His performance during the regular season is still the same as how he was when he's on different team. 24 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 5.0 APG during the regular season. Not an all-star stats, but is good for a 3rd option shooter already.
The only problem is the team where he's at during the last few years. DeRozan's value didn't dip if you will ask me, but maybe for some teams, him being on an underachieving team like the Bulls might affected his trade value. Now that he's with a team that has legit superstars, I still believe he will be a big help for the Kings. He will be the 2nd or maybe 1st option when it comes to offense.
DeRozan may not be at his prime, but I'd say he's still performing like an all-star player. After all, he has been selected to the All-Star Game 6 times previously, even when his stats were worse than last season.
Let's see what happens next season, but so far the Kings look very good on paper.
At the age of 34 years old, he can still deliver 20 PPG at any given night. It's just that, many aren't talking about him anymore because he is playing to a shitty team like the Bulls currently which are considered underachieving. It's good that he's out in Chicago already and be playing in Sacramento.
Kings are now better, but DeMar alone isn't enough for them to be considered a playoff contender or at least a contender in the West. Aside from Monk, and Huerter, I can't think of any good role players on the team anymore. They need solid role players still.
I think it's a good catch for the Knicks to get Bridges from the Nets, and yeah, it seems that the Nets are rebuilding again, and they might have been shopping Ben Simmons after all.
They can shop Ben Simmons all the time, but not team wants him anymore. They will just let his contract end then he will play with the Australian team, or at least overseas. No team in the NBA wants a player who can't even shoot either a three-point or a free throw. Being athletic isn't enough anymore. You need to be a threat to offense as well.
