as of the moment, there is no other coins to challenge BTC in the crypto currency ecosystem. All popularity and adoption was taken by Bitcoin as the leader of them all. As we can notice the market most of the alts coins are dependent on the movement of BTC. prices of the market were clearly influence by BTC movement. So I don't think theres something out there to outrun BITCOIN as of now.

Yes it's really had a breaking record if you just see the chart for this past few years in the stock market of Bitcoin you can see how the bitcoin really growing faster. But they not showing it to the public, But more investors try to invest in Bitcoin because they seeing a big blown for the bitcoin for this upcoming year.

I've just gotten into crypto  and I've split my spending about 1:7 Etherium/Bitcoin...and I hope to build up to at least one Bitcoin to be held longterm.  Altcoins seem very speculative to me...I want to know a lot more about the individual schemes they're based on before committing any money to them.
