General Discussion / Re: Face reality
« Last post by LogitechMouse on Today at 08:52:58 AM »
~
Facing reality requires learning, adapting and working tirelessly until you achieve what you want to become. Most people who are born into a rich home and get what they want without working for it do not know how reality looks like until there supplies are no more available, so we have to work and be smart enough to face reality.
What do you think about facing reality?
Just a few weeks ago, I realized that I really need to learn an online skill and I need to work tirelessly in order for that to be achieved. I really want to be a freelancer for a very long time, but I'm having a hard time finding the niche that I want - that's until I found what I want to learn and passionate about it.

When I learned the niche that I want to excel, I want to face the reality now. The reality that I need to put countless amount of effort, work tirelessly and even sacrificing some of my sleeping hours just to learn it. I really wanted to be a successful freelancer, and in order for that to be achieved, I need to adapt, and learn a skill.

Do any of you hold a full Bitcoin, or even more? I'm betting at least one person here does.
I believe there are some who are silently holding 1 whole Bitcoin here in the forum, and as for me, that's one of my dreams, but I'm pretty sure that my dream will forever be a dream, and will never be a reality. :D
being aware is a good thing but you should not just stop there

dream high but never stop dreaming your dreams have no deadline so as long as you live try to find ways to make your life better and for you to achieve your dreams

No comment about trading. I'm one of those traders out there who failed to make profit off of it. I started, stopped because I lost and that cycle happened 3 times. Ending was, I lost all of my money.
three times? did you at least learn from the first and second time? it is normal to make mistakes but you have to learn from it

but i guess trading is not exactly for you, there are still other ways for you to earn from crypto

If there were enough topics, creating a TON board would be good, but I do not think that the problem is creating more boards as much as more useful discussions.

Gambling discussion / Re: Positive gambling experience
« Last post by Igebotz on Today at 08:47:30 AM »
When a gambler experience to win and he or she is not contented and chase that is when he will be losing more than he has won not unless he was lucky enough to secure the jackpot but I still see people who earn millions from gambling and ends up broke because they don't gamble responsibly.
This emphasizes on the reason why gamblers should learn how to gamble responsibly because when a gambler is irresponsible in his gambling sessions, he'll never go home with anything because no matter how much he's able to win, it'll never be enough for him as he will always want more, thereby staking his current win, in some cases, they ecen end up going all in with their winnings, with hopes of securing even bigger wins, which of course we know how it always ends.
It's important for gamblers to first secure whatever wins they've made for the day, no matter how small, instead of staking the money back in.
I call these set of gamblers as people who are greedy and wants to make profit from gambling by all means without thinking if they will lose their current win back to the casino. Gambling should not be something that we think it is by our own doing when we win because if we think so, that is when we will not be satisfied with the little that we win and will want to win more, or we will want to continue chasing our losses believing that we can win them back. Gambling is more of luck and if we understand it like that one will be very grateful will his little wins and he will stop gambling when he is losing.
You're absolutely right,
Gambling should at all time be approached with extreme caution and carefulness, and avoid being caught up in the fantasy of believing that gambling can actually be a viable sources or income or solution to poverty and joblessness, or even a way to gain financial freedom, all these are fantasies and will always remain that, so the best thing gamblers can do for themselves is to always try as much as they can to gamble responsibly and avoid setting unrealistic goals for themselves.
Gambling remains a provider of thrill and fun, and seeing it to be more than that could have disastrous effects and implications on the gambler.
True and that is what makes a lot of gamblers suffer defeat and became broke just because of the fact that they are going too far from having fun. It like video gaming which I was addicted once though I am still playing nowadays but with my past mistakes I changed a lot and put some limits so I can still be productive.

I agree, it is easier to become broke if you want to be rich through gambling. This is because a gambler will gamble uncontrollably, even chasing losses in the hopes of recouping and making more money. This is exacerbated by the fact that, even when there are not many matches in the gambling market, such gamblers will always find a way to bet, even if they have no idea about the strength of the teams available.

Furthermore, turning to gambling to solve a problem increases the likelihood of having more problems. Gambling generates more problems than it solves. Imagine you have $10,000 but want $50,000. In this case, it is best for the gambler to look into other options for raising the $40,000 rather than resorting to gambling. In most cases, the gambler will lose his $10,000 and then instead of looking for $40,000, he will be in search of $50,000. This is even worse if the initial $10,000 he has was borrowed.

Gambling discussion / Re: can gambling be a career?
« Last post by Rubel007 on Today at 08:44:34 AM »
There are lots of gamblers try to chose gambling as a profession by many, but in reality the number of professional gamblers is limited because not everyone can accept it as a profession or career. A professional gambler must balance the risk and reward of gambling. The gambler must create an orderly situation. Do not lose control of yourself for any reason. There are some differences between ordinary gamblers and professional gamblers that gamblers must focus on. If one wants to take sports betting as his career then it is necessary to have deep knowledge about sports. Of course the gambler must remember that gambling is a risky business at any time it can destroy him. So he has to be careful about control in every case. Gambling will result in losses, but they must stop pursuing losses.

Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Info and Prediction Thread

There are reports that Canelo Alvarez vs Edgar Berlanga is being finalized this coming September 14.

If this gonna happen then i think the fight with Terrence Crawford will be scrap once again as Canelo is looking to cash-in with a very easy fight with Edgar Berlanga.

Another cherry-picking at its fullest lol.

And with this news, David Benadivez as per report said that he will challenge the winner of the Bivol vs Beterbiev winner as Canelo Alvarez is simply ignoring him for now and will not give him the chance to have a money fight.

As for Canelo fighting Berlanga, I'm not surprised, he has laid down his plans for this year, to fight the two young and upcoming fighter in Munguia which he already beat and now Edgar Berlanga.

Talking about Munguia, he had signed a deal with Top Rank after 6 years with Oscar Dela Hoya's GBP. So I guess they have accomplished it already fighting Alvarez although it is not the result that they wanted.

Maybe it's just me, but I do believed that Canelo is reserving David Benavidez for his last fight. And it could be his biggest fight as he is building the hype and obviously Canelo has learn a lot from his previous fights.

Munguia to Top Rank? I don't think it's a night move for him as Top Rank doesn't have anyone from 168 lbs to offer for him. But I guess, he is done with GBP promotions and so Bob Arum will have to work again bringing Munguia to the masses and the new face of boxing in the higher weight class.

If Canelo is planning to David Benavidez then the time is now because he is not getting any younger, the sooner this fight to take place the older he gets so he will be at a disadvantage. But if that is their plan then good luck to Canelo.

Speaking of Benavidez, reports had it that he is positioning himself now to be the mandatory of the winner of the fight between Bivol vs Betervieb.

But Canelo is asking ridiculous money for a Benavidez fight and I'm only seeing the Saudi's that are willing to give it to him at $150 million. So perhaps yeah, it could be true that if he is offered that big money then it's for retirement.

I doubt that the fight with Crawford is going to happen, at least for this year. He is already scheduled to fight Berlanga this September. So perhaps if Crawford is willing to go 2 weight class and for the money, it could be May date for them.

Gambling discussion / Re: I will quite gambling... Easy said than done
« Last post by Igebotz on Today at 08:23:26 AM »

Its easy to quit gambling, some gamblers done it a thousand times. They still continue counting. I wm no addict to casino but if I have to compare this to my netflix addiction then its the hardest to resist unless there is a blackout in my city.
(...)

I think it's one of those things when quitting is hard if you think that it's going to be hard, and it's easy if you think that quitting is not a big deal.
Sometimes all it takes is to learn how our brains work, especially when it comes to addictions.
With the right mindset, cutting the bad habits is not as hard as it seems.

Not all the time is this the case. Our thinking will only give us the right attitude and help us overcome addiction, but it will not make it any easier. Do you believe that if I tell myself that overcoming addiction is not difficult, addiction will immediately stop? It's a NO.

Addiction requires action, not just words. If it was as simple as you claimed, I doubt anyone would still be addicted because every addict has expressed interest in overcoming addiction at some point, but only a few of them have succeeded. This is because addiction is a disorder that controls a person, making it difficult to resist temptation to gamble.

It's important for gamblers to first secure whatever wins they've made for the day, no matter how small, instead of staking the money back in.
They actually has this idea that they made a lot of money out of thin air so why not gamble it to get more out of it but the reality is that good luck comes only once and that is where they miscalculate things that might possibly ends them so badly because they are greedy.
Some gamblers have a misconception that luck will come to him again and again. Who have won the jackpot will not find it easy to get another one again if luck does not come by itself. Fortune is uncertain, but gamblers try to keep it under their control even if it is for self-satisfaction. For those who wish to use gambling for the purpose of earning money, I think fortune may behave more hostilely. That is why gambling is said to be taken as entertainment and not for income.
