Hi everyone!

Here, I invite you to share personal stories about your gambling journey — whether you've had big wins, faced losses or just dabble occasionally for fun.
Or maybe you have strange gambling habits  :D

Whether you're a seasoned gambler or a casual player, your experiences are interesting.

I don't think this space is enough to share my experience. Gambling made me almost drop out from school because I used my school fees to gamble and was denied writing exam. Luckily, those of us who missed out the exam was given another exam to write. This was my worst experience.

Other times, I have failed to cash out due to greed and then I will end up losing everything and wishing I had cashed out. Sometimes I win but it is not commensurate with my loss.
That's a terrible experience you have, We all know that tuition fees really is high depending on courses so how did you regain that money you have lost? Did you borrow?  Gambling especially to students really makes it turn very badly for the gambler unless he or she got lucky enough to score a decent win.

When I calculate my gambling wins and losses I can see that I have not lost I am in profit. But I don't know if I will be able to stop gambling with profits in the future but I hope I can stop gambling with profits in the future.
Finally, we have one member that's still in green!
How long have you been gambling mate and what kind of games do you play?

Here's the updated tally 1 profit, 5 losses, 1 break even. Don't forget to vote guys!

I take the fixed deposit for a month and spend it on betting and gambling. I can't say for the whole time, but it seems I am around neutral PnL!
Well that is great and good for you mate as I personally has majority of my bets goes bad though it was just a small amount of money but still counted as loss which is the majority of all the results hopefully I will be lucky soon ro get back all the losses I have. 😅

Already 18 years according to some jurisdictions is the legal age to gamble. At that age, an individual is seen as an adult who can make decisions on his own and face the consequences.

I agree with you because at 18 years an individual has gained self awareness which makes him mentally and emotionally conscious of what happens in his life. The importance of this age accounts for the reason most countries only allow an individual who is 18 years and above to gain entrance into the university.

On a second thought, any action done by a person of 18years cannot be blamed on a third party because such an individual can decipher what is best for him.
Yeah aside from the legal age where maturity might be an important role they also know things like making decisions especially what is right and wrong. But still here in my country age is just a number because minors can still gamble discreetly either online or offline.

Gambling discussion / Re: No risk no gain

Basically, any income is associated with a certain risk. Only the degree of risk varies. If we take gambling, the biggest risk is slot machines, as the only thing that depends on the person is the time of pressing the button - nothing else. And we give ourselves here to the will of Random - well, and also the creators of slot machines
Yeah the only winner here is gambling machine and playform owner to be honest I mean business is business. 😁 As we take risks, small percentage of that would be our winnings if there is. If we don't take the risk then we should not expect something in return.

At the beginning of the listing on Binance, the price rose quite high, namely $0.034, if I'm not mistaken. I also had the chance to buy even though it wasn't much, but unfortunately the price then dropped and I made a small loss.
There are many of my friends who join Airdrop mining and get profits, some get $70, some get $100, some even get more. But many are also disappointed because they have already sent Notes to Bybit, even though the price at Bybit is quite low when compared to Binance.
You are too FOMO, even though when the initial listing, especially on Binance, the price will be very high, then it will dump when many people start selling it.
If you buy at a price of $ 0.03xx it is a very high price, now it even costs around $ 0.006.
Don't be too FOMO with momentum like this, especially many who have Notcoin from Airdrop which automatically the price will be very dump.

I don't have Notcoin, but many of my friends have from Airdrop but the estimate is not more than $100, there are also those who sell to collectors at low prices and regret when Notcoin is listed on Binance.
Yeah same here, I don't have it as well as I don't know where to find such airdops. Good for those who take part in the airdrop as they are now earning good amount of money in return for doing simple tasks. I do airdrops as well but I miss this one so better luck next time.

6
I would not be surprised if these days, airdrops value became less and less for new users.

Because now there is demand from everyone wanting to get rich => everyone sells their bags => price tanks => FOMO people sell their coins => price tanks and so on and so forth.

I guess back then there were more holders. That's the only way I can speculate there not being an immediate flash crash on exchanges.
Yeah this is very common especially on newly listed tokens we should be expecting massive dump here and there. Maybe because airdroppers really are dumpers given the fact that they were paid to make some tasks and they don't care holding their tokens for long as they are afraid some whales that has more tokens might dump as well. But tokens with good narratives recovers pretty quickly and that's where regret will start. 😅

If you are willing to take the risk by participating in a retrodrop or other airdrop that requires capital, you will get a higher profit than a free airdrop. Many free airdrops are not successful, but if you have free time, go ahead.
I never join retrodrop, I am a bit afraid to join airdrop that requires some funds. In my opinion, airdrop should be for free, it doesn't need any amount of money. If we have many failed free airdrops, I also think it may also fail for the retrodrop. It is no big deal if we fail in free airdrops but it will be very bad if we fail in retrodrop. I don't want to lose money easily in retrodrop, that makes me not really brave to join retrodrop.  :-\
Yeah same here, I have never tried joining a paid one as well and this is actually my first time hearing retrodrop so yeah I'll check this one as maybe it's worth it a try if ever I have extra money if not then free airdops are sometimes profitable but yeah majority of those I joined into are just a waste of time. 😅

Unfortunately, I missed this opportunity to earn but lucky for those who got some especially those who are consistent and patient enough to earn a lot of referrals through their efforts as we all know most airdrops do that referral thing aside from promoting anything on social medias.

So as an individual how do you plan to have a secured job considering that every job is at risk?
These artificial intelligence and machines that are taking jobs for humans will require people to maintain them and run updates, as they cannot do that for themselves. This means that some humans will still be indispensable, considering their skill set and specialty. My advice is that, as an individual currently working in the sector where you know that your job is threatened by replacements by AI, I advise that you start taking courses to improve your skill sets and turn yourself into someone that your company cannot do without.
Yeah right. Since AI is computer related thing I think that is also the best way to make an approach like acquiring skill related to it as we all know that technology is evolving and that is inevitable so for me electronics and computer related courses could still be good but with electronics this is where AI is mostly used especially in auto industry, mobile phones and other electronic related sector. There are actually vocational courses that offers practical and actual trainings depending on our preference like welding, plumbing, caregiving, cookery and many others.

What do you think is the main factor that affects a country's economy positively today?
A country that invests massively in human capital development will definitely see the reward in their economy, as productivity will generally be on the rise. With developed infrastructure and people whose mental development does not match those infrastructures, the economy will not progress because productivity will not be at its maximum.

Human capital development is the most important to me.
Agree. This is what makes my country's economy keep going because of it. We all know that human capital can be domestic and abroad so yeah really has huge impact. But here in my country mostly skilled and professionals prefer to work abroad to maximize and took advantage of other country's technology, salary rate and the level of experience.

Economics , Sociology & Politics / Re: Set your budget.
« on: May 18, 2024, 11:36:58 PM »
What do you think about setting your budgets?
You may set a budget and never stick to it because you lack the discipline to do so. Aside from setting a budget, there is a need to be disciplined about sticking to it because budgets do not work unless you make them do.

After setting your budget, make sure to avoid people who make you forget your financial goals and spend above your means. Avoid people who are more interested in spending than in earning.
Exactly! Very accurate answer for me. Discipline really plays an important role in every aspect as it will reduce our bad habits and greediness. As we can see rich people have that compared to those who have only enough just to survive. Mindset and discipline plus your budget will be a perfect weapon to defeat financial hardships.

Yes, and what is very important - you must keep a record of your income and expenses, believe me this simple and accessible mechanism (even on paper, or in Excel or GoogleTab), will allow you to see the real situation of your income and expenses, and to understand where you have "weaknesses", which should be paid attention to
There is another essential tip for growing rich and advancing in life, and it is controlling your habits. Every individual has a particular habit—something that they like so much and can lavish money on unapologetically. It could be love for clothes, jewelry, tech devices, drinking, womanizing, smoking, gambling, etc. If a person is unable to control their habits, it will put a very big hole in their pocket financially, and they will not be able to keep money regardless of whatever they earn.
For me jewelry is good as it can be an asset especially if it was made out of precious metals and precious stones. But what you have said is really I think the most common reason why people messed up in life it's because of bad habits and lifestyle. They tend to prioritize wants rather than their needs so that will surely drag them down in the long run. I personally learned that lesson the hard way to be honest.

When the market price correction occurs, I prefer to buy more bitcoin, but for this correction I prefer to wait until the price falls further, because the bitcoin price movement pattern after the increase some time ago has collapsed again and there is it is possible that the decline in bitcoin prices will be deeper.

The best time to buy Bitcoin was when it was reduced to 57k$ but now it is again higher like that of 66k$ therefore try to wait for the best time to buy more Bitcoin if you have already bought some at a lower price.

Price prediction is very hard to make but people are working and collecting their coins when they see the market to be lower in cost and that time suited well for accumulation. Now investors should keep calm if the price goes higher then they will be in profit and if the price goes down then they will have the chance to purchase some more.
Yes, currently the price of bitcoin is rising again and we see the price of bitcoin has returned to $66K, it's best to do a short term, if you have time to trade. if you wait for the price of bitcoin to fall to $57K, it looks like it will need some more corrections. but anything can happen in the crypto space. let's see.
Weekly chart of Bitcoin performs very well this week as it is bullish but yeah anything can really happen along it's path to the next coming weeks and months so that will be exciting to dig into. As you said short term is more profitable this time though some other investors still has their DCA method for a much safer and less stress investment.
I also agree with you, currently the short term is more profitable because it seems the market is unpredictable and it seems that the last few weeks have been very volatile. I don't use DCA anymore because I focus more on trading and short term investing
Wow! That's great! Actually I am practicing trading right now especially futures but unfortunately I think I need more knowledge about how to get in and get out as early as possible as I am a bit laggy and greedy in terms of technical analysis and stuff so maybe I should work it out so no more heavy liquidation.

What coins do you recommend is best for scalping is it Alts or Bitcoin?

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Has the bear market started?
« on: May 18, 2024, 11:17:29 PM »
I think I saw signs of a bullish market starting, opening with prices starting from $61k now to $65k... this movement has definitely changed market sentiment which thought Bitcoin would experience another correction, even though this was the starting point for the upward bounce that would occur for the next few weeks.

I am still very confident that the price will tend to stabilize and rise from today. I hope my calculations aren't wrong this time.
Hopefully your prediction is correct, because I also see market movements starting to improve and several altcoins are also rising. If this persists for the next two weeks, it is possible that we will soon enter the bullish season.
I also hope that what he says can come true. All analysis will be broken when what he says comes true. Many have analyzed that there will be a price decline but market conditions do not agree and Bitcoin prices will increase as is happening now.
No one can predict the price of bitcoin accurately, because crypto always depends on bitcoin price movements. We see that currently the price of bitcoin has started to increase, and my prediction is that the price of bitcoin will exceed $70K soon. If that happens, altcoin prices will rise too, so be patient.
True and based on my observation on the marketit's pretty bullish this week but as you have said things will be different in the coming weeks as we cannot predict the exact price of Bitcoin I mean anything can happen from plummeting to skyrocketing but the thing here is that as long as we keep on accumulating Bitcoin we will be having the higher chance of making profits on the next ATH.

To say that gold is not an inflation hedge is just delusional, I should say. Gold has always been that way. Sure, it is harder to buy than Bitcoin, and doesn't have big gains or losses like it, but it's stable, and that's why lots of businesses and people still use it as a store of value.

Bitcoin is a bit too volatile for that but it suits most people's needs for generating wealth. Me personally though, I just use it as currency as it was intended to be.
In fact, gold has always been the best "Safe Haven" Asset because of its stable value and cannot be compared with Bitcoin which is very volatile.

Both are different and cannot be equated, Bitcoin will certainly generate profits faster and more with fluctuations that occur, but the risk is also quite large.
I use bitcoin now just to take more profits for the long term and don't really use it as a currency like you do.
Because this is also related to existing regulations in my country which can only be as commodity assets.
Well yeah, this suits my taste and preference. As long as Bitcoin is good in my country it will be one of my income generating asset just like you did because gold is way too stable and I think it is only good as a back-up asset to diversify our investments which is also a future proof one.
