I rarely apply fundamental or technical analysis to the price movements of Altcoins. My strategy is simple:
- DCA BTC 1 year before BTC halving
- DCA tops ALT immediately after Halving, lasting for 12 months
- Analyze and predict BTC price fluctuations at 12 to 18 months after halving
- Sell BTC and Altcoins as soon as there is a signal of a reversal from increase to decrease in BTC
Top coins like BTC, ETH, XRP, ADA, AVAX, DOT, ATOM... are all in my watchlist.

When i saw your post i thought you meant future trading.The reply above has named quite a few. History tend to usually repeat itself and check are various altcoins performed during the previous bull run. You can still add AI coin since they usually perform well when Bitcoin recover or pumps. Top 10 coins are the safest, outside it i would add RNDR and if you one that enjoy risk you can add a meme coin to the portfolio. Diversify your investment, all may pump but some would do better than others. If you looking for a single then Eth is the best bet with closer assurity than other altcoins.

very true, I agree with what you said... that all altcoins are actually all good, it's just that sometimes altcoins fail depending on the efforts of the project team, if the team tries hard to develop the project maybe it could become a famous project in the future... So there are a lot of good altcoins to invest in now, but my advice is to choose and correct the coin you are going to invest in so that you don't lose money.

The top altcoin of the future is, of course, Ethereum.
I have no plans to buy any altcoin even though it is the current trend, I know how when bullishness comes it affects the performance of altcoins in the market especially new projects which can increase thousands of percent but behind that of course there is a risk that not all altcoins become successful and there is always failure if you choose the wrong altcoin.
I prefer bitcoin as the main portfolio in the bag, this will continue to accumulate until the price is really high.

I think the coins that are going to be successful are the ones that are currently successful, which means I don't think there will be much change at the top of the list. Of course, Bitcoin (with the recent ETF and the upcoming halving) and Ethereum as a smart contract platform will be in first and second position respectively.
BNB has felt the weight of the recent Binance fine, but remains largely untouched. It seems that Ripple and the SEC will be friends from now on or at least not enemies. SOL, ADA, and AVAX may have to fight to stay, but they could swap positions. I don't think it's necessary to say anything about stablecoins.

The top coins of the future are those in the Coinmarketcap 10 that will definitely be the top coins.
If I choose which altcoin, I will choose ETH and SOL because they have strong fundamentals in the coin market mentioned. I also predict they can exceed the previous ATH but now is not the time because the bullishness has not yet arrived.
If it's a meme coin then Doge is one of them, this is also the coin at the top of the list of other memes.

Although I agree with you about the top 10, there is always the possibility of going a little further. New projects constantly appear, and although we know that a large percentage are worthless and do not contribute anything new to the industry, it is possible that some of them are really good. I personally visit Coinmarketcap and Coingecko almost daily in search of new projects and try to find one worthwhile. It's not easy because I have to remove a lot of garbage, but I don't like to stay stuck in the top 10 nor things already established for a long time.

The strategies you gave are post-halving strategies, more like a plan of a year or more after the halving and can't be done now unless the person is looking forward to what is going to happen after the halving since bullrun takes place after the Bitcoin halving but it will be dangerous because nothing is really guaranteed after the halving which is why you should buy coins before halving just to be safe and have money diversify into this coins before the runoff season.
If it was when Binance used to do IEO, I would have suggested that he should keep an eye on those crowdfunding, and invest on those listed coins since they have potential and more growth is likely to come but they are under some law enforcement scrutiny and can't do anything now, so it is left for him to check some non-initial offering coins and do more research on them and invest on them but generally, all coins are risky and I will love to see him avoid anything related to privacy coins because of the hunt down on them.

For me, I think the best future-proof coins or tokens are the top 10 occupants in the coinmarketcap. These coins usually stand the test of time. However, having said that, some the occupants have dropped out of there. These include coins like Tron, Stellar, EOS, BitcoinCash etc

I think Ethereum, BNB, Matic, Monero and ADA has great potential in the future. I know most of us like to have these coins because of it's use and contribution in the Altcoin industry.

There are a lots of good altcoins which are suppose to be have good Future. Eth comes first among those. Nobody knows how much eth will grow, someone predict it could cross more than $10k within 2025. I'm not sure but this coin could be huge. And then bnb, i believe everything is in its favor, so it'll go higher. Solana already skyrocket and some people describe it as "eth killer". Although i doubt it but no doubt, solana will shine within 2024. Matic, arbitrum both are my favorite. You can check

Well, there are many altcoins out there in the market that have been persistent and have not really become shitcoins, but one thing that anybody cannot really be certain about is whether the coin or token can actually pump in this coming bull market or in the future. We all know how Tera Luna disappointed many investors and even made some people go bankrupt. The only altcoins I can still vauch for now are those that are still well established, like etherium, BNB, and matic. I am also optimistic that dogecion will surely pump, but I don't know when. If I have some spare cash, I can consider investing in the few that I listed.

So, it is about Altcoins right? Because Bitcoin wil be always number one investment. After having Bitcoin, then we think about what altcoins. It seems like my choice of altcoins for future investment is much the same as some of the members here. Of course, I will definitely choose top coins to reduce the existing risks. because basically I'm not a high-risk taker. So I would prefer top coins even though the possibility of the increase may not be as high as many times the hype coins. I like eth, ada, xrp, and also SOL. but unfortunately I also have a lot of altcoins that will either be worthy or not in my wallet later.

Sharing too many assets in many altcoins is also not always good. For altcoins, it is better to only have a few that have good potential to provide profits. BNB and SOL are very sufficient because both have platforms that are widely used by people and are currently trending, so they will be profitable for those who are able to hold these two altcoins.

As long as the coin has a limited supply and has very high demand on exchanges, it will provide a high selling value and will continue to survive in the future, as is the case with Bitcoin price movements. However, on the contrary, when the coins owned are not good and the supply is too much, then the future of the coin will not be guaranteed.

Funny you didn't mention this upcoming hot protegy @solana, although it's from my own perspective but I think Solana has great opportunity and potential to blow up come this bull season that's approaching. When it comes to altcoins selection one needs to be extremely careful not to get involved in the thousands of shitcoin out there calling themselves coins that are worth buying. For me I don't think even if I have spare cash I would purchase dogecoin instead I would rather go for another coins because dogecoin has been lacking capability of pushing forward for some time now and it would be the perfect trap for investor come this bull run.

The year 2024 will be a profitable year for altcoin but that will depend on how bitcoin soar in price this year. If bitcoin could skyrocket in price as expected of it, hopefully all top coins "1-100" will all be profitable in price. Although the profitable coins that I have on my watch list are: Eth, Sui, Arb, Matic, Bnb, XRP, and Polkadot.
Hodling and trading them by 2025 will not be a wrong idea because that will be when bitcoin will be giving us a new ATH, and almost all the altcoins will skyrocket more than expected as a result of that.

The answer is very simple - better is the coin that will bring more profit ! :)
But the main question - how to determine which of them is better - it is the most difficult.
For example - take a period of time: September 2023 to December2024. And take the most expensive currency, and not the most expensive ...
September 2023:
Bitcoin: ~27,000 Dollars.
Avalanche: ~10 Dollars.
December 2023:
Bitcoin: ~46,000 Dollars
Avalanche: ~42 Dollars
Total x1.7 and x4.2.
Although the dollar is "digital gold".....

There are variety of factors, including your goal while investing and risk involved. Well if you are looking for a coin to hold for a long term investment I will recommend ethereum.this is the largest and most establish coins, and have a strong developer community behind them. Do you have a specific coin in your mind?

Bitcoin is considered to be the best coin both now and in the future. But, aside from Bitcoin, I see a lot of promise for this currency in the future, even if it currently has a large market capitalization. And that is Solana; if you recall, the initial price of Solana in its launched day was around $1 per coin, and it has now risen to $129, indicating a massive pump. - I see a lot of cryptos these days that really have the potential to provide a good future in terms of huge profits that we can see in the market, like CMC and Coingecko, to be honest. That's why I don't have enough money to buy them all because I'm not a rich person.
So what I think is possible is if it is accumulated before the rally actually starts in bitcoin, because we know that when bitcoin rallies quickly, many altcoins and meme coins will also follow bitcoin's entry into the market.

I can only consider Ethereum among altcoins as the best coin for the future. Because if you can buy an Ethereum and invest right now, you can earn a lot of profit in the next bull market. I don't trust any other currency except ethereum I can only trust ethereum the most after bitcoin. I started the long journey by buying an Ethereum because I have the highest faith. I will not sell my Ethereum until new ATH of Ethereum is created in the market. It is expected that when the upcoming bull run in the Bitcoin market begins and Bitcoin reaches $100,000, Ethereum may reach $10,000 there. Even if it doesn't reach I won't recommend anyone to invest in unique coin I will definitely recommend on Ethereum if I do.

There is no alternative to Bitcoin in the crypto market. Currently, almost all coins increase in price, but not all coins are strong. When it comes to altcoins in the market, there is no better project than Ethereum. But if we put it in sequence then we can consider Solna as a good one. Sol will definitely make a good position in the next few days. Also XRP is good but a lot depends on them winning the SEC cases. Again, Binance Coin is also good, but due to the restriction, they have temporarily faced various complications. This coin will make a good position as an altcoin in the long run. For 2024 we may be able to see a good pump in Ethereum.

In the future, is it in 2 years or 4 years? I asking this because some of the altcoins that were on top of the CMC years back are no longer there. That's to say, we can't say what price a coin would remain or be in the future because the crypto market is full of uncertainties and the altcoin investment is good for short term profits, not long term. Whatever we see from it, we take it like that since we are dealing with altcoins not on bitcoin.

For some other altcoins, this may be quite tricky to pick them. There are so many altcoins, umm, many top altcoins.
And they are all also having its pros and cons.
But, here are my top lists after Ethereum:

Altcoins are indeed very good for growing the Bitcoin assets that we have because trading is available in BTC pairs so that in this way we can increase the value of the Bitcoin that we have.
BNB and Solana seem good for trading futures, but before trading futures, you should be able to find the right position to open a future order.

Having a good plan here in the crypto space is a good thing to help us so that we can also get a good profit in the future. And a plan can really help a lot. But no one here can say which cryptocurrency will be good in the future except for Bitcoin, of course, and Ethereum.
Now, for me as well, no one can say which crypto is the best for the future; that depends on our research on how to do it. It's hard to just trust what others say because you might even blame him. Bitcoin and Ethereum are the best coins for holding a long time. If you want to have a long term holding for future, only choose these 2 coins only. I see these coins are always in the 1st and 2nd place in CMC or Coingecko. We don't need to worry with BTC and ETH because they are the king and queen of crypto coins.

Without going into much detail, definitely AIRT coin takes that place, APY is abnormally high this year, investments are huge, the price will return to the previous high this year where only big profits are expected if you start buying early.
