Is Cardano capable of surpassing Ethereum?

Cardano is a newcomer who has a decent community to compare with Ethereum, indeed the market capitalization of Ethereum is superior for now because many supporters behind Ethereum cannot escape. While Cardano is still in the testing phase and there are not many projects that implement Cardano as the underlying platform for a project. The interaction of the GitHub Cardano is pretty good, maybe there could be an alternative choice besides the Ethereum platform.
