Anyone who has been involved with crypto for a short time would surely know about these abbreviations, it is not so difficult to know and understand. However, i want to address the 'safu' abbreviation that was introduced by Binance, newbies should disregard that as funds are never safu when they are not in your own custody. Funds can only be safu when you control the keys to it.

The SAFU abbreviation doesn't mean about the safety of the funds of every user. It is about the reserved funds for any emergency situation such as hacking of the exchange and such, to protect the assets of the investors. Meaning, that they have an allocated amount if anything happens to the money of the investors while it is being invested inside the exchange.

Newbies shouldn't disregard the word SAFU because it's better not to think of it as similar to each other.

Of course who wouldn't know what HODL means? I am Holding (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=375643.0).
And then if there is JOMO, there is also FOMO - Fear Of Missing Out.
As for the SAFU term, yeah, it's not guarantee that even if a exchange says that they are SAFU, your money is going to be safe with them.

May I add one word to point number 5?
I seem to hear it often in various articles, so I inserted it in this thread in part number 17.

17. DWYOR = Do With Your Own Risk

Do this with your observations regarding cryptocurrency because every good and bad, profit and loss is completely based on the choice of what you have done.
