Gambling discussion / Re: Whats your experience with gambling?

Last January I tried slot games which I played with my cousin when we went on a vacation in our province. We played at Bingo Plus, a local online casino where we can easily deposit money using our local wallet called Gcash. My cousin was able to win a decent amount, while I was left losing all my deposited money. This was not a deposit money that was done once, but multiple times as I tried to at least win in the long run. Because of that, I have decided to lie low for the meantime in gambling, since I was also busy last February, I was able to take a break from any gambling activities. After that, I tried again recently this March 2nd, I went to a physical casino with my cousins to play slot machines, unfortunately, I lost again.

I plan to take a break again from gambling, but a few days ago, I saw an opening slot for this online casino campaign, BC Game which was a campaign being promoted on this forum. To apply you have to have an ID number on their website. Since it is required, I created an account. I think to myself that since I already have an account, why not try playing to kill some time?

I deposited money worth 500PHP or $9, just to try the website if it will meet my criteria in online casinos. I expected to immediately lose the money I deposited as I knew that this amount of money would only make me eligible to play at slots or on games where there's only a small minimum amount to start playing.

Guess what, I was able to play card games where normally a game with a high minimum amount to stake. On this website, specifically Blackjack the minimum amount to bet is 1.00 Php or $0.02. Because of that low minimum amount to bet, I was able to play it and I unexpectedly won by multiplying my deposited money up to 10x even after losing so much in the past month. I was able to buy my dream guitar worth $200, of course, I added a few bucks to buy it. I stopped playing and withdrew the money, I don't want to continue to bet the amount of money I've won.

Due to these winnings, I might stay playing on this website a little longer. I feel like my luck hasn't run out yet.
This is the story I posted in another forum last March, my experience in gambling since the start of the year. I said that I felt lucky that I might play a little longer, but guess what, after I withdrew the money, I had a continuous loss. But the thing is, I stopped immediately and didn't dare to deposit again to chase my losses. That happened this April, I have a consecutive loss by now. April is not a good month for me, and I decided to take a break in the meantime. This month, I am thinking of playing again, hopefully, my luck is with me again.

Your story is quite inspiring it really shows that with a bit of luck and responsible management one can enjoy gambling without letting it overrun their life. Best of luck if you decide to play again, hopefully your luck aligns with your enthusiasm and May turns out to be a fantastic month for you  8)

Online casino gambling is a fun. I used to gamble a lot a few years back. Although I would gamble often, I was not a professional gambler. I was just a casual player. At that time I had a decent amount of assets. I lost all in  online casino gambling.

Well I say something, we as people know that as long as there is health and life everything is possible, material things are recovered, money, material things are always Something that can be recovered , so given that you were a person who could not handle things well of the game and it is necessary that now you see things differently, with an experience like this you must have learned a lot, many things and already mature knowledge that can make you a better player now, with incredible control, we sometimes learn But it is with the blows of life, with bad experiences, that helps us to have lessons, currently you must be more aware of how to place Sports bets, it is Something that you are already very clear that you should not do.

Losing those assets was tough but you’re right, as long as we’re healthy and alive there’s always a chance to rebuild and recover what’s been lost.
Your words are really very encouraging. I like how you framed it, that with the lessons learned you can approach gambling or any risky decision with much more caution and control now. Hope author=emmybd taking those knocks and turning them into wisdom for better decisions in the future.

Last day was memorable for me. I play casino. And after big loss when my fund near about zero then suddenly i get a big jackpot and i return get all my fund and also i profit near about double. This casino game was 9 coin game and last time i received a jackpot and a gold coin which was 9x.

So i think it was very interesting for me. I think gambling is some times profitable but control emotion and Blood pressure is very difficult to control. So we should very careful when we will gamble.

your experience truly sounds thrilling! It’s clear that casino games like the 9 coin game you mentioned can bring unexpected joy with their surprises. But I also agree with you on the challenges of gambling—maintaining emotional control and keeping a check on one's excitement are indeed crucial. We must tread carefully in the world of gambling, enjoying the highs while being mindful of the risks.

I think like you, many enter these games for enjoyment not as professionals but as casual players looking to experience the excitement. But your experiences definitely highlight how it can be a rollercoaster.
So your story is really important to remember to always play responsibly. And let's keep enjoying the game but also keep an eye on the stakes  ;)

Early experience with gambling was bad but current experience is very good. At the time when the experience was very bad, I used to gamble only to lose but now the winnings are more than the losses due to which the gambling experience is better now. Earlier, I did not use my skills in gambling, but now I use my skills in gambling, that's why the result of gambling is more in favor than against. Those who are not having a good time gambling can take a break and find out their mistakes and then try gambling hopefully they will have success like I did.

thats really nice that you've turned your gambling experiences from negative to positive! It's always inspiring to see someone apply their skills effectively and see real improvements. What strategies helped you in making this shift?

I'm just the type of gambler who tries and usually gambles just for entertainment when boredom strikes, and I don't have time to leave the house looking for entertainment, I don't get any big wins but I limit my funds for gambling because I know I never win large amounts

That's indeed a wise strategy, especially for those who don't have a lot of time. Staying within your limits always helps. However, I also want to wish you more surprise wins 8)

Everyone who is a gambler has experienced various aspects of gambling in their gambling life. A common experience there is loss. No gambler can be found who has gambled but not lost big. But there are gamblers who have big wins despite big losses. Here not only does a gambler have money but he has to have enough power to control himself. If you can take a break from gambling if you need to or stay away from addiction, then gambling certainly won't have any major negative effects. I don't have any big gambling wins but the number of losses is very high. But I still love gambling. Because it can give me pleasure.

As long as it doesnt negatively impact your life and you’re managing your finances responsibly it sounds like you’re in the right way.

I also classify myself as an occasional player, sometimes I play once a week, twice a week, sometimes I can't play, things vary, for me in particular I have always said something, when the opportunities I have I have to play with my work time, I don't play, what I do is work, so for me that is more important, I have also had many losses and gains, but in general I think I have had more losses than gains, but the game has taught me to accept many things about the casino, the first thing I learned was the house advantage, second the acceptance when you lose, the fact of assuming the loss, and third when I win some money I immediately withdraw it .

That's a very balanced approach to gambling and definitely some good tips! It's great to hear how you smartly prioritize work and responsibly handle your gaming.  May your good experiences continue

This is an interesting topic of discussion as it hovers around ones gambling life and experience. Of a truth each and every one individual have a story to tell as a gambler maybe their early gambling days, their major breakthrough in gambling and worst moments in gambling. All of them are still alright and fun to hear.

I personally have my own experience but I will just say a brief of my early days. I remember as far back as my early life, I was watching championship finals when I had a live physical bet with my friend. I placed my bet in favour of AC Milan and it happened that they won the champions league and I was very happy when I received my money and that was my first bet ever. It was a positive one though. That was my first betting experience and you that feelings that comes with such experience and excitement for the first time.

Very cool story! I personally love success stories, they are always inspiring and interesting. I can just imagine how happy you must have been then. It's always thrilling to hear about those first big wins. Thanks for sharing and wish you more exciting wins in the future!

Well I do have an experience, an experience I can never forget, I can say that, that experience changed my perspective and view of gambling.

There was a time I made a very significant win in a single spin of a slot machine, I mean very significant win. But rather than walking away with my win, I felt that might just be my lucky day and I could win even more if I kept on trying ( biggest mistake).

I went on spinning and spinning until I lost half of my winnings, I became very desperate to recover the loss, rather than just walking away with what's left, which led me to loss chasing, of course we all know how the story normally ends, I lost everything, including an extra of my money.

I was so devastated that I first decided never to gamble ever again, but along the line, I figured out that it wasn't the slot machine but me, I was the reason I lost everything and then I stopped chasing losses, if I hit my gambling limit, I take a walk and since then, I've not had any problems with gambling.

wow, your story is practically a textbook example of what not to do when gambling. You managed to break almost all the main rules, huh? :)
We all feel greedy from time to time but it seems greed played a tricky role in your case. It’s cool that you were able to quickly get a handle on yourself. These are really valuable life lessons proven effective through personal experience. Thanks for sharing your story!

My experience is on sport betting and I will also want you or people around here to have this corrections otherwise it will affect them entirely, this happened when a developed interest to start gambling when I began to read some gambling post over the other forum and I felt is a cool to get oneself involved in gambling. Although I never had or even have a bad experience but is a mistakes that needs to be corrected because we as a gambler we felt that our games or predictions are always correct without knowing that gambling is just a game of luck, any one can win or lose at any smallest chances.

So, when you booked and select games along the line if those games are running and you have just one game left to close the match, you can cashout because you don't know what would happened the next moment and the game plays against you and automatically you lose. If one can take the risk and cash out or possibly while placing bet you can s/he can have those games placed in two places and if the game keeps running and you are suspecting any fowl play against your game you may decide to cashout with the first one and then allow the second ticket to keep running.

Im personally not so betting player but it was interesting to learn something new for me. It’s seems smart to have strategies like cashing out early or spreading bets across multiple tickets. And its sounds like cautious optimism. Thanks for sharing these insights. Sure it can really help those new to the scene or maybe looking to refine their betting tactics.

Hi everyone!

Here, I invite you to share personal stories about your gambling journey — whether you've had big wins, faced losses or just dabble occasionally for fun.
Or maybe you have strange gambling habits  :D

Whether you're a seasoned gambler or a casual player, your experiences are interesting.

While I was playing the Demo Blackjack game in my phone with some demo funds funded in my wallet, it was some kind of funs but I observed some illicitment that  may earns me bad of I should bring it into my reality gambling with real funds.

While playing the game, I observed that of I stake with little amounts, I looses to the computer but if I stakes with a huge amount I usually wins and I could visually see how much huge amount I have accumulated from my winnings.
Therein, I had to have that thought that I wish I could win this much in a real life gambling.

I actually brought this up here because of I have not been myself, I would had taken that inspirations to go gambling with amounts of money which I may not be affordable to loose because I am sure that I would not win that much easier as it was in the Demo.
So far so bad I think this is also how some gamblers are inspired to irresponsible gambling of what is not affordable to loose all because of chasing huger profits.

to be honest, I dont clearly understand why so many people agreed that demo games can motivate irresponsible gambling. I think its important to recognize that the foundation of someones responsibility is largely built during adolescence, influenced significantly by their upbringing. Thus, if someone exhibits irresponsible gambling behavior its likely a reflection of a broader pattern of irresponsibility in their life. Gambling just can makes it more visible.
So demo games are in essence educational tools. They're designed to introduce the rules and strategies of the games without financial risks. For responsible people these demos are a great way to  practice.

Of course, there is a real difference between those who win at gambling but whose finances are already fulfilled. They will not stop because they are doing it for entertainment. Remember they are doing it because they are sure it will not make them poor. But it's different from those who win from gambling, but from those who don't have enough finances. You are right, if they win and don't stop, then everything they get will be drained again, even with they possessions.
Exactly, everyone's economic conditions will of course be different. For those who have earned a lot of money easily, they will gamble peacefully without having to think about their money, because tomorrow they will get money again without having to do tiring work. As long as we can control the expenses we use to place bets at gambling venues, our financial condition will remain safe.

true point. Rich people often view gambling as a form of entertainment rather than a financial necessity. When they win, its likely they’ll reinvest in the game, not out of addiction but as a way to extend the fun. For poor gambling might seem like a quick route to wealth. However, if they win, they might choose to stop and secure their gains, aligning with their initial goal of improving their financial situation.

I was just contemplating on this lately and I was like maybe it should be online casino since it's easily accessible anywhere we find ourselves with internet.

Now this was what I was contemplating on; between online casinos/gambling sites and on-land casinos which among the two do you think has made more gambling addicts than the other and why?

from one side, online casinos offer opportunities for responsible entertainment and can be a fun, engaging way to pass time, especially for those who are mindful of their habits and can manage their time and finances well. but ofcourse, online casinos might also contribute more to gambling addiction due to their accessibility and convenience. On land casinos, while also addictive, require a physical presence, which might naturally limit the frequency of gambling sessions for some people. Plus, the very act of planning a trip to a casino could serve as a barrier that might prevent spontaneous gambling decisions

Gambling discussion / Re: Do you tell your husband you gamble?
« on: April 23, 2024, 12:59:37 AM »
I don't think need to tell your husband when use your own fund for gambling, but if you use your husband fund better need transparent and ask their allowing agree or not with your hobbies is gambling.
If your husband money not stable better not try with gambling and prefer for your daily needed, I think every wife and husband need transparent each other about financial condition and what for money spending, if you use for gambling talk them and ask is allow or not depend you don't have good financial condition and still deposit using your husband fund.

You're absolutely right about the importance of transparency between spouses, especially regarding finances. However, I believe the terminology of 'allowed or not allowed' might not be the most constructive way to frame the conversation. It’s more about mutual understanding and respect. Both partners should be aware of each other’s hobbies and agree on how they manage their finances, regardless of whose money is involved. If gambling is approached responsibly and doesn't compromise financial stability or well-being, it should be treated like any other form of entertainment. Open dialogue about these topics can help ensure that both partners feel comfortable and respected in their shared financial life.

Gambling & Crypto Casinos / Re: Have some fun, make more money
« on: April 23, 2024, 12:49:16 AM »
Absolutely, making money can come with fun!
It's a nice example that passion and profit can go hand in hand. Whether it's betting on your favorite team as a show of support or just enjoying a game you're good at, the thrill of the game can indeed lead to some extra bucks.
The fun is different after you support your favorite team and earn extra by betting on that team. I always bet on my favorite team in the big matches of the tournament, so that extra thrill works in me which I enjoy immensely. But yes my favorite team doesn't win all the time, and when my favorite team loses the match more frustration works, because with my favorite team losing I also lose my bet thereby losing money. So emotions work both ways here.
Even without betting, when our favorite team wins a match it will make us happy, and conversely, when our favorite team loses, we will feel disappointed at that moment. Moreover, if we bet at the same time it will give us an additional feeling when we win or lose.

For me, when I bet on a match for my favorite team, winning money is a bonus, because I am satisfied with the winning results that I see from my team.

your real reward is the joy and satisfaction from seeing your favorite team win. Personally, I find that approach really admirable it keeps the fun in sports and uses betting as just a bit of extra spice, rather than the main ingredient.

I have also never experienced or there was someone among someone I know that they had any problems with payments withdrawals from casinos. Not with online, nor with offline. Even during "wild 90s" such stories passed by everyone I know. What I heard only were stories when someone got kicked from offline casino after winning big, which turned to be being kicked due to being drunk and not winning anything at all. At it was more like an excuse for others. Or a stories from newbies that either violated ToS, or tried to cheat, so casinos were forced to refuse to pay winnings.
Just like you, I have never experienced it and I think as long as we play in a place that has a high reputation and we obey the rules that apply at that casino, then we will never experience that, such as being refused payment and so on.

Because for me there must be a reason for the casinos to refuse payments from their users. I'm not sure if a reputable casino will simply refuse payment without any particular reason.

I think casinos dont necessary must be a highly reputable. Any casino pay winnings, as long as this casino does not look like a completely scam that was created in few hours only to steal gamblers deposits. I think that a person himself must put enough effort (and I would stress on "enough effort", as in a fight for a customer, casinos close eyes on little rules violations gamblers make) to get asked for kyc, find shady casino or have his withdrawals frozen.

It’s crucial for gamblers to remain vigilant and informed about the places where they choose to play. While it’s true that many casinos will overlook minor infractions in the spirit of customer retention, this doesn’t eliminate the risk of encountering issues with withdrawals or other disputes. The onus is on the player to ensure they are engaging with a reputable establishment and to be aware of the terms of service and the legal framework within which the casino operates.

And its not only seek casinos with good reputations, for example, brand new casinos can indeed be trustworthy and offer excellent service. Many new establishments enter the market aiming to build a strong reputation through transparency, customer service, and compliance with regulations. They often adopt the latest technologies for security and gaming fairness to attract and retain customers.

However, the caution with newer casinos lies in their lack of an established track record. This doesn’t automatically imply they are untrustworthy, but it does mean that players should be particularly diligent. It’s advisable for players to look into any new casino’s licensing details, owner information, customer reviews, and their adherence to industry standards before committing significant amounts of money.

Gambling discussion / Re: The Madness of Gambling Addicts.
« on: April 21, 2024, 07:07:00 PM »
One of the danger of gambling, it's mislead the young youth, it's create enemity between two friends at times Young addicted gambler do steal money to stake just to satisfy their needs all in name of making money after win some of them abuse money by clubbing at teenage age lodge in hotel rooms and many more some do visit fortune teller just to become famous in gambling, the side effects of visiting fortune teller might lead them to sacrifice their love ones which might be their own biological parents or siblings

Absolutely, you bring up some serious concerns about the consequences of gambling, especially for the youth. However, it's important to remember that gambling itself isn't inherently bad but can reveal underlying issues in a person's approach to decision making and self control. These situations often act as a wake up call, showing that there might be deeper psychological factors at play. Addressing these underlying issues can lead to healthier behaviors not only in gambling but in all aspects of life. It's about understanding and managing one's behaviors and impulses in a constructive way.

Me personally, I didn't experience any withheld winnings because... I lose all the time so what will I withdraw?  ;D ;D

Kidding aside, I didn't experience any problems when I'm withdrawing my earnings back when I'm still gambling. On the other hand, I've seen many reports in Bitcointalk about users who can't withdraw their money for various reasons. Most of the time, it's the user who has a problem because they are violating the TOS or they are using multiple accounts IIRC. I don't know if all of that are true knowing that they have the control over the gambler's funds though.

That's a good question, and honestly, it's a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to online casinos. Like you mentioned a lot of the issues around not being able to withdraw winnings do come down to not following the Terms of Service or trying to game the system with multiple accounts.
I've personally had a pretty smooth experience with withdrawals whenever I've been lucky enough to win. I make sure to choose reputable casinos with good reviews and clear withdrawal policies. It pays to do a little homework before diving in.
