IOTA token holders will be able to start using their tokens for staking with the launch of Shimmer.
A token with the code $SMR will be issued to encourage testing on the Shimmer network. (Stake your MIOTA to get free $SMR tokens. ) Token holders will be able to earn a minimum return of 8% per year. Staking has now become an indispensable topic for some projects. It is good that satking is starting for IOTA as well.

WOW, great news, I have MIOTA on Binance. Hopefully Binance will support this feature and I will have more SMR tokens for the future. I always follow the development of IOTA, I believe it is blockchain 4.0.

Currently Binance still does not support MIOTA staking, I can only put MIOTA in saving instead of staking. Hopefully Binance will soon support the new IOTA staking feature, which will be a big impetus to reduce the selling pressure in the market and support MIOTA price.

Is this Shimmer platform trusted and has a good reputation? I would consider staking IOTA if the security there is very good. btw what is the minimum for staking?
