Ethereum Forum / Re: Will we really see an Ethereum ETF?
« Last post by babo on Today at 06:04:59 PM »

Same thing happen in bitcoin that the delay took how many years before finally being approved this year and together with the coming halving that the market shows strong and contented market for 2024.

so if ever there will be a delar in Ethereum approving its first ETF i think that this is normal and nothing to be alarmed , and also what would be the effect to all of us if the approval is delayed?
are we really that affected or we are just interested in tackling the topic?

I'm sure the approval will happen when it's convenient for everyone, you can bet your socks
Gary's speeches about the SEC and the various ETF issuing institutions seem absolutely biased
It almost seems like they're playing or agreeing on the timing, don't you think?

I think there is nothing wrong in that, it keeps you updated about the market and how it is doing. Sometimes, you will see sudden pumps and sudden dumps as well, and if you are not watching the market frequently, you might miss such moments and see it later on.
Wouldn't notifications or stop-loss be better in this case? Maybe my personality affects how I view things, but I find looking at charts every hour or so a bit overwhelming. It makes it easier to fall for fomo or the opposite, even though I'm familiar with how the market behaves in a bear or bull market. Instead of making me feel detached from the market, it makes me prone to emotional decisions. Setting up notifications helps me to notice how the market is going without feeling that, and it is easy to set up one or two notifications depending on what services you're using.

Here, I invite you to share personal stories about your gambling journey — whether you've had big wins, faced losses or just dabble occasionally for fun.
Or maybe you have strange gambling habits  :D

I have gambling habit. My experience with gambling although only a few years long has given me a good sense of when I should and shouldn't play. I don't keep track of my losses but whenever I win I make sure to treat myself or my loved ones to something nice, whether it's clothes, gadgets, jewelry, or other memorable items, depending on the amount I win. I really enjoy rewarding myself and family in this way.
That's very nice because it shows how responsible you are and that you have the ability of taking charge of your finance, because not everyone actually makes good use of their winnings.
The reason why most gamblers are always on the losing side isn't because they don't usually win when they gambling, but it's because they lack the ability to walk away with their win or make good use of them. Due to greed and not always being satisfied, and yes, always keeping track of all their previous losses and deciding to chase them with their win and when things goes bazaar, they end up losing everything, including their own money.

I find it very hard to find enough topics that interest me enough to comment on. I might get 12-15 comments in a week and I struggle to get that many, so for me we just don't have enough members creating new topics on different boards.
I think we need to discuss more about altcoin. When I joined here I thought that the discussions and comparisons about altcoin would be deeper, but look at the boards of Ethereum, Solana, XRP , Polygon , Cardano ,...etc. You will find them all about the price and not discussions about the blockchain or the developments that could occur. The situation is completely different on the Bitcoin board.

I agree 100%

We have SEO problems I think. It doesn't appear in search results.

Additionally,  I think there are too many boards and it is difficult to find topics and to find the correct place to post it.

Questions from newbies  like "I lost my ethereum using phantom and metamask  please help" are very good for SEEO, and we don't have those here..

If it's a type of scam, how is it realized?

I don't know exactly, but I believe this is one kind of scam attempt. Usually, these scammers use a note for the receivers so you can read it. They send those fake tokens to victims so they check if those coins have value or not and if they can be swapped for USDT or not. Sometimes those scammers provide links to their website so that the victim can visit their website and try to swap the coins.
If someone newbie who receive such amount on their wallet, they will be probably shocked, excited and be tempted to send the tokens to what exchange its available, then boom, fund wiped.
Well, some newbie have common sense and wary so they are saved on such tricks, DYOR will always save the day.

Gambling definitely leads to a change in style and habits, as you need to have certain character and lifestyle traits to participate in gambling. A player must be calm, for example - and this can only be achieved through autotraining - which means that you need to systematically exercise yourself
What you've said is entirely true but you've also forgotten the negative influences of gambling and only focused on the positive influences.
Have you ever noticed that most gamblers are often very secretive and confidential, especially towards their spouse and people closest to them.
Even when they weren't initially that way, but due to fear of being criticized and the stigma that comes with gambling, they become quite secretive in order to be able to cover their tracks. That my friend is a negative influence.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: All you need to know after Bitcoin halving
« Last post by Aanuoluwatofunmi on Today at 05:56:20 PM »
After the halving have been successfully achieved, we should bear in mind that we are expected to keep to what we are holding because we are not sure yet on when the market will pump more further to a new all time high, now it may seems to look as if there is nothing much to expect as we have been seeing a bear market recently, but anything can just change all of a sudden if we never give up on waiting for such opportunity to come.

Yes. I know about this and this is the first reason I didn't like tokens like ETH because it does not have a limit. The devs of ETH can now generate unlimited ETH and cash them out whenever they want. Even though I do not understand the mechanism, I believe it's possible for them. Not only ETh but tokens like Solana, BNB even Polkadot do not have any maximum supply limit. Which is too risky for the investors. But those tokens are on hype because of their ecosystem which keeps maintaining the demand on the market and the dev team can unlock new supply every few days if they want.

Very good work PX-Z

Why don't you create a page for each user, show specific boards post percentage, most mentioned addressed and stuff like that?
You could easily do that with the data you collected.
