I rarely apply fundamental or technical analysis to the price movements of Altcoins. My strategy is simple:

• DCA BTC 1 year before BTC halving
• DCA tops ALT immediately after Halving, lasting for 12 months
• Analyze and predict BTC price fluctuations at 12 to 18 months after halving
• Sell BTC and Altcoins as soon as there is a signal of a reversal from increase to decrease in BTC

Top coins like BTC, ETH, XRP, ADA, AVAX, DOT, ATOM... are all in my watchlist.

History tend to usually repeat itself and check are various altcoins performed during the previous bull run. You can still add AI coin since they usually perform well when Bitcoin recover or pumps. Top 10 coins are the safest, outside it i would add RNDR and if you one that enjoy risk you can add a meme coin to the portfolio. Diversify your investment, all may pump but some would do better than others. If you looking for a single then Eth is the best bet with closer assurity than other altcoins.

very true, I agree with what you said... that all altcoins are actually all good, it's just that sometimes altcoins fail depending on the efforts of the project team, if the team tries hard to develop the project maybe it could become a famous project in the future... I think the coins that are going to be successful are the ones that are currently successful, which means I don't think there will be much change at the top of the list. If I choose which altcoin, I will choose ETH and SOL because they have strong fundamentals in the coin market mentioned. I also predict they can exceed the previous ATH but now is not the time because the bullishness has not yet arrived.
If it's a meme coin then Doge is one of them, this is also the coin at the top of the list of other memes.

Although I agree with you about the top 10, there is always the possibility of going a little further. New projects constantly appear, and although we know that a large percentage are worthless and do not contribute anything new to the industry, it is possible that some of them are really good. I personally visit Coinmarketcap and Coingecko almost daily in search of new projects and try to find one worthwhile. The strategies you gave are post-halving strategies, more like a plan of a year or more after the halving and can't be done now unless the person is looking forward to what is going to happen after the halving since bullrun takes place after the Bitcoin halving but it will be dangerous because nothing is really guaranteed after the halving which is why you should buy coins before halving just to be safe and have money diversify into this coins before the runoff season.

If it was when Binance used to do IEO, I would have suggested that he should keep an eye on those crowdfunding, and invest on those listed coins since they have potential and more growth is likely to come but they are under some law enforcement scrutiny and can't do anything now, so it is left for him to check some non-initial offering coins and do more research on them and invest on them but generally, all coins are risky and I will love to see him avoid anything related to privacy coins because of the hunt down on them.

For me, I think the best future-proof coins or tokens are the top 10 occupants in the coinmarketcap. These coins usually stand the test of time. However, having said that, some the occupants have dropped out of there. These include coins like Tron, Stellar, EOS, BitcoinCash etc
