Elon Musk wants another toy called Twitter

I guess you have already read the news (or seen it on TV) that Elon Musk wants to buy Twitter. To do this, he has made an offer of $43 billion and has assured that if the majority shareholders do not allow him to buy the company, he could sell all the shares he owns. Some major investors have already publicly responded to Musk saying that amount is not a lot of money.

Personally believe that what Musk is doing is behaving like a little child claiming that he is doing it for freedom of expression. I also think many Doge investors should be aware of this behavior, as Musk could apply it as well.

I don't see anything wrong with Elon Musk offering money to buy Twitter...since it is just like any other business that one can get into. And I am more inclined to believe that Twitter has been doing a bad thing with its censorship which is the real enemy of democracy...though I am not against fact-checking. I don't agree he is behaving badly...though I understand that many can be afraid if Elon Musk can one day be owning Twitter and it is all because they have their own agenda being pushed all around Twitter. High-tech censorship is one thing that we in the new era should not be experiencing and it all because we are all intelligent enough to know what is right and wrong. So I am supporting Elon Musk on his bid to gain control of Twitter and who knows he might even be releasing TwitterCoin one day.

I respect your point of view @TomPluz, but I have never liked that a single person completely controls a media, that has always been the enemy of impartiality. In the big media it is a danger that a single person makes the decisions, I would not like to imagine what could happen, for example, in the next elections in the United States if someone in favor of one party silenced the voices of other parties. I am in favor of free speech, but even that has to have a limit.

If the full control of social media platforms will be on the single hand that would not be good in my opinion. I believe Jack Dorsey will not sell the Twitter platform as Twitter is quite popular among all generations of people. After the offer of buying Doge was a little pump but investors should be careful and should not be trapped again I also think the majority of the shareholders will not allow him to buy the company.

Elon Musk knew that the major shareholders were not going to accept his offer, which is why he threatened to sell all of his Twitter shares. If ultimately the largest shareholders do not accept and Musk does not extend his offer, it is possible that he will sell, which would cause the share price to fall. Nobody knows what is going to happen, what I do think sometimes is why Elon Musk does not use that money to create his own social network, that way he could play by the rules he wanted.

I'm a little surprised that he still has time to deal with Twitter. Perhaps this is his next temporary hobby. At the same time, making an offer to buy is not the same as buying Twitter. Well, its a capitalist economy right there in the US, so its money that speaks. I can't knock Elon Musk for buying anything with his money. After all, it is still his money. If he wants to buy a company and turn it around, then I can't castigate him

Elon Musk said a few days ago in an interview that he did not want to buy twitter to do business, he said he wants to buy twitter to save free speech. Many crazy things have been done in the name of free speech, you only have to look at the recent history of humanity to verify it. There is no way for Elon Musk to buy Twitter, Twitter CEO surely doesn't want to sell it to anyone. It is the same as when you want to buy Facebook, do you think it is possible? I don't deny the possibility, but I have a big doubt that a big person like Zuckerberg or Twitter CEO has the intention to sell it. They are not bankrupt and the popularity of that social media looks fine. So, Elon Musk just wants to take peoples' attention by saying that statement.

It is true that Elon Musk is the richest man in the world and has a lot of influence, but that does not mean that he can do what he wants. Even the rich have to abide by certain rules, and threatening the rest of Twitter's investors by saying he's doing it for free speech will get him nowhere. If Musk really did it for free speech with that amount of money he could create his own social network. I don't think Musk wants to buy Twitter to make money, and I don't think it's to save free speech either, I personally think he's looking for media attention.
