Cryptocurrency Trading / Limit or stop-limit order on Binance
« on: May 21, 2022, 10:26:38 PM »
Hi all!

I'm shorting a pair on Binance (spot). So far so good. I intend to let this go for a while.

I want to place a kind of stop-loss: if the price goes back to the price I bought, I want to sell (buy back my BUSD) .

I wonder if I use a Limit or a Stop-Limit order? It seems both are available.

Thanks!

Cryptocurrency Trading / Stop-loss - only in Futures?
« on: May 01, 2022, 03:53:09 PM »
Hi all!

I personally trade, but not in crypto so far.

A friend of mine asked me: are there stop-losses in crypto? After a search on the Web, I realize that we can use a stop-loss in Futures.

But for someone who is not a professional trader, and who would like to buy some crypto with a stop loss, is it possible? Does it exist?

Thanks!  :)

Cryptocurrency discussions / Trying to unbound Polkadot
« on: January 21, 2022, 01:27:18 AM »
Hi all!

I have no clue why the unbound is not working. Why is there the word FAILED? I don't understand the InsufficientBond explanation.

I'm doing this with Ledger.

Cryptocurrency discussions / AAVE unstaking issue (ETH fees)
« on: December 23, 2021, 08:52:17 PM »
Hi all!

I did the mistake of trying to stake AAVE on the AAVE plateform (I did crumbs in return).

Now, I'd like to get back my coins, but damn it, the ETH fees are huge, it's ridiculous. It's gonna cost me like 1/4 of what I have only to unstake (and I won't claim the ridiculous $18 I did with staking, because it would cost me more than that to claim it).

The fees seem to be more than when I do other transactions, I don't know if it's my imagination?

Is there any other way that I don't know?

I'd like to sell my AAVE, but the way it is now, I feel like I'm kind of forced to let this there.

Thank you!

Crypto Exchanges / Re: Use Solana Network to transfer USDT to Binance

In the meantime, I've learned about TRON network, which was perfect.

No fee on Huobi.

Crypto Exchanges / Use Solana Network to transfer USDT to Binance
« on: December 05, 2021, 08:16:17 PM »
Hi all!

I have some USDT on Huobi that I want to transfer to Binance.

The fee to use the ERC20 Network is huge. The other option is the Solana Network (zero fee), but I'm not sure of what I'm doing.

Will I simply receive my USDT to Binance without any complication?

Is there a bad side of using Solana that I'm not aware of?

Thanks!

Hi all!

I'm not sure that I understand everything (and I'd like to) about the relation between BTC and the rest of the market, and also about the ALT/BTC price fluctuation.

1. I understand that, if I have bought an ALT/BTC pair, when the price of BTC goes up, but the price of the ALT stays fundamentally the same, the ALT/BTC chart will adjust, and go down a bit. Normal: the BTC is worth more, but not the ALT.

My question: if the price of BTC goes down, but nobody sells that precise ALT (so the price of the ALT stays the same), the chart of the ALT/BTC would adjust and go up a little, right (I've never seen that, though)? I'm just following the opposite principle I just explained above.

2. Why when BTC goes down, all the market goes down? Is it simply because all the owners of the ALTs sell their coins? Or is there any other reason that I haven't understood?

Thanks a lot!

Cryptocurrency Trading / Market depth chart
« on: May 12, 2021, 10:43:28 PM »
Hi all!

I'm trying to figure out how I could use this knowledge to get better entries. I've watched some Youtube videos, but I don't feel I've understood everything.

How do you use this tool?

As an example, what do you think of that chart?

NFTs & Collectibles / The impact of Binance NFT launch?
« on: May 09, 2021, 05:27:18 PM »
Hi all!

I wonder if the coming launch of Binance NFT is gonna change something in the scenery that I would better know in advance?

I don't know much about the NFT world and I'd like to be aware of important points related to that launch (as Binance is a huge player), hoping some eventual benefits from that knowledge.

I regret that I didn't know in advance the launch of Binance Smart Chain (could have bought BNB coins, PancakeSwap tokens, etc.) and I want to be prepare now, if it applies.  :)

Thanks!

Edit: just watched a 2 week old video that discusses the potential move to crypto utilizing the GoChain platform (which I'm not even familiar with)

I've heard about GoChain yesterday (Ecomi is using that blockchain). It may be a good buy?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Have you heard about Earth2 project
« on: May 04, 2021, 05:38:35 PM »
Hi all!

Any thoughts about the Earth2 project?

It's not a cryptocurrency (correct me if I'm wrong), but it's on a blockchain.

It's another one more or less like Decentraland (I don't know much about Earth2 project), and it's suppose to use VR (which am not sure about Decentraland... I haven't found anything about this anyway).

I personally think that the first serious project in that field that will combine VR and a blockchain possibilities will become huge.

Just a quick word to say thanks to everybody!  :)

Hi all!

I thought about asking your opinion. As I already think about my exit strategy, I wonder how many altcoins I'll keep on the long run.

For instance, I know I'll keep some ETH (obvious), ADA, DOT and LINK.

But I wonder about those: INJ, KSM, OCEAN, EGLD, ATOM, ZIL SNX and AAE. I know they are all good projects, but I wonder if I should keep them all (or at least a part) on the long term?

Any thought?

Thanks!

Sorting Box / Re: Want to understand Market Cap/TVL Ratio
« on: March 26, 2021, 06:30:51 PM »
Thanks Zed0X!

So, "locked" means that? https://academy.binance.com/en/glossary/token-lockup

The owners cannot sell them in the moment?

Sorting Box / Want to understand Market Cap/TVL Ratio
« on: March 25, 2021, 10:39:20 PM »
Hi all!

I understand what is the Market Cap.

I'm having a hard time finding information about what precisely means the TVL Ratio.

CoinGecko info: Ratio of market capitalization over total value locked of this asset. A ratio of more than 1.0 refers to its market cap being greater than its total value locked.

Can anybody explain me what it means? I don't fully understand.
When it's over 1, for instance, it's a bad sign or what?

Another question: why on CoinGecko sometimes there's that information (Market Cap/TVL Ratio), and sometimes not?

Thanks a lot!
