We cannot really put a tag to them saying they are making stupid decision. As every crypto user have their own reasons to buy or sell the crypto coins he is holding at the moment. For example if someone sell top 10 crypto coins is to pay for emergency medical bills does that mean he is making a stupid decision? I will label those that just buy or sell with no strategy in mind making stupid decision, but in the end we should not judge any buyer or seller without knowing the reason.

Yes long term investment in cryptocurrencies is needed to getting large of money, couples years ago i have made stupid desicions will selling all of my ethereum around 150 ETH in $3 and we know how much the ethereum's price now, but right now i have made investment in some alternative coins for long term, i don't want make same mistake again in the future.

There can be many reasons for people selling their holdings at the current market rates. If I needed the money I would sell too, although I am hoping I won't have to. One of the many reasons why you shouldn't invest more money than you can afford to lose, should always have enough for a 'rainy day'. Another reason could be that they are betting on further market drops and are looking to get back in at a lower price, that would be my plan anyway, as can see the market taking longer than expected to rebound. To be honest I sell crypto when I need the money. To me only money that is not needed should stay in crypto. If I decided to keep that money as savings, I wouldn't panic and convert to cash savings, esspecially if I'm down. Savings are savings, they are not needed, they are extra to save and grow, I would just buy more if the market is down with more savings. But even with savings if it's a lot of money I think I would just keep it in cash, and buy small amounts of crypto over time.

In 2017-2018, after a significant rise in prices in the cryptocurrency market, those who did not sell their tokens could no longer do so later, since a significant part of them did not survive after the long bearish period of 2018-2019. I think holding is more profitable than selling in Fomo , instead what i do is i only sell the coin when i am confirm that i have got more than enough of my investment , at that point i exit , and make enter again when coin is dumping, making lot of profits :)

I don’t think it’s a stupid decision to sell crypto. It all depends on the project and what you intend on achieving. It’s not a bad idea to sell top 10 projects because most of them will give difficulty in giving the profit one needs. That’s why these days, I focus more on the future, I focus more on metaverse projects because they are the future. I have been able to see some potential metaverse projects like arcade2earn which i got to fall in love with because of its superb setup. I think we should focus on projects that will give us required profit and when it doesn’t, selling isn’t totally a bad idea

I think it all depends on each user's need for money, but I agree with you. It is one thing to hold out for the long term and another to never sell, at some point we must have profits, otherwise none of this would make sense. I also think that depending on which coin/token it is sometimes better to "forget" them and see what happens later. But as I said, everything depends on the personal circumstances of each one, we cannot generalize in something like that.

If you never sell your coins/tokens, or part of it, you will never make a profit, I think it comes down to having a percentage for everything when it comes to cryptocurrencies and FIAT, we all need money to live. Holding our cryptocurrencies for many years, letting a bull run go by is not good either, we may need the money during a bear market and that would get us into trouble. That's why I always think it's better to have an open mind when we have good opportunities.

That is a decision that only you should make. Sometimes the best we can do is do nothing, especially when we're not sure when values will stop falling. Personally I just watch the market, I haven't sold anything and I don't think I will. Everyone will tell you that the fund is at different prices, that's why I never hear someone "totally sure" of something that nobody can know, I prefer to wait and continue looking for projects that really innovate in the industry, those are the ones that have a future.

After seeing todays huge dump people scared and feared about crypto, bitcoin made new 52 week low of 20950$ and recovered a little and trading above 22400$. Bitcoin corrected over 70% from its 52 week high of 68789$, and not only bitcoin all coins dumped almost over 80% from its 52 week highs. So I think its stupid decision to sell your crypto at very cheap and lower levels rather that to hold it. Even thought market corrected continuously a lot from last few days I will do buying good coins in parts, because its full chance of good bounce bank from this level.

selling coins at low prices is not a good way but you have to know that sometimes everyone is in need of money to buy their interests so they are forced to sell their assets at low prices. unless you are not in need of money then it is better not to sell it at a cheap price.

But for me, it depends on many factors and circumstances if we choose to sell them or not. Every cryptocurrency has a different roadmap and it changes from time to time, so we might not know what will happen next in the price movement. We just have to be ready for it though.

Especially with ALGO, sol, atom and ETH I felt this way. You have to stick to the plan and don’t let the FUD/losses distract you. The whales want all our bags for cheap!

I don't think it is a stupid decision to sell your cryptocurrencies. Everyone has a reason for doing what they feel like doing. It is all depending on your strategies, some people do long-term investments and some do short-term investments. Like me, I do both long and short-term investments. There are some assets or long and short-term investments.

We must know one thing every trader's situation is different every trader is not financially sound so keeping this in mind we can expect whenever one has liabilities he/she will sell to get money and we will not say it's a stupid decision. All traders have different goals to hold so it's not stupid to sell whenever they want.

It may be stupid. Remember Luna. It was top 10, nay, top 5 coin before the legendary crash. And it never recovered, even after much endeavors by De Kwoon. So yes, selling up a top 10 coin or token may be an astute business decision, reign in your loss, and move on. EOS, XLM were top 10 coins but lost their relevance

I really didnt got the question but selling cryptocurrencies if you are making a huge profit is good. But holding it for a long term isnt the good idea as far as i know. Some of the cryptos dont perform well at all.

It is not a stupid decision if you are in profit and have a plan to buy again at a low price. If you are selling in a dip in panic then it is a stupid decision, but again it depends on the situation if you need money for other work or you have found another good coin to invest then it is not a stupid decision.
