Don't we need altcoins?
Actually, you can't completely control your BTC as it has arrived some unavailable usage. The altcoins are innovatively creating much more improvements.

Of course, we need altcoins. Altcoins are like important parts of the existence of crypto coins. I doubt crypto will survive with Bitcoin as a single coin. Some are scam and some failed to launch because of lacking funds. ICO failed because investors are now moving away from ICO because they think it's not profitable this day..
