Gambling & Crypto Casinos / Re: STAY AWAY FROM 1XBIT
« on: May 04, 2024, 12:01:00 PM »
We have seen the horror stories from the other forum, but I wonder how they have all this money for advertising when all they do is screw over their customers? How do they keep getting players? How has word of mouth not already reached around the world and blacklisted this casino and its partners?

When it comes to effective promotion and advertising, 1Xbet excels at targeting their audience. Their adverts are consistently visible during breaks in live games on TV, as well as on numerous streaming and movie websites. However, it's unfortunate that some companies promoting 1XBet are aware of the manipulation and theft occurring but still choose to continue promoting, solely for their own profit. Ideally, I am not a fan of 1XBet, and I don't see myself becoming one.

What happens is that Citi is going to go for everything right now , they are not going to matter at all, they only want to win because they want to win the PL, they know that their only rival is Arsenal, and since they couldn't get to the semi-Finals in the UCL, They want to secure the PL this time , it is a bit strange, because last season they were with the UCL Champions , now this season at least having the PL is a very good title Because the level of the PL is very high, so becoming champion is necessary Right now it is worthy of a very good demonstration of level, whoever wins the PLÑ for now will be worthy of being one of the teams that earn the respect of Many.

It's quite surprising that City hasn't won any trophies by this time of the season. They are still very much in two races: the Premier League title and the FA Cup title. Though City have more games in hand than Arsenal, who are very much in the title race. But a draw for city in any of their games can cost them the Premier League title, as Arsenal have just two home games and one away game. We actually thought Tottenham would be the title deciders, but it turns out to be normal for title chasers, though City hasn't played them yet.

Arsenal have Manchester United to face, which would be a very big test for Mikel Arteta's side, while City have United to face in the FA Cup final. I think both teams need to put their heads straight so as to win something. If City are not careful, they might miss out on both titles for the very first time in a long while, or maybe even win both. This is football, anything is possible.

It should be an important match in the second leg but because they have been in the same group before, they have the experience of playing at home where PSG is more favored and it won 2-0 when it was still in the group phase but I hope in the second semifinal PSG can do the same.

Maybe Dortmund will keep an eye on how they fare away from home, it's certainly a tough game for Dortmund but 1-0 on aggregate is enough because PSG will do more than two goals.

Maybe Dortmund will play defense and strengthen their defense.

Luis Enrique should come up with better tactics and stop focusing all the attention on Kylian Mbappe. Certainly, Dortmund wouldn't want to give up a 1-0 lead advantage, but that doesn't mean they should travel to France to solely defend and prevent PSG from scoring. They should also aim to attack, create chances, and capitalize on their opportunities. If PSG manages to score first, making the aggregate score 1-1, then one would expect more pressure from them, which could potentially lead them to victory and the finals.

I'm not sure if home advantage always plays a significant role, especially in Champions League fixtures. If that were the case, then City would have qualified ahead of Real Madrid. I really hope to see Dortmund in the finals, and perhaps Bayern joining them. Football can be unpredictable at times. A club's performance or form doesn't always determine outcomes, especially in competitions like this.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Again, Don't Ignore Security
« on: May 03, 2024, 12:00:58 AM »
In 2023, scammers managed to steal a staggering $4 billion in crypto. Now let's do our best to ensure that when they tally up the numbers for 2024, you won't be a part of that statistic.

Based on my firsthand experience, there is a tendency to disregard basic security practices when the market is generating profits and FOMO sets in. It's astonishing how our minds can become consumed during these times, leading us to jump from one protocol or website to another in search of the next major opportinity. This post serves as a friendly reminder that while pursuing such, we must not forget to:

These measures may seem elementary, yet it is astounding how easily they can be disregarded when one is fixated on chasing the "next 100x" gain.

It's very true that times like these are massive opportunities for many, which can also divert one's attention away from all important security matters. The majority of those who look forward to making profits during these times are sometimes those who haven't fallen victim to scams and hacking related issues. Just take a good look at last year's statistics, it shows how high the theft rate is and how irresponsible some crypto hodlers can be. Security is surely everyone's duty, and I hope the majority of us stay alert.

Traditional currency includes naira,US dollars, euro and Japanese yen. Central Banks and government are the institutions that issues and regulate fait currencies.

The difference between traditional currency and cryptocurrency, it is base on their operational and accessibility models.

Traditional currency operates in centralized institutions like Banks which are governs by regulations.they are constrained geographically an operational wise.
While cryptocurrency is decentralize system, that operates without banking infrastructure, unlike traditional currency.
Let us discuss and know more about, traditional currency vs cryptocurrency

Quite educating, I must say. However, I should probably add what I understand. Third-party involvement is what we've used to distinguish these two in some ways. Cryptocurrency happens to be a digital value using encryption technology, while traditional currencies are printed and made (paper and coin) using a specific design that suits the country where they are to be used. Though, we've began to see some countries switching to the digital form.

Are we in trouble? Mind you he's posts are not entirely bad but I'm just curious how he's able to write more than 10+ in a space of few minutes apart. Normally reading OP and some replies before posting should take more than 5 mins depending on length of discussion. Is this guy bot?

Ps: didn't temper with any of his posts yet....

No breathing space ;D. I can't really say that he/she is a bot, but looking at the gap between posting times, I can only deduce that the user might not be reading every post completely before making comments. Maybe he uses the thread title to make replies, or he just reads a few lines. I can't really detect how he does such, but I think techniques like this might not yield positive replies in all posts. That's where we start seeing some replies that are way off the topic. Just saying though...

I'm really sorry to hear that you experienced that. That's really a bad experience and I hope you don't get swayed away with cryptocurrency and learn from your mistakes. You must make amends to that in a way that you wouldn't repeat it.

It's a good practice to check the final transaction and see the address. Sometimes you have to verify as well on your exchange (if that's where you will be transferring) if they made amends to their receiving addresses.

An error that cannot be corrected once done. Rechecking the receiver's wallet address is indeed a good practice for preventing such a massive mistake, but sometimes, we find ourselves in an exciting and swift position where we just want to do things in a hasty manner.

From what I have learned so far, there are viruses that can detect cryptocurrency wallet addresses and then when copied and pasted, they will automatically change the copied wallet address to the hacker's wallet address. The name of this virus is Masad Stealer Malware, or perhaps there are other types of malware that have not been named but have the same mechanism.

Usually, to clean this type of virus, antivirus alone is not enough, but you have to do a complete clean. Several years ago my PC was attacked by this virus and what I know is that the hacker address does not always appear when I press CTRL + V, but more often the hacker address appears when pressing the CTRL + V button when copying my address.

I realized this when I double-checked the last few letters for the address I was going to with the one I pasted. And strangely, when it was removed using the Windows Defender antivirus, this malware returned to activity some time later after the PC was restarted.

I think I am currently experiencing an issue with malware affecting my phone's clipboard. When I copy a bunch of text and switch tabs to paste, there is some kind of unusual interference affecting my copied text. I have taken note of this, which means I must find a quick solution before making my next transaction.

I haven't taken a single loan from the bank, as I haven't been in a situation where I needed one, and I don't want to be. Relating a loan to cryptocurrency is totally a NO-NO situation for me, especially when it's clearly for investment purposes. The issue of interest might complicate things, especially when there is a dip or otherwise.

If I were to take a crypto loan, then it should probably come from someone very close to me, or someone I can maintain physical contact with. I would surely suggest that there shouldn't be any interest rate, and I might even repay the exact amount I took in Dollar price.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Anonymity - good or bad?
« on: April 28, 2024, 09:31:51 PM »
Privacy and anonymity are two different things that most of the time we get confused with one another.

I will start by saying that this is totally correct. There is a massive difference here between this two word. Of course, we all value our privacy both online and offline, but so many of us has opt to the idea of anonymity due to external interference in what concerns us. This external interference has all your personal details, which sadly are sometimes obtain from a trusted and reputable company.

If we are to relate this to Bitcoin, we discover that this same external force have also cultivated ways to tracing and tracking people down through transaction whether illegal or legal.

Well, I think Anonymity isn't bad as it seems, but we have to understand that all this started from a group of people who feel the power to obtain people's information and Intrude their privacy is not a huge problem.

I come to the question when I have to make such an important decision, should I choose the first or the second option, which is better and safer for you people? How long do you leave it on that option?

I have always prefer a wallet for storage especially when it has to do with long term hodling of cryptocurrency. Due to the security fixtures of wallets and the authoritative power over ones personal funds, then you should look no further to anything outside this.

But in a case where you happen to be a crypto trader or someone who swaps crypto often for profitable reasons, then storing your trading assets on exchanges should be a better option so as to help reduce regular transaction charges. Though using this method has it's own disadvantage. There is a general term in crypto that says: "not your keys, not your coin". In such case, you would want to consider checking your trading assets regularly.

Man City is playing away against Brighton tonight, the kick-off starts in around 1 hour.
On paper it should be an easy one for the City, but I wouldn't be very shocked if Brighton managed to pull a surprise and steal at least a point.
Man City are under big pressure to win and get back to the top of the table, and Brighton can allow themselves to be relaxed as they're sitting comfy in the middle of the table safe above the relegation zone.
In their previous game the City won 2-1 (at home) so not a super-decisive win and Brighton tends to perform much better in front of their own audience so I don't expect this to be a walk in a park.

City are very much in a better condition to win this game tonight. Injury worries have never made things easy for De Zerbi this season. We could see how Arsenal tortured them some weeks back. Haaland isn't featured in today's game due to a minor injury, but I think City has the quality to do the job.

Quote
Liverpool didn't do well yesterday, losing the derby match to Everton, so it looks like it boils down to either Man City or Arsenal.

This is what we get in derby games, though we didn't see this coming. Surprisingly, Mikel was on the score sheet for Everton in the last Merseyside derby that they won years back. Games towards the end of the season are important especially for klopp as it keeps him in the title race. Though, we can't neglect the fact that in football, anything can happen. We saw arsenal lossing to Villa and going out of the champions league in a space of weeks. No club is vulnerable to defeat, even the great City.
