The increase in the marketcap of Polkadot was when all cryptocurrencies were pumped so fast and now Polkadot is experiencing a decline in Marketcap due to the price of the Bitcoin Dump.
I think it's only natural that Polkadot is ranked 5 and has a market cap of around 10 billion USD because the use of Polkadot coins is used a lot for purposes in creating new tokens.

Polkadot position in the cryptocurrency market is much better. Prices have risen much higher. People invested a lot in the beginning, they have benefited a lot. Dot #DevelopmentTeam  is behind the improvement. As a result of their tireless work, people have invested in its projects.
