General Discussion / Re: Afraid of investments?
« on: Today at 04:06:40 AM »
Everybody wants to gain profits by investing. That's why they are so anxious in investing in case they lose money. As far as ICO's are concerned most of the ICO's are scam, so why would one invest in these projects.
One doesn't need to be afraid of investing, except of course the person isn't sure or doesn't have adequate knowledge of what he intend to invest in, or he is simply investing more than he can actually afford to lose which is of course not a responsible way to approach any form of investment, even when you're vwey ceerain of the authenticity of the investment, it's alwaya crucial to approach investments with extreme caution.

General Discussion / Re: What do I do with no money?
« on: Today at 04:00:59 AM »
Normally I do read lot of things here and when there's no money I hardly feels it because I am always occupied here. One can only be broke if she or he has nothing doing but when you are occupied you can't really tell whether you are broke or not before you knew it weeks already runs out for you to get compensated over here.
Yeah the more occupied you are, the less you spend, especially on irrelevance. Exactly the reason why some people prefer to always get stuck on their computer all day at home or work, because they know leaving the house could incur more expenses for them, so they'd prefer to stay in their house to avoid much expenses.

General Discussion / Re: What do you do in your free time?

.
Physical activity is very important for those who sit long hours in a computer because you can have a lot of illness for lack of physical activities.
That's right, sitting on the computer for house can actually make you feel sore in your muscles or some part of your body and doing some physical activities afterwards could really help one rejuvenate before going back to the computer.
Again, mental activities could also come in handy, cos staying on the computer means you're using your brains to do whatever you're doing there so when you've gotten off, it's also important to indulge in activities that can also help you relax your brains and help relieve the strains.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Just HODL
« on: May 11, 2024, 08:12:02 PM »

Unfortunately, currently there are still many new traders who often feel panicked when they see the price of the coin they are buying going down. They often panic because they are using money that will be used in the near future, so their financial condition will be disrupted when all their assets are trapped in the market at high prices. Therefore, the importance of managing finances for trading is one of the most important keys.
We really have to use free money to invest in crypto, whether trading or holding. because we know, crypto is unpredictable and very volatile. If prices suddenly drop, we don't need to panic about that money because we don't need it in the near future
By that I believe you mean the DCA strategy.  Because by taking out and investing a portion of your earning, either weekly, monthly or whatever interval that suits you. It's just like putting some of leftover money in a piggy bank and just forgetting about it for several years, that can actually reduce the tension one ordinarily feels when the market suddenly start to dip.
Since it's just a fraction of your income,  you would feel less emotional outburst when there's a temporary market fluctuation, because you're more focused on the long-term outcome.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Are Bitcoins a good investment?
« on: May 11, 2024, 06:09:39 PM »
You can easily trade bitcoin for cash or assets like gold instantly with incredibly low fees. The high liquidity associated with bitcoin makes it a great investment vessel if you're looking for short-term profit. Digital currencies may also be a long-term investment due to their high market demand.

I wish op can edit his title and write it properly. Bitcoin is a nise investment and the best when it comes to cryptocurrency.
I also wish you can edit your post and write the word I bolded correctly  :D.
But for what it's worth, you are right, Bitcoin has indeed proven to be the safest and most profitable crypto asset to invest in, and we must also remember that bitcoin is mostly known and acknowledged for its long-term potentials, meaning that you can only get the most out of Bitcoin when you consider it to be more of a long-term investment rather than chasing it's short-term rewards.

Many who have HODLed for several years can confirm just how beneficial it is to invest in Bitcoin and HODL for the long-term, because it doesn't only give you more profits than the short-term, it also helps you as an investor to get over some emotional outburst that comes with short-term trends.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Why bitcoin
« on: May 11, 2024, 05:52:31 PM »
However, nowadays, most people are interested in Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies because they have volatiles values and they go up and down which creates opportunities for them to gain profit when they buy them low and sell them high, but the properties and benefits of Bitcoin are unmatchable despite all other things.
I would like prefer investing in cryptocurrency with bitcoin behind easy recovery back to higher price than altcoin, many people frustrated when investing in bitcoin the first time raise the new higher price above $65k but last month bitcoin success back and make the new higher price up to $73k.
For altcoin very difficult how reach up and recovery from the last new higher price and waiting more longer than bitcoin, its easily how to imagine when investing in bitcoin buy on lower price then selling at higher price.
You're absolutely right and I couldn't agree with you more.
Bitcoin has more potential for profitability than any other token, and it's also in fact the safest crypto asset to hold onto, compared to every other cryptocurrency.
Even if Bitcoin hits a DIP or a bear market, Bitcoin investors are considered to be safe as long as they just continue to HODL, because bitcoin has been around for much longer than every other token and it has always recovered from even more dipper DIPs (allow me to use that phrase) and attained new ATHs in previous cycles and this one wouldn't be any different from those other ones.

If an investor is new and if he is new to investing in Bitcoin, he checks his wallet several times a day, but a professional investor who has been investing in Bitcoin for a long time does not feel the need to check his wallet that much. For those who invest for the long term, the less time they can monitor the market or monitor their own investments, the better because the more times an investor looks at their wallet during the day, the more likely they are to sell their investments. But instead of thinking as I do, many people may think their own way and check their wallets as they wish.
You're absolutely right.
I believe one the reason for considering Bitcoin investment for its long-term potential is to get ride of emotional outburst due to temporary market fluctuations. So those who really do consider Bitcoin's long-term trajectory would care less about checking Bitcoin's short-term performance, and even if they decide to check, it wouldn't because of their investment but for other reasons.
Whoever checks his investment more often is either a short-term trader/investor, or someone who's relatively new to the market and hasn't gained any experience yet.

8
-snip-
we can rest assured that Bitcoin will always bounce back and correct its trend overtime, as long as we continue to HODL through that temporary fluctuations.
While this may not be the case for other tokens, there are tokens that have become worthless due to its inability to recover from a DIP.
I am also confident about how Bitcoin will revive after the bearish trend is over,
it is only a matter of time and then reaching a bull market will make new history on Bitcoin.
All altcoins will be affected and there are indeed coins that cannot recover from their DIP price and some also recover and follow the price of bitcoin.
Most certainly, Bitcoin has always shown tremendous recovery, judging from its previous cycles.
Although, while it's true that past performances can never guarantee future outcomes when it comes to cryptocurrency, we are also very certain because lots of facts proves that this bearish trend is only but a recuperation period for bitcoin, to prepare for the upcoming bull run, so that people can also get the opportunity to start buying low right now.

Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling for All?
« on: May 11, 2024, 05:33:16 AM »
If you are experienced or not doesn't matter. In gambling you have to depend on luck. If you are lucky then you can win a big jackpot. If you are experienced all you can do is to be a bit more cautious. So I believe everyone can do gambling but it would be better if they take it as a fun. It is true that you can win occasional jackpot but it is not to be taken as a source of income.
Inasmuch as luck and chance plays a very vital role in gambling, it doesn't mean that's all you need to be a gambler, yeah it's true that at some point in the beginning of every gambler's gambling life, they depended mostly on luck but gradually gained knowledge and experience as they advance. But it wouldn't be completely true to say that luck is all a gambler needs to succeed in gambling.

Besides there are games that need less luck and more knowledge and experience, such as card games like poker or blackjack, your success depends on how knowledgeable you are in that game and what level of skill and experience you've managed to gather in the long run.

You are absolutely right when you talk about how to do it because you have experience in those games, I am more into playing black jack, but not counting cards, because I think that in back jack games you have to play with the full maso of the 54 cards and not two or three more, because it cannot be counted there, then poker is much more strategic and can always be defined in one of the things that people like the most, poker raises many emotions, they come together in context In order to generate the adrenaline necessary for other players to bet more and more, that's where the experience comes in.
Counting cards is sure a lot more challenging when the full deck of 54 cards is being used, and a situation like that requires a totally different strategy.
You're also correct about pokers games, I think poker is a lot more intense and highly strategic, and it's ability to evoke strong emotions is what makes it really thrilling and exciting too.
It requires strategy, experience and skill to be able to navigate your way around the game, especially the psychology aspect of it, such as situations that requires you to read your counterparts' body language and gambling strategy in other to be able to counter them effectively.
Poker requires you to have a deep understanding of the human behaviour, and this is exactly what makes the game super complex to play, compared to other card games.

The sole responsibility of  schools and other learning institutions is to shape the young minds and equip them with essential skills they'll mostly be needing in life, and that includes responsible decision making as well as how to prevent getting addicted.
So yes, in a country where gambling is legalized and without any age restrictions, gambling education is necessary and should be included in the school curriculum because gambling has lots of dangers and if not informed, children can easily fall into these dangers without even knowing it, so it's important to prepare their minds in time to avoid situations like that.

Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Casinos
« on: May 11, 2024, 05:14:32 AM »
I don't trust anything that comes from Telegram, it's full of scams, fraud and many other ponzi schemes you can think of, even trading scams can found there. Sometimes, this scams group are target to people in some certain groups, if you don't do some settings and changes some privacy from the app, they will add you to these and if you are new to th group, you will definitely becomes a victim of them. So, I advice to avoid telegram and just use the normal casinos.
All you need to do is verify and avoid PMs you never started unless you requested them to message you first. Only engage telegram casino from official source, its either from their website or from their official social media handles, the rest are considered fake. You don't need to assume that everything came from telegram are scam because some are legitimates and provides lots of information on specific niche.
I think the problem is that people are just too ignorant and greedy, and that's why they mostly fall into these telegram scammers' net. If people were to stay more informed and updated on their areas of interest, be it crypto or gambling, or what have you, then the possibility of being scammed wouldn't be this much.
Telegram is a very safe place to carry out your activities, I'm not saying there are no scammers or fraudsters there, sure they are but if you know what you're going there for and if you stay focussed, you'll be able to dictate any scam attempts on you and possibly avoid the.

What about you? Do you suffer because of gambling, or is it not worth the time to keep P&L since it's not significant?
Only irresponsible gamblers suffer from gambling, gamblers who are not principled and gamble above their budgets in amounts that they cannot afford to lose.

Responsible gamblers will always find a way to make sure that gambling does not encroach on or affect the other activities of their lives.
I think one part of gambling that people always miss, is the part about making sure that one's emotions are in check, because if a person's emotions are not in check while gambling, that's when it can lead people to making impulsive decisions due to emotional imbalance. Sometimes it's easier to say they'll not gambler irresponsibly but when they're faced with the situation that requires them to use their  brains and not their emotions, they always default, sometimes without even knowing it.
That's one crazy thing about gambling problems.

Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling In Crypto
« on: May 11, 2024, 04:52:25 AM »
Recently I have started to gamble with crypto, and other coins. Looking to speak with anyone who has had similar experiences. I find it much more effective than gambling with fiat. Let’s use this thread to discuss pros/cons and how us users can improve it!

Thanks!

I'm also new to gambling with crypto and find it pretty interesting. The transactions are fast and it feels more private than using traditional money. Would love to swap more tips and experiences with you on this!
Every methods has its prons and cons, even in crypto gambling. Let's take for instance, online betting platforms that accepts bitcoin as a medium of payment, yes we're veey mucb aware how fast, reliable and safe bitcoin transactions can be, but how about times that the market becomes too congested and the transaction fees becomes really high like we've seen in previous times, would you still feel like its the best option or would you run back to the old traditional method of payment?

Gambling discussion / Re: Is it right for a lady to gamble ?
« on: May 10, 2024, 05:31:52 AM »
There should be equality in gambling - both women and men should have equal access to losing their savings. Moreover, everyone has a chance for luck, regardless of gender. Therefore, no one should be forbidden to do anything
Very true, I think it's very wrong to bring in gender inequality in gambling, because gambling requires using the mind to develop effective strategies that works for you and as far as I'm concerned women can also do that too.
Besides, women are believed to utilize their brains more than men, so when it comes to being in control of one's emotions during gambling and keeping a levelled head which are both important aspects of being a responsible gambler, women can also stamd out and do a more bettee job than men.

Gambling discussion / Re: should gambling be completely banned?
« on: May 10, 2024, 05:27:02 AM »
The problem has never really been the casinos but people's and individual approach towards gambling.
Because the same gambling that's causing a lot of people crazy ass losses and frustration is also the same activity other people indulge themselves to have fun and relieve some mental stress.
So rather than expecting the government to issue a permaban on casinos, people should be more concerned with developing themselves and taking charge of their lives because that way gambling will have less negative effects on people who indulge in it.
Anyone that is so self-centered or that was addicted to gambling and gambling took a lot of money from will be talking in a way that gambling should be banned. Also some people that their parents and mosque have been teaching the lesson that gambling is not good can be saying something like that. But who wants gambling to be banned are like someone saying knife 🔪 should be banned because it can be used to kill. But everyone home has knife.
And it all comes down to individual perspectives and reactions towards gambling.
That's a very good illustration and a perfect example to explain the situation about wanting to place a permanent ban on gambling. There are people who are actually gambling responsibly and haven't actually felt the negative impacts and the bad sides of gambling because their emotions are in check and they're only gambling for the fun. So gambling can't be completely banned because some people can't control themselves.

Instead there should be regulations set In place to normalize the rate of gambling and make sure the negative effects of gambling is reduced to an extent.
