What would you say are the 5 cryptocurrencies to buy in 2024?

Instead of targeting the complete year, I will suggest you to go for current trends. Like there were meme coins like pepe which were trending recently. These coins gave return up to 4x in just week. If you bought at right time and also exited at right time, you would have made very good profits. On the other hand, if you decided to hold these for one year, these might would not have been profitable by same amount.

3
Not a financial advice but more an observation of a situation on the market: dont invest but only buy for short period meme coins, as you never knows what will happen to them during long period. The are jokes, and jokes get old, out of date. Instead search altcoins/projects that other investment funds invest, and do the same. But if you really want to get together with meme coins - buy most popular. They at least wont disapper suddenly. Dont focus on everything that social media offer you, as those meme coins will never get high price. Their purpose is to get your money while they cost low (1 sat for example) and disappear.

If we see the past seven day graph, it appears to me as well that the best time to invest was in past only. There is a lot of risk now as prices have increased a lot all of sudden. Most investors will be looking to book profits now.

Personally I had always remained away from meme coins because I think they are a joke. But recent performance of some of the meme coins got me thinking. Why is there such a big uptrend in these meme coin prices ? Is any of these coins a good investment opportunity. If yes, why do you feel so ?

5
We have seen that meme coins like floki, pepe and shiba has increased in prices at very rapid rate in last few days. When someone sees returns like 100-400% returns in just short time, he will feel like investing in these coins. But my advice is not to make a buying decision like this ever. One should invest in a coin only if you believe in the project. Otherwise, you may get scammed by investing in it like a major correction can happen after you invest at peak.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Airdrop worthless?
« on: February 26, 2024, 10:58:10 AM »
We have seen since 2017 airdrop has become absolutely worthless. But i see from this forum that there are many topics about airdrop and giveaway. What strong beginnings are these, in fact? Because now any project is unwilling to distribute tokens for free.

It is not that all projects are unwilling to distribute free tokens for promotion. However, there is a major shift in how they are paying users. They are looking for users with history and activity in their network. There are some very good coins which had such distribution in recent past. Very less people will be eligible for the airdrop but this gives us a hope and motivation to remain active in good coins. And expect that they have an airdrop in future.

Marketplace & Bitcoin Services / Re: Signature for rent
« on: February 26, 2024, 10:53:50 AM »
If you really want your signature to be rented then you'll have to continue posting good stuff and reach at least Sr member level.

If you continue to make good posts and you're regular then you might get a chance to get accepted in a campaign, and you should apply in all campaigns that allow applications from full members.

That's the only way to get accepted in a campaign, otherwise making threads like this won't help you a lot in getting accepted in a campaign. Just make good posts and help others with your posts.

Thanks for the tip. I am here for long term, so I will follow your advice for sure. Good luck to you as well for signature campaigns.

XRP - Ripple Forum / Re: Is XRP going to go up again?
« on: February 01, 2024, 02:30:35 PM »
With this in mind, a positive lawsuit outcome for Ripple could help bolster the XRP price. Therefore, our XRP price prediction forecasts a price of $1.80 by the end of 2024. Depending on the lawsuit's outcome and crypto market conditions, it could go much higher, potentially reaching $3.10.
The lawsuit is over already. Ripple won the case, so it won't be a problem anymore. I guess the lawsuit may be just a little drama of SEC.
The current price is $0.5, it is growing gradually. I think it is very possible that the price can reach $1.80 at the end of 2024. It won't depend on the lawsuit anymore. Now, it will depend on the marketing strategy of the team and how they can develop Ripple. Good news from the project will boost the price to $1.80. For the maximum price around $3, I'm not really sure but it seems possible, friend.

The movement so far even after it has won the case is not very encouraging. I doubt that it will reach $1.8 by the end of 2024. In fact, after the Bitcoin ETF news the price of most of the coins either became  stagnant or is declining. Everyone was expecting a huge bull run to start with confirmation of Bitcoin ETF. But nothing of that sort has happened so far.

You're flipping out man, I say this with all due respect. The custom deals are usually obtained by people with a great reputation and high rank. You are a teleported member and in your bitcointalk account you are a full member, having enough activity for Legendary you are still a Full member for lack of merits. Plus you have a neutral tag from the person with the most DT inclusions on that forum saying the following:

This user plagiarized my post, while trying to rent out his avatar. I wouldn't hire him.

You can check the post I made for which he gave tag and decide if it was a correct decision . That is same thing which any new project here should do before renting my signature.

I was reading a post which mentioned that Bitcoin network will get more congested during halving time. This means that Bitcoin transaction fees will again increase by good amount at that time. This can balance the positive impact of halving on Bitcoin prices and can keep the Bitcoin prices in check. So will Bitcoin prices remain unchanged even after halving because of this?
The idea that congested crowding in Bitcoin transactions is only for Bitcoin halving is not correct as it can happen at any time under any circumstances. Congested crowding can occur when a large whale or holder starts selling bitcoins in the market. You Op might just blame the halving as the reason for falling into such a situation, it wouldn't be right but the probability of getting Bitcoin transaction volume during halving might increase.
Yes or can happen anytime but the question was related to will the probability of congestion increase because of an event like halving. If it does, what will be the further effect on Bitcoin price.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: How would you feel if bitcoin returned to $5k?
« on: January 30, 2024, 06:20:49 PM »
My felling is
Buy
Buy
Buy
Buy
Buy
Hold hold hold
How about yours????

It is easy to just imagine a  good entry point and expect own self to invest as much as possible at low prices if available in future. But in reality when the prices go down so much all of sudden, even the big investors will get scared to invest in Bitcoin. There will be fear in mind that what if Bitcoin collapses completely. I know this is not going to happen but if prices go from 40000 to 5000 in short time, that fear of complete collapse will come in every mind. At that point, you will not be in position to think about increasing your Bitcoin holding. You may even be ready to get rid of all Bitcoin and crypto you have even in big loss.

Personally I feel that Bitcoin will not go below to $30000 price level ever. Now Bitcoin ETFs are approved and there will be some stability in the price of Bitcoin.
