Hello everyone, I assume most of us are familiar with staking as a passive income avenue, whether on DEX or CEX platforms.

I'd like to ask, what factors do you consider before choosing a platform for staking? Is it flexibility, APY, or something else? Secondly, which platform do you believe offers the best APR for staking BTC, USDT, and ETH? Please share your opinions.
To be honest I can't find any good APR for staking on any dex or cex , Like I have already staked 2k USDT on Binance But while their APR was high a few days ago, its rate has come down a lot. Moreover, currently, I earn some tokens from the lunchpool pad by staking FDUSD on Binance, although the last few lunch pool pad did not earn much profit.
So I will suggest you that if you really need stable fund holding then you can make passive income by staking USDT on Binance or FDUSD stake during lunchpool.

They've been lots of suggestions on the thread ready. I'll say explore them..someone mentioned PoolX with good APRs too. That looked interesting to me.

Crypto staking is indeed something that is quite promising for us to do at the same time as our crypto holding process for a certain period of time. Usually this is done in an effort while waiting for a bullish era or at least the price on the market is in line with our target. Because staking usually has or provides its own benefits while we hold.

So, some of the things I usually consider when choosing a platform for staking are:

1. Trusted and reputable exchange/platform
That is certain and mandatory. I would much prefer a more trusted and reputable platform with smaller APY than a non-trusted and new platform even with higher APY. Because the security of my assets is much more important. Make sure that the platform has a good reputation and also a good level of security, because staiking will take a long time, so we have to be careful with the platform we choose, because it will make us feel safe.

2. Its security
Yes, this is what is related to the choice of platform above. The point is to choose one that has a good reputation for system security, security for our assets for a long period of time.

3. Rewards
Of course, it cannot be denied that rewards are also something to be taken into consideration because if the satking reward is too small, what's the point? it would actually be quite a waste to know about it. After realizing that the platform is safe and trusted, then also consider the rewards you can get for staking in a certain amount and period. compare between 1 platform and another.

4. Fees & Conditions
This is also important because after all we have to know what the fees are and what the conditions are. Don't try to find a platform whose fees are very large because this will increase the profits we get. Likewise, there are several conditions and requirements that must be met.

5. Choice of crypto
This is probably important because we must first understand what cryptos are supported on the ETRSBEUT platform. We don't need cash to replace or convert our crypto to another crypto just for staking on that platform. For example, at least tehre are BTC, ETH, BNB, or USDT

We all know the current state of Defi, is quite fragmented. but what re your thoughts on this new approach by zklink to unify liquidity across various blockchains though an aggregated layer 3 zkevm rollup network? Do you think this is a good approach or not ?
I think once you compare zksync approach with other L2 solutions you'll get your answer. Most users focus is on the scheduled airdrop atm though.  But my honest opinion zksync is different with OP, polygon in terms of technologies, scaling approach etc. which is the best? That's left for professionals to decide..

Meme Coins / Doge coin dog KABOSU passes away..
« on: May 24, 2024, 06:52:18 PM »
Woke up to the sad news of Kabosu's passing. This got me thinking, which made me wonder: which meme dog will Elon adopt next? Could his next adoptee be Laika, the first dog to travel to space?

Meme Coins / Re: Top MEME Coins For 2025
« on: May 24, 2024, 06:42:33 PM »
I have a different top memecoins from yours.

My top five memecoins for 2025 are Pepe, Shiba Inu, COQ, Bonk, and Toshi. They are different from yours, they are currently skyrocketing in price and I have seen many profits from them, although I intend to hodl them next year.

I am sure they will all cancel two zeros from their current price during the time they will give their ATH.

You can add Laika to this list, it's a dog space themed memecoin with solid team and a good website. Already making waves on X

I remember they used to have a campaign on Bitcointalk checking on the market it still looks good
In fact.

Bitget Announces Vechain Listing with $37,750 in Rewards it still a coin with good potential in the market

And
Quote
VET surged by 30% to $0.04664, following the team's announcement that the Account Abstraction feature is now live on VeChain
.

There are a lot of great things to come on this project as long as the developers are dedicated to completing their roadmap and getting the coin moving in the market.

This is the first time I have looked closely at this coin, and I think it has good potential and is worth adding to one's portfolio.

True, anyone that understands a token with real utility would understand Vechain is Building something incredible. They just ventured into Rwa, unlocking about 16trillion rwa opportunity by digitizing assets. And like you mentioned vet just onboarded into Bitget spot market. It's something I'll definitely look at.

It's been a few months since CZ left Binance. I recently read a tweet talking about how Binance's online presence hasn't been the same ever since. Heck, most people don't even know the new CEO's name, which isn't good for a company that big. As much as I think a single person doesn't "make" the entire company, this has taught me a lot.

I'm also starting to see why Bitget chose to promote Gracy Chen to CEO today after so long. Or why Justin Sun still remains the face of several companies after all this time. Just like Justin, Gracy is a person who commands a lot of presence online and knows how to keep users excited about any new innovations. If anything, I guess this teaches us about the importance of having a smart, but exciting face as the representative of any company. We can only hope she keeps up this pace continues to grow. Also, that somehow, we get to see the CZ vibe again sometime in the near future.

I don't even know binance new CEO name 😀. CZ was everyone's fav due to his online presence, constant posts about the market and his famous phrase. If you can't hold, you won't be rich ahah... I hope he's back soon. For Gracy chen, she's done a good job as MD, and I think she'll do a better job as CEO due to her positive past impact. Let's hope Bitget gets more popular and she has that CZ impact. Fingers crossed

As someone who likes cats I check out all Cat meme projects I come across that's how I found Catamoto. We all know that memes just thrive on hype but this one has a pretty nice foundation as a DEFI community driving launchpad project.

Still, while the project is quite promising I'm still quite skeptical since it's still a meme coin lol. If there's anyone with better knowledge about the project please tell me if it's a nice investment, thanks.

Memecoins has been known to not have utilities. But you mentioned here that CATAMOTO has Defi features. Can you be specific, is it swaps, launchpads etc, and tell us more about this memecoin. How's the community, what are their plans. Is this the meme ticker

Crypto Exchanges / Re: CEX vs DEX: The neverending discussion
« on: May 16, 2024, 11:38:28 PM »
When people ask the usual CEX vs DEX question and I pick CEX they often talk smack about my answer saying they will pick DEXs anytime cause they prefer having complete control over their assets. It's a very valid reason but the steady influx of events on CEXs is enough for me to pick CEX, call me a brokie but that's just what I need hahaha.

An example now is one deposit event on Bitget I just saw. I won't be saying much about it but it has a million dollars of trading bonuses and BTC as its reward. Why will I choose DEXs over CEXs in that case? Besides, I don't even have enough assets to be worried about hahaha. What do you guys think though, weighing what both offer which will you choose, CEXs or DEXs?

I don't think I can pick one over the other. Both cex & dex have a role to play in the crypto space. If you want more flexibility and more risk then dex is for you. But if you crave security, control and low risk assets then cex is for you. Another perks is the rewards you mentioned on a cex. $1M is huge I'm sure no dex could roll out that kinda stuff for deposits. All in all, they both serve same purpose, so let's use them wisely..

Hey there, fellow traders! Have you noticed how crypto exchanges are always trying to outdo each other in attracting new users and boosting trading activity?  Well, one of their favorite tactics is these crypto trading competitions. It's a win-win really. They get more people trading, which means more fees for them, and we get a shot at some sweet prizes. I've been in a few myself, and it's a fun way to test the waters and maybe even snag some extra crypto.

So, anyone here ever thrown down in a trading competition? What was your experience like? Any wild wins or epic fails to share?

My experience has been bittersweet, to be honest. I think last year I got into KCGI(,hosted on Bitget), but my technical analysis wasn't the best. However, I loved the experience - trading under pressure, networking with traders, etc. I've been in other tournaments since then and made some decent gains too. I'll be looking to get into more this year and improve my performance.

Crypto Exchanges / How does exchange referral bonuses work?
« on: May 11, 2024, 05:39:09 PM »
It's a cold Saturday in my part of the world, with BTC ranging around $60k. The market seems indecisive at the moment, but that's not why I'm here. A friend asked me how exchange referral bonuses work, what percentage is earned per referral, and other details involved. Since I have no idea, I decided to bring it here for experienced altcoin talkers to share their insights.

More liquidity for NOT. I'll get some on Bitget's pre market though and sell 50% upon listing cos rn price looks cheap..

User engagement plays a pivotal role in the ever-evolving world of cryptocurrencies. With data from "SImilarweb", ICO Analytics was able to shed light on the shifting preferences of crypto enthusiasts across various platforms in April 2024.

After going through it, here are the key takeaways in my opinion. Binance, despite being the leader with 75 million visits, faced a -26% decline from March while Coinbase and BYBIT both experienced a significant drop of -31% and -21% respectively.

The biggest gain was experienced by Bitget, with an impressive +11% growth increase in web traffic in contrast to the negative trend, while the steepest decliner was KUCOIN with -39%, highlighting the volatile nature of user trust.

As exchanges adapt and enhance security, attracting and retaining users remains a challenge.

What is causing this significant decline though?

Lots of factors causes decline probably users loss of confidence in the platform, lack of quality service, non compliance with regulations & transparency or the general crypto market trend. All the same the cex that gained an increase in web traffic needs to be commended. My idea is they're doing something right..
