I have always thought that selling at a loss is a serious mistake. I understand that people who sell at a loss may think that by selling they will not lose everything, and that they will be able to recover at least part of their investment. But it is just as important to know how to wait as it is to know which project is the most appropriate, that's why there are people who never make money, due to lack of patience.
There are quite a few times in the past where I need to sell some of my Bitcoins because of some events that I can't even control. My mistake at that time is that I went all in on Bitcoin and other altcoins that I forgot to put some of my emergency funds, and when the time comes that I need it, I don't have anything and cryptocurrency at that time is also going down. I have no choice, but to sell some of my tokens just to have some money to use. I sold it at a loss.

I'm disappointed on my decision, but I just thought that at that moment, my priority is the emergency that happened than my portfolio hence, I did that thing. I learned from that of course, and now has emergency funds already.

Did anybody saw that ICO's will be the narrative before it happened in 2017?
Did anybody saw that DeFi's were a thing before it happened in 2018?
Did anybody saw that NFT's and Metaverse will become a thing and will get hyped before it happened in 2021?
I bet there's nobody.

My point is nobody knows what category the narrative in the future will be. Nobody expected that AI coins will emerge (even though they aren't related to AI at all, but they are just using the word "AI" to increase their popularity", but it happens. There's a chance that what OP said might be the narrative in the next years. Who knows we might see another version of meme coins in the future or maybe we might see a combination of Gaming and Meme coin in the future. Maybe we might see another version of ICO's in the future.

What I know is that the industry is growing and as years pass by, more and more projects of different categories emerge. That's what makes the whole crypto space exciting. :D

IDEX (IDEX) / Re: how is IDEX exchange going
« on: Today at 09:10:37 AM »
The last time I used this exchange was in 2020, and I still have funds there, maybe those funds have become worthless and become a dead project
Is IDEX exchange still active or has it closed?
because I couldn't find history in my search
I've heard the name of the exchange way back when I was starting in crypto (can't remember the year though).
I visited the website that @MySpasybo has shared, and it seems like their website is on a testnet phase, but currently trading is paused. I don't know what happened to this exchange, because I've used this exchange for sure at least once during my early years in crypto. Didn't know that they are rebranding (or something like that), but it is still an exchange.

As for your funds, maybe just forget about it completely since you already said that those are worthless and dead projects already.

Cardano Forum / Re: Is Cardano better than ethereum?
« on: Today at 07:33:32 AM »
I also have both ethereum and cardano in my wallet. I also plan to hold on to the funds until early next year, waiting for the bullish season. I have a target of selling my ethereum at $7K and cardano at $2.5.
I also think that the peak of this cycle will come in early next year, but I'm curious about why you expect ETH to reach a new ATH in this bullrun but are bearish on the future of ADA. In the bullrun 2021, ADA hit an ATH of $3.1, is there any reason why ADA could not hit a new ATH above $3.1 in this bullrun? For me, Cardano is developing strongly in both technology and ecosystem, ADA will be better supported and can easily reach a new ATH in the $5-6 zone, even though ADA's recovery in recent times has not been as impressive as ETH's.
Selling at $2.50 is probably just a conservative approach. Development in tech and the growing ecosystem is a good indication but there is not a lot of hype around Cardano at the moment. That is one major reason why some people I've talked to view ADA as a slow horse and might not be the best choice if you want to maximize profits until early next year.

Anyway, it's still a profit if you sell at that price.
That's the problem with Cardano, and that's why it doesn't fit for me.
ADA is good for long term holders, and when I mean long-term holders, I mean a minimum of 5 years.

I might be in the mid 20's still, and investing in ADA is still worth it, but I don't like holding a coin aside from Bitcoin for more than 3 years or even 5 years. Upgrades are very slow until it will come to a point where the token will become unpopular. Yes, the project is developing, but the development takes a lot of time though the good thing is that, whenever they release an upgrade, there are no bugs or glitches whatsoever (at least that's what I saw). Anyway, buying ADA during the bear market and sell it during the bull market will give you yield (as other top coins will).

This move is a response to the rising number of online fraud cases and scams linked to cryptocurrencies...
Specifically, if an account is used to purchase or trade cryptocurrencies, or if credits from cryptocurrency transactions are received, Kroo will block the payments. Persisting in such activities may lead to the closure of the account
Another big talk from a bank, unless they ask the source of the funds for every transaction, there's no way they can tell if someone doing crypto related transaction in p2p form.
Of course, they will not do it. They will just completely ban it because... they have the power to do it.
It might be true, or it might be not. They might be protecting their customers, or their business is getting affected by cryptocurrencies. Whatever the reason is, I agree with what others are saying here that they are being left behind.

They can ban it - for now, but if they saw the benefits of cryptocurrency possibly not now, but in the future, they will eat their words and soon, they will just start to accept cryptocurrency transactions again. They can do something to at least mitigate these kinds of activities, but they choose to ban it completely. I hope that this will not affect them negatively.

Anyway, it's the Celtics and Mavericks in the NBA Finals. During the 2 regular season games, the Celtics won in both games. Which duo will succeed in getting a title. Will it be Tatum & Brown or Luka & Kyrie. What's your prediction? For me, I'll go with Mavericks in 7 games. :)

Same, going to bet for the Dallas Mavericks in this series, good thing though that they are the underdog in this series with an odds of 2.85 as of this writing. The Mavs will be the bigger, quicker and younger team versus the Celtics so this is a easy pick at least for me.
There are some questions that are coming to my mind when it comes to the Celtics.
1. Will Porzingis play the whole NBA Finals?
2. How will Jrue Holiday defend Luka Doncic? Or will he successfully defend Luka and potentially decrease his playoff stats.

If Porzingis will play in the whole NBA Finals (it's his first time if that happens), it might be a huge factor towards the Celtics defense in the paint because of how tall he is and how he can stretch the defense of the Mavericks with his ability to shoot. TBH, both Gafford and Lively might have a disadvantage against him because I expect that both of them will guard KP at least for most of the game.

We know how excellent Holiday is as a defender and with this one, it's no doubt that he will guard Doncic. The question is how good he is at defending Luka. Will he be the one that can stop Luka for scoring 30+ points every game? Will he be the one that can stop him and decrease his efficiency? Because if he cannot then I don't think that the Celtics can win. Like KP, he also has a big role in this series, and if they want to win, he must guard Luka at all times.

Both KP and Holiday have big roles in this NBA Finals. I didn't specify Tatum and Brown because we know what they will do in the court. Still, I'll go with Mavericks in 7 games whatever happens. :)

The numbers is really against the Wolves here, they really have a big chance in this series to make it at least, but they blow the first two games and I think that is the final nail in the coffin for them. Although they won the last game, recovering from a 0-3 hasn't been done before by any team in the NBA. The best thing they can do is to force a game 7, but then the Luka will not let this team down and doesn't want to be the first team in history to blow a 3-1 lead and lost. There are reports that Lively will be back in the line up, so that will be a big problem on the Wolves as Lively contributes big in this series with his rebounds and those easy points in the paid because of Luka or Kyrie's lob pass which is un stoppable.

And there you go mate, the Mavericks have advanced to the Finals. The Wolves just couldn't solve the Luka puzzle which exploded right on the get-go. Not yet time ANT but for sure he will have his moments on the years to come but not now as Kyrie Irving is on a mission to give Luka his first ring in the NBA.
Well, Luka made them like they're just one of the teams who're like an average on defensive rating. They forgot that the Wolves are the best defensive team in the NBA during the regular season, and yet they just can't stop him in offense. Kyrie had a bad night in Game 4 when they lost, but that doesn't matter.

Till this day, I still don't know if the Gobert trade is a win-win for them. Don't want to throw shots with him, but there are instances where he's having a hard time defending the paint. Heck, even Luka danced with him in Game 2 and can't guard him in the final seconds of the game hence, making that 3-pt shoot in front of him. The Wolves team as a whole is a good defensive team, but for me, he doesn't deserve that DPOY title. Most overrated player indeed.

Mistakes and failures will always exist when investing, and that is what makes us experience. and learn from the experience. No one who invests always makes a profit, that's why we diversify several coins that we think have potential.
This isn't only applicable in investing, but in real life as well. As we live, we will experience mistakes and failures in our lives.

The best thing to do is to learn from our mistakes and try not to do it again. Learning from them makes us more resilient. Learning from mistakes makes us smarter. In investing, learning from failures (such as getting lost in trading, or in scams) will help us become even better investors. At the end of the day, those who are making adjustments off of the mistakes and failures that they've experienced are the ones that will be successful not only in investing, but in real life as well.

Diversification on the other hand is always recommended but try not to overdiversify too much. I mean diversify your portfolio based on the amount of capital that you're using.

I don't buy NFTs from marketplaces but mint them if mint is free or for a very low fee, if project becomes successful these early minted NFTs tend to be valued good as the case with Mode network nfts.

I wonder when Blast will launch their token. :D

Blast airdrop is scheduled on June 26.
If I didn't look at your reply here, I will not know that the schedule is at 26th of June. More than 3 weeks from now. Thanks for sharing.

Regarding testnets, I do them if I find project attractive enough as in case of Initia lately.

As for testnets, I only tried Berachain, but I stopped it already because there are no clear requirements yet on how testnet users can be eligible in the airdrop.

I also bothered with berachain for a few days — claim faucet and did random stuff on their website, but got fed up with same old repetitive stuff.
Same old repetitive sh*t.

Claiming faucets here and there, minting NFT's here and there, making transactions here and there. That's your daily routine with Berachain and it also came to a point for me that I don't want to do it anymore hence, I also quit doing it. One more is that the requirements for us to be eligible isn't released online yet. What if us testnet users will not be given any reward when the airdrop launch? Effort wasted. Time wasted. :D

Can there be things we can do as individual cryptocurrency supporters to help in limiting the reach of these ever adaptive and enticing scams? Or should we resigned to accept that this is already a normal way of life in this industry?
Warnings, advice, tips, guides.
I guess that's what we can do to at least decrease the number of scams that are happening around the crypto space.

To eradicate it? It will not happen, and it already came to a point where scam is being treated as a normal thing that are happening with anything that involves investing (at least that's what I see). I said it because whatever we do, there will always be people that will get scammed. There will always people who are gullible enough to fall into even the most common ways of scamming. There will always be people that will not listen to warnings and will end up regretting it. There will always be people who are willing to risk their money even though they know that the chances of it being a scam project is very high.

It's good that authorities like SEC are giving warnings to different investors, and with AI being used by every much person around the world that has access to it, it's no surprise that scammers will also take advantage of it as well.

Until now, I'm still hoping that there will be an altcoin that will be performing what AI really is doing right now, or at least more than that.

TBH, I'm a bit hesitant in buy and hold some AI coins because all of them aren't related to AI at all. They're just using the term "AI" to ride the hype around AI currently, but in reality, they are nowhere near to it. Now because of this post, I will be completely ignoring these AI-related coins. I will not buy any of it and will just buy other tokens.

Thanks for sharing. :) I guess we know that these projects are just riding what's the narrative currently. Correct me, but is there any AI meme coin that's been created already? If yes kindly share it, and if there's not a single one yet, I believe there will be one in the future. :)

Meme Coins / Re: Are You Confident in Your Memecoin Holdings?

Re:  Are You Confident in Your Memecoin Holdings?
I have no meme coins that are holding right now, but I already set aside a small amount of my money to buy DOGE during the winter season/bear market season. This is because I want to join the community, and my decision is also inspired by the death of the face of DOGE which is Kabosu.

I believe that there are many who got profit already while holding meme coins, but I also believe that there are many people who lost their money investing into it especially those who bought new memecoin projects. Whatever happens, I hope that you will end up making profits at the end of the bull run whether it's from meme coins or whatever it is. :)

Another game that's decided in the last minute but it's good to see how the Wolves did not fold this time.

The win makes the Mavs as the underdog for game 5 @2.55. The Wolves probably feels more confident now but I still think it will be the last game of this series. I expect another close one that's why I'll take Mavs +4.5 @1.90 I know I said I'll skip until the Finals but I can't pass this up.
Many felt that the Wolves' win in Game 4 is a momentum shifter on the series already, but I might be wrong.

As per ESPN, Lively is still questionable for Game 5 and we know how impactful he is not only for this series, but for the whole playoffs. Doncic is questionable but we know that he will play - same with Conley. Anyway, betting on the Wolves on this one might be attractive knowing that it's their home, but the Wolves have a record of 3-4 on their home this playoff (lost twice on Denver, and Dallas both in Game's 1 & 2).

It's a small sample size though, but I always believe that whoever has a clutch player on their team wins, and with this one, I believe the Mavericks have it hence, they will win in Game 5 and will upset the Timberwolves on their own home. :D

Overall, he is really a patience dude, I mean people committed suicide or did bad things just because they lost a lot of money, and this dude on the live show says he doesn't regret that activity. BTW in his interview, he did not even mention he spent 50,000 BTC on 10 Pizza. Can you please share a source link to this fact, its really blowing my mind,
It's live. Of course, he will not say negative things in front of a camera. :)
I'm not saying that he really doesn't regret what he did more than a decade ago because there's a chance that he really doesn't, but at the backmost tip of his mind, there are times where he is questioning himself because of what he did at that time.

Yes, it became an iconic and unforgettable event, but that 10,000 Bitcoins that he had at that time can change his life and his family completely. He might not regret it, but there will be "what if's" coming to his mind not only today, but in the future.

It seems total prison time and fine he receive is far lighter than Sam, even though he had high position on FTX. Your opinion is greatly appreciated.
Well, if the authorities said that they will go after all of them, they really will go after all of them, eh?

This kind of action by the authorities might reduce the number of scam projects in cryptocurrency. I'm not pertaining to those new projects that turned out to be a scam because it will always happen no matter what. What I'm pertaining is those top old projects that have been in the top for years like FTX. I just hope that the authorities will continue to do things like this especially in a space where scams or bankruptcy can just happen any time.

As for the one who got caught, not familiar of his name, but I hope all of them will go to jail - including SBF's girlfriend. :D
