I think it eventually will. Silver replaced gold, then IOU backed gold pieces of paper replaced silver, then the value of the state's IOUs replaced gold, why not bitcoin replace IOU's that aren't backed by anything? Gold is worth 100x what it used to be, so clearly fiat money isn't that great after all, just convenient.

Maybe another new crypto coin with more sophisticated technology that can replace the official currency. There are still many shortcomings that Bitcoin has. as long as the bitcoin transaction is not stopped then bitcoin is still standing. it's just that the rise and fall of bitcoin affects popularity, if only bitcoin prices are stable.

I mean that bitcoin will continue to exist but not for means of payment, try to see now is there an official online store payment with bitcoin ?? Like Amazon, Alibaba, or other ?? it's very slow, and for now the fee is still quite large, still inferior to paypal, that transactions are fast, and the cost is very small.

Bitcoin don't need special prayer for it to survive, bitcoin is already surviving despite the fight that Bitcoin face on daily basis if not from the sec and other treat that Bitcoin receive on different angle that would have been enough reason to stop bitcoin existence but is still waxing strong everyday. It is not possible Bitcoin can eliminate US Dollars, Banks, Gold and Silver.  Because it is the world's currency and Gold Silver is a mine of precious metals.  The bank also has a very large function. While Bitcoin is a digital currency that acts as an easier alternative payment. I think everything will go according to its own function.
