Thoughts on RWA Projects?
« on: September 04, 2024, 05:42:39 PM »

Hi forum members,

Since the crypto market decline, I've been doing my own research on new innovations in the crypto space. I've come across a few, including some popular ones like BRC20, the Tron ecosystem rejuvenation, and RWAs. Out of all these, Real-World Assets (RWAs) caught my attention due to their DeFi affiliations and the tokenization of tangible assets.

It's a broad narrative with a lot of potential. As I continued my research into projects within the RWA genre, I discovered Clearpool, which is the first decentralized credit marketplace. Their permissionless crypto lending and borrowing services particularly stood out to me.

Given the potential for RWAs to unlock the benefits of DeFi for users, my question is: How sustainable is this narrative in the long run?

What benefits are you referring to? RWA is not really new, and as far as I'm aware trendy things like this have their cycle just like how ICO/IEO was a thing in the past. After years of following the market, I'd sell my tokens if the narrative has changed. Long-term benefits are almost non-existent for projects like those. If you want to invest for the long term I'd stick with BTC, and maybe some main chain alts like ETH or BNB. While most of their so-called benefit make sense, it's so rare that an industry managed to achieve its promises in this space because the market is simply too niche right now. For example, decentralized storage sounds interesting but most of them failed to perform so they keep trying to acquire new funds with rebranding, introducing new pricing tiers, etc. CMIIW.

Yeah, I would too get my tokens swapped for USDT and get some big guys of the market to accumulate them further, moving into the eventual Bullrun.
Of course, less profits from the investment would be made, but it's more stable and better, in my opinion.
Research always should be done, especially for the projects that follow a trend in the space it is in.

Hmm okay. Thanks for your input

If you would choose any RWA project to invest in, which one would you choose?

Are you asking OP or me? It seems like OP decided not to pursue them any further based on his reply to my post, and if you ask me I'd also look for other options instead of chasing this trend unless you can find an early project with solid backing to invest early on. It's almost impossible to do nowadays because influencers or traders usually build a bot to monitor transactions like that. Besides, I don't think recommendations from random strangers would be a good source to look for investment opportunities.
