Title: Ethereum gas price drops to $0.82 ( 24 gwei ), end of defi/NFT hype?
Post by: Review Master on May 23, 2022, 08:02:57 PM

(https://i.ibb.co/6JQtz2F/gas-fee-back-to-normal.png) (https://ibb.co/x8ZgWy6)

Ethereum gas price is dropping and it's now $0.82 (24 gwei) which is less than $1 and erc20 transection fee is almost $2.50. Kind of low transection at current time from my side. So is it the end of defi/nft hype? Because see a lot of hikes in the ethereum gas price whenever there was defi boom in the crypto market or hyped up nft minting. In current market, everyone is almost bearish and the question's: is it the end of defi/nft hype or not?

It's good to hear.
I think the reason why Ethereum gas fee is going down, because ETH price is low.
But Hopefully It's because of Ethereum 2.0 launched completely.

It's not related to ethereum price, i guess. However it could be dropped because of the bearish movement of overall market in recent months. On the other hand, defi or nft hype/trend is slowing down as of now.  ;)
Ethereum 2.0 isn't launched completely as merge from POW to POS might happen in August. You can check this post: https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=267960.msg1363857#msg1363857

This Ethereum gas price fell because the activity on the Ethereum platform fell, this happened because many people were making transactions on other platforms.
This is an opportunity for everyone who wants to send Erc20 tokens because Gas costs are cheap, but it definitely won't take long because Eth Gas is always changing.

This Ethereum gas price fell because the activity on the Ethereum platform fell, this happened because many people were making transactions on other platforms.

Actually activity is still same compared to other chains because 1.7 millions transections were done at the beginning of this month and it's now 1.1 millions according to etherscan. Just look into the attached picture where we can see the sideways/uptrend chart of ethereum transections.
(https://i.ibb.co/rkyx6Ms/Ethereum-Daily-Transactions-Chart-Etherscan.png) (https://ibb.co/ZdTB8Km)

If we look into BNB smart chain or BSC, than 9 millions transection were completed back in March and it's now 4 millions transection which is 2x down in the activity. In the following picture, we can see a downtend of completed transections in BSC.
(https://i.ibb.co/fXFvRmQ/BNB-Smart-Chain-Daily-Transactions-Chart-Bsc-Scan.png) (https://ibb.co/kGB1nYM)

So activity or transections on ethereum chain is still good compared to BSC or other chains. However lets wait for the POS migration to see the lowest gas fee on ethereum again.

I find this to be a big good news since I am planning to transfer an ERC-20 toke to another wallet...and that was in hold for so many months because of the incredibly high gas fees back then. I guess this is a big benefit during the bear market but it can also mean that my ERC-20 toke is getting useless, in the first place and that means I am still ending up as a loser.

True, two days ago I sent some tokens and the fee was $0.95, but I don't think that means the end of DeFi/NFT. I think that this drop in fees is due to the current market situation, we already know that there is little movement and that Bitcoin tries to stay close to $30,000, although it sometimes has a hard time doing so. The whales are waiting for people to panic so they can buy cheap, as usual. When Bitcoin drops to the whales target price, those fees will rise exponentially again.

We know about the gas fee always depending on Ethereum price.
But for 0,9$ it's too low. Maybe etherueum 2.0 success to launch.

I don't know when the Ethereum issues will finally be resolved, there are actually several issues, but I still think the one that deserves the most attention is the gas fee, something that the developers have always delayed for the release of Ethereum 2.0, meanwhile many users and projects migrate to other chains. I don't doubt the ability of the developers, but after so long it seems a shame that they don't have any empathy for the users of their products, which means that users with less funds will not be able to move their tokens (again) when the market rises again.

You are definitely talking about a problem that has been solved for a long time and has not been solved, the transaction fee has decreased due to the fact that the entire market is falling and when it grows again there will be a problem like this.

You're right, because crypto currency market is going down, gas fee also down.
That's the fact.
Gas fee depends on traffic and Ethereum price.
And now, market traffic is low.

Gas prices have indeed dropped, and this is an opportunity for Crypto people or traders who like to play on the Ethereum Blockchain. They can freely transfer Ethereum-based tokens at a low cost, but unfortunately now many tokens are experiencing a significant price drop, so the decline in Eth Gas for some people does not have a high impact.

I think when the transaction fee on the ethereum network decreases then it's because of the influence of no good news that can make whales interested in entering and starting to buy some items on the ethereum network, different when it's good and can get a lot of profit when buying NFT then the network fee to make transactions can increase.

The fact that the fees are now much cheaper is due to the current market situation, very few people are buying right now, that is why there are fewer transactions and that is why the fees have dropped so much, but it is not for lack of interest, it is because the majority of users are being patient to see how far they can drop prices to be able to buy cheaper. When the market changes and is bullish again, we will see how the fees will go back up a lot, since there will be many more transactions.

Nah I don’t want to count on that for long because anytime without warning it could surge back up again through future network congestions, etc. But of course, we are lucky to pay this gas fee on Ethereum. But it’s still way much higher than Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, TRON, etc. What we are waiting for is the upcoming consensus layer a.k.a. ETH 2.0 update that would convert Ethereum from PoW to PoS.

Ethereum gas price is falling and now it is $0.82 (24 gwei) lucky it is only a short time ticker and climbs higher again. It is currently at 70 (gwei), it remains to be seen when it will stabilize at its low level.

The cooling of the market and the drop in the price of ETH has allowed users to conduct transactions on the Ethereum network more smoothly and cheaper, but this is really sad for crypto investors. I hope Ethereum will have an effective solution after Merge and we will always have gas 5 gwei.

Market was dumped because of the liquidity scene from both Celsius Network and 3AC (Three Arrow Capital), although 3AC was the main problem for this. No worries, market will pump back, especially ethereum as liquidation situation is gone (most likely). Back to the ethereum gas price, it's already dropped to 17 gwei. So more lower gas price is expected in the upcoming days.

At this point, the crypto market is really gloomy and we no longer see waves of buying crypto on UniSwap or NFT, transaction fees on Ethereum have dropped significantly. I hope this will be an opportunity for Merge to be successfully conducted so that we can experience 5 gwei like 2018-2019. At that time, the community will return to Ethereum.

That's right That the value of Ethereum gas has dropped significantly. But there is also a golden opportunity for the investor. Those who like the Ethereum block chain. in crypto market. When the rapid movement of the Diffty or the boom in the NFT is seen, then the value of Ethereum starts increasing. Recently the market of all the coins is down. NFT will also rise as soon as the market rises

Transactions on Opensea and Uniswap exchanges are still at a high level for gas fees at the moment, Hype DeFi is still there and we are still seeing high transaction fees, I am just waiting for the Beacon chain to be active and used by community members, but the chain is not being used and I think the developer still has some PR to be able to activate the chain, if the Beacon is active it looks like the cost will be low and almost the same as BSC.

Ethereum Gas price also fluctuates, if we want to use the Ethereum network then we have to choose the right time. When Ethereum Blockchain traffic is heavy, Eth Gas will increase, and when Ethereum Blockchain traffic is low Gas Eth will decrease.  So we have to monitor it always to know the price changes.

I think what you say is true, my friend, avoid using the ethereum network when the traffic is very heavy because it can be ascertained that the fees that will be charged will be expensive and it can't be avoided. In fact, now there have been changes, although not yet significant and there needs to be continuous updates because that is the best way because if bitcoin has recovered from the correction, ethereum will increase as well and of course there will be consequences the costs will be expensive again.

Yesterday I noticed that the gas fee on the ethereum network was 7 gwei, and now it is 17 gwei. In general, pretty good. But the price of ethereum has been growing very well in the last week compared to bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, so it should be held. And the tokens have fallen in price and there is no point in selling it. Therefore, the volume of transactions in the network is falling. We look forward to September, when the final merger is planned. They promise that fast transactions and cheap fees will become the norm.

This time again the fee is high but soon the price will comes down and i hope that time the new crypto projects will again select the ETH wallet for their coin becasue this time the fee is high and that is the main reason that the new project will select the BSC and also the TRX wallet.

Right now gas prices might stabilize, but I'm still waiting for september when the Fork actually goes live and changes gas costs just like the BSC on the Beacon network.
for now ethereum is still using the POW system and this can increase gas costs as transactions increase.

As we know, crypto market traffic is going down now, So gas fee will low too.

Just when another dip may come but what happens if it will always be going up? you might be surprised after that. It seems like that 24500 has become the strongest resistance for bitcoin even bitcoin broke it yesterday but the support is not strong enough to keep the price above such rate.
A small correction is occurring right now but im sure that if bitcoin can bounce back again even higher. Let's wait and see what's gonna happen with it.

That's the fact as long as I invested in crypto currency.
Gas fee is always depending on Ethereum price.

By transitioning Ethereum from proof of work to proof of stake, the merge will change the way new ETH is created. At the moment, new ETH is generated via the energy-intensive process of “mining,” in which individuals direct huge amounts of computer power at difficult-to-solve puzzles and are rewarded with blocks of new ETH. But post-merge, new ETH will be generated by “staking.” Stakers pledge large amounts of already-existing ETH to create and earn new ETH.

EthereumFair claims on  that it was the first eth token to become forked from Ethereum. The account, which was created in January 2020, has about 14 thousand followers. Despite a two year head start, that’s less than the  account for Eth, which amassed just over 15 thousand followers since it was created in July.

The upgrade even slightly outdid Ethereum’s energy projections. A report released on the day from the Crypto Carbon Ratings Institute (CCRI), commissioned by Ethereum-centric software firm ConsenSys, claims that Ethereum now uses approximately 99.99% less energy post-merge.

This is inapplicably great news, in terms of the price tag for gas, because this was the main problem of the ethereum, I don’t see any obstacles in its further hype because of the gas price, the NFT may also collapse because of this, it seems to me that many have already become disillusioned with the NFT, all the hype is gone.

Hoping for this Ethereum fee to be forever cheap and there won't be any more expensive spikes.
It's great for us to understand this because the Ethereum transaction fee has reached a very expensive peak price.
Ethereum fees have also crossed the limit of Bitcoin transaction fees and it made history in cryptocurrency as the coin that has the most expensive fees.

I have a few Ethereum tokens and the value of those tokens is not expensive than the transaction Gas fee.
This does look crazy but I believe that cryptocurrency is very difficult to predict between ups and downs. This pure of cryptocurrency space.
This includes the erc20 token that I have, where the value of the token is not expensive than Gas Transactions and if Ethereum Transaction Gas decreases then that's an advantage for me.

ETH gas fee was decreasing, but it seems rising a bit. It is difficult to predict how long ETH gas fee is to stay cheap. But I believe that ETH gas fee won't be as expensive as previously. There will be more development in ETH, I think the gas fee problem will be fixed as soon as possible. So, people will trust again on ETH chain.

As I write this post the ETH gas price I see is 26 gwei. A few days ago the ETH gas price dropped to 7/8 gwei. All crypto markets are now bearish. As a result, the fees of all networks have decreased. However, the ETH network fee was the cause of our headache, which is now almost within tolerance. I expect ETH gas price to stay within 15 gwei.

Transaction fees for Ethereum are currently still relatively high and with Marge Ethereum it will not reduce the costs that must be incurred to send tokens or NFT based on the Ethereum network, so it's better when you want to do NFT transactions you have to prepare more money for transaction fees or use the cheaper BSC platform.

There is not a relation between Eth Gwei and its hype , the gwei is decreased because of conversion of ETH network from proof of work( mining )  to proof stake ( Staking) ,
And on the hype of Defi ?NFTs i says its bear market and users experiencing loses and are Holding , Also globe situation not good at all , Once things coming to change we see the market recovering and acceptance of crypto continues .

This happened due to a decrease in the price of cryptocurrencies on the market, when growth comes to the market, everything will change, the price of gas will grow and be high. This is their main mistake because of which they will lose a very large number of investors.

Ethereum gas fee give possibilty to charge users to do transactions in ethereum network and it helps growing price steady more and more when gas fee increase. From team depends how much cost will be ,early years ago it was lets say normal price below 1$,now it goes big high below 21$ which is good for team that circle coin and have new whales coming but for ordinary users like small investor or bounty hunter it is very big cost. Current cost value is from 1$ to 10$ which is positive improvement to get back like it is use to be,no matter what part of day or night you are using lets say Web3 Metamask or Myetherwallet. If the circle supply does not much depend on gas fee cost than cost of fee will be back to normal,we should expect that in near future.

The rising popularity of decentralized finance (DeFi) has brought fresh attention and optimism to the cryptocurrency sector with the total value locked on all protocols increasing from $1 billion to $59 billion in less than a year and the top 5 platforms accounting for $24.33 billion of the total value.

Rising gas fees have been one of the most noticeable results of the increasing interaction with DeFi protocols and currently, the Ethereum
ETH

tickers down
$1,639

network hosts the majority of the top DeFi projects. Gas fees have been steadily rising since November 2020 and reached a peak on Feb. 23 when the average transaction cost reached 373 Gwei which is approximately $11.72 at the current Ether price.

Down could be expect even less than 24 gwei throught bear market condition considering that supply circle is fast run.Even in bullish market gas fee should cost like it use to be from 4 gwei to 8 gwei minimum.Market dominance is getting stable high again.NFT is in period of get more and more popular in many new project like source of buying and selling after some time when value keep rise so not ever soon will hype get finish.

Currently, NFT transaction costs have fallen very cheaply. This depends on market conditions. When there is a lot of demand and many people carry out transactions using the NFT network, gas costs will increase again. This is natural, when there is an increase in the process, there will be transaction costs that increase too.

The ETH gas rate will continue to change and vary over time. And the changes will also depend on several things, especially the price of ETH and also whether the network is crowded or not. Currently, the ETH Gas fee is only around 26-28 Gwei. So you could say this is still quite affordable even though the fees have increased quite a bit. At least we can be on guard so that we have moved the erc20 tokens so we can prepare for the bullrun later.

Ethereum team counting the transactions per minute or day in Ethereum network have big influence on gas price, so when amount of transactions get big by day then price drops significatly.

I think that when more and more people use the Ethereum network to carry out transactions, the network will become congested and transaction costs will definitely increase. If you want to send at a low cost then you have to change the blockchain network you use first, the current BSC Network It's quite good and a good consideration for making transactions.

Currently, Ethereum gas fees continue to experience changes. but it's not as significant as last season. In the end, we can see that the gas fee for Ethereum is not that high even though the market has started to rise. I think the gwei fee will jump even higher, especially when the network is quite crowded. but apparently not, it's now rated at around 21 gwei and this is quite reasonable in an era like this.

Now for NFTs themselves, we will still encounter them, although whether they are still as significant as before or not, when NFTs were really hype at that time. This is about to start a bullish era, but the NFT hype is still not that visible anymore. So there are various questions about whether NFTs are still worth it or not, we still need to monitor them.

And months after that, still as will change and very volatile as well, similar to Bitcoin during the months when BRC20 was clogging the network. Investors or crypto enthusiast at least question how ETH will survived if the gas price continue to go up as we approach the Bitcoin halving and the bull run.

There are already alternatives though to shift to other network or swap it out. At least you won't be stressed out of the gas fees and it will make your ETH transactions as smooth as possible. However, I don't think Defi/NFT hype will die down, it might slow down but I'm not seeing a death.

This is a fairly normal movement in gas fees because Ethereum's gas fees depend on the level of transaction density on the Ethereum network. As you have said, when the network is busy, gas fees will increase, but when the network is quiet, gas fees will start to increase. decrease.

It's true, when transactions are not too busy then the costs required will indeed go down, but when we want to make a transaction such as purchasing something very important and have to make payment right then and there then we can't wait until the transaction costs go down.
