Solana (SOL), the native cryptocurrency of the Solana blockchain, has surpassed Ripple-affiliated XRP by market capitalization, according to data provided by coin ranking site CoinMarketCap.
The high-flying coin is currently valued at $53 billion after a stunning rally, climbing to sixth place.

SOL is now up an astonishing 8,429% year-to-date. Despite the recent market sell-off, the cryptocurrency is up another 6% today.

XRP, on the other hand, is one of the very few major cryptocurrencies that failed to log a new all-time high during this bull run.
With a sword of Damocles hanging over it, XRP is still down 67% from its January peak of $3.40.
As reported by no link shorteningday, XRP left CoinMarketCap's top five for the first time since 2014 this February.

It is truly extraordinary that Solana was able to defeat the dominance of Ripple and at that time passed easily and this proves that Solana is a coin that is worthy of being compared with Ethereum and Binance.
It looks like it's really worth it because Ethereum, Binance, Solana, Fantom and Matic really really need to be invested because they have a mart contract system that allows them to be like Ethereum.

Ripple can still be chased by all cryptocurrencies because the Ripple market seems to only follow Ethereum and Bitcoin, it seems the effect of the centralization of the Ripple coin designed by Jedd McCalleb.
I don't think that Ripple is a bad coin but at least this proves that Solana is a good coin and can be a competitor to Ripple.

Yeaahh, this is what I've been waiting for from Solana!
I expect something very good for all altcoins to beat Ripple because Ripple is really a coin full of drama in the cryptocurrency market.
I really support Solana to be able to overtake Ripple because I am very tired of watching Ripple trade and I prefer to support Solana who is full of innovation.

It is very surprising for Solana's coin to be this strong until this moment because Solana provides very strong information on the various developments of the coin that it created, creating a solid ecosystem and able to attract a lot of investors.
This Ripple is something that is very painful for those who spend a lot of money because the increase in Ripple coins really feels very slow and I am sure that Solana is better than Ripple for now in the cryptocurrency market.

This Solana coin is very capable of beating the market cap of Ripple coins. This Solana coin has its own charm from the development of the coin which is super simple and easy to understand, such as token creation and the use of new tokens which are simple and the transaction fees are very cheap.
We no longer need to choose the Solana coin than to have to choose the Ripple coin which since 2017 when it was first created has still been like that and the technology is also far behind the Solana coin.

Solana is doing wonderfully well, and obviously, this is just the beginning of good thing to come on the Solana Blockchain adoptions. Ripple(XRP) has experienced a lot of challenges since late 2020, the SEC law suite is yet to be over, a reason it marketcap is dwindling over the months. However, the Solana network has also received a lot hype and some unpresidented adoptions that has lead to it's market Surg this year, and as a matter of facts, the crypto market is very unpredictable, any project with good marketing strategies can overtake others on the coinmarketcap, volumes and ranking. In crypto any thing can happen, we may see other projects coming on stronger than Solana even on marketcap and volumes.

XRP needs a little time to be able to increase its market cap, this is because the developer is still dealing with the SEC and I think if that is resolved and XRP is free from prosecution then I believe the price will go up.
Solana also had problems with network downs a few months ago, I think every project has problems and we can wait for the developers to work things out well and we will see the crypto market cap will continue to increase.

I could never have imagined Solana growing so fast, FTX is supporting SOL price so strongly and people are looking to Solana for its speed and very attractive transaction fees. I believe Solana can compete with Ethereum, BSC & Cardano.

maybe the trend is in favor of solona . I didn't think that after FTX supported solona the price became even stronger, and there were more and more projects being offered even though I saw a lot of projects based on NFT

You're right, Solana is growing so fast and so popular now.
I think this coins will have bright future and I predict will beat BNB or Ethereum at the next several years again.

Soon, Solana may overtake XRP in terms of capitalization. I didn’t think that SOL would overcome the milestone so quickly, namely, it would rise above the line on SMS. This was to be expected due to the updates. Due to the rejection of the SEC, XRP drops below. But this is until the time when XRP will again accept the SEC, then this cryptocurrency will be ahead. I think it's not long left to wait.

Market capitalization and the XRP price went down because of many things, we have seen many problems that occurred such as unfinished trial with the SEC, on the other hand new projects are constantly developing and investors will not take big risks, I believe when XRP wins the lawsuit filed by the SEC, then the price will go up again.
