judge anyone for this, but let's be honest - it won't bring you any money if you just will buy it and wait.

So, there is a question: "How much of you use Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency to its full capacity?" I am curious about this because as for now it looks like there is only a small group of people making some contributions.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Hold or Sell
« on: October 05, 2018, 09:38:25 PM »
In trading how do you know if it is time to still hold or is it the right time to sell? Do you go buy your profit margin  or actually wait for the highest possible peak?
For example if you're earning like 10% of your investment, would you just sell or would you be interested in waiting and seeing if it goes more up so you could earn more, in doing that its possible that it may go down and you then earn like 5-8%
But what is your process in this? How do you go about hold and sell timings?

Bitcoin Forum / Is Bitcoin that really decentralized, as you believe?
« on: October 03, 2018, 12:21:54 PM »
Everyone here believes, that Bitcoin system is fully decentralised and is not
affected by any authority.

Almost everyone at this forum understand, that bitcoin nodes work by some rules and
the nodes, that do not obey that rules are simply ignored.

Well. Then I have a question.

We have a single authority, that provided that rules, right?
The same authority is in the posession of the majority of the nodes, as far, as they update to new versions of the software.
Right?

So, we have a single center, that not only presented us The Idea, The Rules, The Standard, The Protocols, The Software - in the past,
but can and will inevitable change the rules, the standarts, the protocols and the software.
Well, software may be reimplemented by the third parties, that is a not a problem.

But the rules? The nodes, that do not obey The Rules are ignored, remember?
One single center have the freedom to manipulate the rules.

Who is the center? Is it a person, or just an account on a hosting? I think, that accessing an account will be enough to manipulate the system.
So, the system is as secure/vulnerable, as the hosting account used to distribute the software, or what?
Your money is as secure as some hosting? OMG...

Bitcoin Forum / Bitcoin grows everyday through Shared knowledge
« on: September 29, 2018, 07:00:12 PM »
I came across a quote made by someone on this forum which goes like,'An open mind is one of the best assets when it come to cryptocurrency'.
 This quote got me thinking, to make bitcoin (cryptocurrency) grow everyday in relation to clearing all misconceptions people have, we need to share our little knowledge about bitcoin on this forum. Sharing of  knowledge will create an atmosphere for people to be open minded and also help newbie investors to understand the crypto world and the market. I realized there is quite a great number of very helpful people and resources on this forum.
 What do you guys think? Do you agree with me?
