[Sugestion] Old Posts Remove

I have noticed that a huge amount of Posts from the Bounty Board is available and there are no use of it. So to speed up the Forum, it is suggested to review and remove the old posts, like atleast older then 2020. From 2020 - Till Now, is more then enough for all the users to check previous data.

AFAIK, These posts are linked to points/rank-up system, so deleting them will affect the ranking of old accounts. Deleting them will also reduce the content that is archived on Google, and thus reduce the chances of this forum appearing.

Seems removing old post has bad side with reduce your account level, during post not break the rule I don't think required have to remove with old post indeed more dominance in bounty thread post such as bounty report on weekly.
You need to see potential level or rank reduce after removing or deleting many old your post, its related or not behind your post reach maximum post and not make your rank reduce to lower.
I think with old post give us memorize with altcoinstalk your journey behind some user come to this forum from the most lower level rank.

Those are historical posts whether low and high quality it's part of Altcointalk journey and it does not in any way affects your participation on the forum neither does it slow the server. It's not every stone that the admin is going to lift. This is like telling theymos go delete old bounty threads from the bounty section - not going to work.

Our actively points are attached to the number of posts so let it be.

It's a good thought, but I don't think bounty managers would like that, because it is their own choice if they want to keep the history for future portfolios, as many managers might be using those threads as their portfolio for show case to the client that they have gained that much attraction and they can gain the same for you. It's just a thought but still I don't think it is worth deleting them. If a bounty manager is no more in this forum then we should archive those threads as they are no longer needed but still, there is not need to do such a thing.

It an extra work which is necessary as a lot of time will be needed to delete such posts. I prefer to leave them as they are. And focus on what is currently available as those active bounty threads can easily be seen as they are positioned at the top. I suggest you to add a tracker on the profiles of the active bounty managers if you want to see all of there topics they create. This way you can knew the listing of new bounty threads first. You can do that with the help of PX-Z tg bot.

When the Admin did some reshuffling and organization I lost a karma and activity from a deleted post if am not mistaken
But was later rectified
I think deleting would be too extreme. They can be better moved to archive and who needs such post can head there. We kill two birds, organisation and keeping past history.

Your suggestion reminds me of a discussion where one member requested to delete his account. One question asked to the admin if all of the posts made by that user will also be deleted. The answer is no. The reason is that it will affect many things, as per admin "creating a mess in discussions on the forum".

I don't think that deleting will increase forum performance

Additionally, they might be an useful reference of users behavior and posting habits...

With the latest Google update, SEO metrics will be mostly directed towards useful content, as well as regularly updated content. I'm inclined to think that too-old bounty threads don't contribute to anything anymore, maybe they even bring more damage to the forum ranking.

Given that their deletion could damage some other structure on the forum, such as activity points and user ranking, it is probably the best solution for such threads to remain, but they could be locked and archived.

I wouldn't delete bunch of old posts without good reason and unless they are against some forum rules.
Moving them to archive could be a better idea, but I don't think old Bounty boards are important to anyone here.
You won't find any useful information there, but there could hold some important proof of multiple accounts and cheating in forum.

Firstly, the current activity of many users would be reduced and they could have problems with the rank they have right now, that could cause errors in the forum and it is possible (I'm not entirely sure) that many users will be demoted to lower ranks. It would also be chaos for SEO, since Google would have indexed thousands of posts that do not exist, and that always penalizes websites by showing links at the bottom. Furthermore, it would mean a huge workload, so I personally think it's better not to delete those posts.

Such posts have a really small contribution to the forum, for example, a user who reaches legendary rank, where 99% of posts are bounty reports. It should not be the same as sr. member who wrote quality posts.

For now, those sections appear in the top while 'quality posts" appear in the bottom of the forum's main page..

I suppose what you're saying could be a viable option, but in any case I don't think there are many users who have reached legendary rank simply by posting bounty activity reports, at least right now I don't remember any case. It must be taken into account that users who only post bounty reports have very little activity since they do not add up all the factors to rise to the next rank, so they would need a lot of time to, for example, become legendary.
