Weirder things have happened, so I am not counting it off altogether. That said, I do not believe Ethereum could replace Bitcoin anytime soon. It's just not realistic.

Until now, there is no coins that have popularity such as bitcoin.
Bitcoin is still the biggest of  market cap.
Bitcoin will exist for several years again, I don't think about Ethereum will be the next bitcoin, because still have high transaction fee.

I agree with you. The Crypto world is unpredictable and anything can happen. But we have to admit that there is no coin bigger than BTC in terms of price, pumping, and BTC control the overall market.
