Title: I found out from Twitter.
Post by: Tanimariya on July 17, 2020, 02:52:11 PM
Recently, i know Binance CEO, Changpend Zhao has recently criticised the security of Twitter after the recent coordinated attack on prominent accounts. He has said this on the World Blockchain Summit Asia which took place on Thursday i.e. 16 July. This attack on Twitter has targeted several prominent crypto exchanges including Coinbase, Binance and many others. Along with this, it has attacked some of the most famous personalities of the U.S. Barack Obama, Bill Gates, Elon Musk and many others. The hackers were posting tweets from these accounts and have been offering a fake crypto giveaway.
What's your opinion?

Sophisticated security systems definitely have a gap.  I've heard the phrase that "the creator of a virus is an anti-virus company".

I have a question in my head.  What if it turns out that someone at the Twitter company hacked the accounts of famous people and some famous exchanges?
Or Twitter companies deliberately pay hackers to hack their accounts. Then what is the agenda behind this.

Sorry, this might sound a little crazy and don't answer your question.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao must be talking based on his own experience when his exchange was hacked and they lost millions worth of digital assets. Well, in today's hi-tech and digital world no security measure can really be enough and when a group pf sophisticated hackers and scammers can be focusing on a certain platform only time can tell when the dam can burst. The challenge here is always to make sure that we are a step ahead of these hackers and sadly we are not yet.

I think this is a possibility. Anything can pulled off as long there is a money involved. Who knows if this is just a scheme from Twitter they can say thwy have been breached but the truth is this is a coordinated act. However, still we are not sure if this is true, only a hypothesis. Twitter has a lot of followers and reputation is much important so I guess they need to amend something here.

In fairness to twitter they never expect those hacking attacks to happen, sometimes no matter how you are prepared still shits happen, thats why twitter has no control about it, But it can affect their reputation as a trusted social media company so we better wait what happens next regarding that issue.

Oh my goodness! This is not expected to happen specially Twitter. Things might be tough for Twitter CEO and all big personalities to trust the system again. New interface and approach possible to happen.

Yes, it was all over the news. Many people send their money into those addresses in greed and hacked stole 12 BTC. I wonder why people judge something without questioning it. They should think why Barak Obama will make a giveaway! Even he is not a businessman. I think some greedy people gets what they actually deserve. Next time they won't do this kind of stupidity.
