Title: Will Ethereum flip Bitcoin this cycle?
Post by: dragononcrypto on November 04, 2021, 04:37:31 PM
Ethereum is worth back above 0.07 BTC and currently worth 46% of Bitcoin's market capitalisation and back to 20% of the entire crypto market. Price against USD etc is now back to or above all time high around $4,500 (depending on the exchange). As the no.1 altcoin, it's certainly failing to disappoint investors, especially with Bitcoin still 5% from it's previous ATH.

Question is, will "the flippening" happen in this cycle, next cycle or will Bitcoin remain the no.1 cryptocurrency for the future?

Ethereum can't move closer to Bitcoin because Ethereum is still too afraid of the prestige of Bitcoin's power and the effect this has on Bitcoin and Ethereum owners across the cryptocurrency market.
The clear evidence so far is that Ethereum cannot approach the price of Bitcoin and even the marketcap has a gap that has not yet come close to the Bitcoin marketcap.
For complete evidence, maybe all members here can check it on Coinmarketcap or Coinecko carefully and in detail !

Currently we still see BTC as the crypto king and continues to account for over 40% of the total market cap. ETH is the biggest altcoin but has yet to take control of the market from BTC. People still choose BTC as the most valuable crypto asset to invest in.

2009 created the first time Bitcoin.
2015 was the first time Ethereum was created.

The simple answer is, there's no need for Ethereum to flip Bitcoin !
From this year's achievements, it is also clear that Ethereum still has a fairly large age gap.
The point is that the development of Ethereum has seen a lot of how Bitcoin works first and it is certain that Ethereum is very respectful of Bitcoin.

Although Etherium is best coin and big usecase, but uts very hard to flip Btc. We saw many competitor of Eth like Sol,Luna,Bsc but Bitcoin has no competitor.
Eth dominance has increased but we already seen that all altcoin down with Btc including Eth, then how it will flip Btc?

Nope it won’t happen. ETH will never overtake BTC in market capitalization. BTC and ETH are having different use cases and fundamentals. ETH is focusing on Dapps and not mainly as an alternative to fiat payments because of it’s exorbitant and uncontrollable gas fees.

Ethereum will not be able to beat Bitcoin because Bitcoin is the conscience for Holders.
Ethereum has the strength of a very solid community and is able to attract a lot of investors with the uniqueness of Ethereum.
But Bitcoin has a very strong level of power from everyone who understands crypto and doesn't even understand cryptocurrencies because Bitcoin has its own characteristics for every feature that Bitcoin has.
