Well, I don't see it in such a negative way as trendcoin, Lucius and Z-tight, for example. Trump would not be the first to change his mind about bitcoin. Take Michael Saylor, for example, now a leading bitcoin evangelist:

In Trump's case, being a politician and a populist, he could indeed be saying this to win votes from a certain sector, but this is also linked to the rejection of the CBDCs that the Democratic Party is implementing. Rejecting CBDCs and being more tolerant of bitcoin is more in line with the Republican party and its main supporters are among its members.

The difference between what Saylor wrote 10+ years ago and what Trump is saying today is huge - not only because it was so long ago when many had a very bad opinion of Bitcoin, but because Saylor did a complete U-turn at one point and sticks to what he says - while Trump, as a politician (but also as a businessman), changes his opinion every now and then.

For me personally, this is a man with dangerous intentions and complete unpredictability, whose election as US president would cause quite a bit of chaos in the US and most of the world. The man who left with the bloodshed is talking again today about a new bloodshed in case he does not win (admittedly in the context of the auto industry if I read correctly), but again such rhetoric is completely insane in any civilized society.

Trusting a politician is like giving your friend a knife to hold when you know that they can stab you on the back any giving time. Politicians will say a lot of validation just to make you people feel like the hope they are waiting for is finally here but the reality is that they are saying it to get a lot of supporters. You know that Trump is one of the stubborn political person, if he eventually get to office and they say Bitcoin do this and that, you will see how he is going to rubbish down Bitcoin and take back his good words now, very self centered public figures.

Yeah i know there are a lot of people who have changed their mind about BTC, Saylor is one of them as you have rightly said, but Saylor is not a politician and what he said was a long time ago. However, he realized he was wrong and now we all know he is pro BTC.

Trump is a politician and it was not so long ago he made those bad comments about BTC, then again if the election was not around the corner or if he was not one of the candidates, then i may have believed that he has truly had a change of heart. But with the events surrounding his latest comments, i will take everything he said with a grain of salt.
