Title: How generous you are with your +karma?

I just wondering how full members, Sr members, heroes, legendaries, mythical, and padawan in our forum are generous when it comes in giving +karma to a post specially to every topic starter. And what is your standard to consider post a quality.

This question I have in my mind came after noticing some posts started by some OPs' were not rewarded which I considered quality and some topics were backed up by links as support to their posts. Aside from this I consider their effort to every topic they exerted. In it I based my reason for +karma.

Below are links of 3 topics that are not rewarded but each received 1 +karma from me.

How about you guys, what is your standard for +karma? Is it base on what btt heroes and legendaries do or you paid no attention to it?

Well it's goo if our standard is same like with btt but do you think it will help big for the growth of our forum? I think we have to consider that majority in this forum is not yet fully educated in crypto unlike those who are in btt with legendary rank. That's why I would suggest to let us appreciate the effort of every member who keep doing their best to contribute to our forum by creating topic in an average level. Through this we we are helping not just the member growth but also the altcoinstalks forum.

What do you think guys?

PS. The reason why it is quoted is because I already posted it in heroes and legendaries section but I realized that this might be good if everyone will notice it.

Your opinion is greatly appreciated.

I consider the topics you posted as somewhat spams and not worthy of getting +karma. I bet those posters didn't even put an effort in adding their input to the topic, it's just copy-paste and goodbye. Posting a link doesn't also qualify for quality topic. They're just trying to promote a product. You should check their post history and you'll know what I mean.

About karma generosity, I give it to someone who can actually engage in real discussions. Not copy-paste from articles and not rehashed comments/posts.

You reminded me of the time I got a private message from someone asking to give him/her +karma since it's free and because he/she game me one. Can you imagine how many people this member has message to get +karma in return? That's like trading. That is probably the reason why I see some accounts with at least 10 +karma but they post mostly one or two liner low value contents.

I don't care if you consider it a spam that's your opinion. Besides I did not ask a karma from you or inserting a word asking karma to this post, I don't even practice or tried to ask karma through private message. With that I can say that you misunderstood my intent. I just raise this topic to hear what others think about it not by means of getting karma. Well, if someone will do that I'll appreciate it. Thanks though.

Then why the heck did you even asked?

In your quoted statement, you said

And I answered:

so that simply means Your standard is not the same as mine and I even added what I consider as quality here

Clear enough for you?

I'm pretty sure I understood the intent and I didn't say that you are begging for +karma. I said "You reminded me of....." which is just a side comment on "+Karma generosity". You probably just felt attacked with that and had to defend yourself lol. Perhaps it is you who didn't expect an answer that is in direct contrast to Your standard.

actually giving karma + depending on our point of view, I appreciate members who provide useful information with their thoughts not just full copy-paste from various sources without adding to their ideas.

This is also my thought. I basically give+ karma depending of quality post and topic to inspire the writer to do more quality production of thoughts next time. I actually don't like copy paste work, and garbage that ultimately don't add any value to the forum.

I believe personally, I am generous and very fair giving out karmas more than the same gesture has been applied to me. Once I come across a good, quality and we'll organized posts (topics or comments). I use the Karma button deservingly. That's how it should be.

Right now karma is  value able in our forum as like the merit in bitcointalk forum ... also in this case , karma should be used in proper ways and i think forum member doing so as there has no payment system with karma related so no cheating will be with karma.. so we should give karma on those post or topic where we will be able to find out the right information which is helpful for us as well for another member..

I have not get any karma and I am also little disappointed because I am trying my best to make a good post. I am following all the rules and I am waiting for karma.

It works a little bit another way: if you are not breaking the rules, if your behaviour is not disapointing you don't get negative karma. To get positive karma you should impress someone else someway: sharing imteresting and useful information, giving good advises, improving someones mood etc. So if someone would see something inregular positive in your post he or she can give you +karma. Million reasons for giving it, but rarely just for following the rules. But okay, get +1 welcome karma from me, just like that. ;)
