Just wanna share this with you guys...maybe...just maybe it will help calm my nerves down
I found what i consider a gem today, so i was in a hurry to buy some before more people discover it and the price begins to go up, being an erc-20 token and only listed on uniswap and 1inch, i needed eth and i had zero eth on my wallet, fortunately, i had about $163 usd in my local bank account so i immediately took out $150 usd to buy some eth, after successfully buying eth from a centralized exchange, i quickly withdrew it to my trust wallet, the exchange took about $22 usd for Ethereum transfer fees so i was left with about $128 usd when the eth hit my trust wallet.
i quickly headed to uniswap to purchase my precious new found ticket to the moon, with my $128 usd in eth, i could have easily purchase about 2000 of the tokens but due to eth high fees, i brought it down to 1000 tokens so as to enable have some eth left for fees but surprisingly, when i clicked on swap, i was told that i don't have enough eth to cover the transaction fees, how much was the fees??? behold ! $87 usd, i was shocked, i didn't want to buy less than 1000 tokens so i decided to adjust the fees, after adjusting, i was able to bring the fee down to $42 usd, i was warned that my transaction might take a very long time before confirmation o might even be cancelled, i took my shot and clicked the submit button.
so the wait began ...
1 hour -- i was still waiting for a confirmation
3 hours -- i was still waiting for a confirmation
4 hours -- i was still waiting
5th hour came and some where in the middle of it, i got a notification from trust wallet that my transaction has been confirmed... i was happy, i quickly rushed to etherscan to view the transaction. lo and behold,, the transaction was confirmed but the token purchase didn't pull through, it returned an error saying like purchase wasn't successful due to low gas shit shit shit...WHAT THE F...KING HELL .. my $42 usd gone just like that HuhHuhHuh?? i was so fucking mad, in fact, if i knew where vitalik was, i would have called security men to have him arrested, i was devastated, i felt like crying, i was so mad at my wife and kid like its their fault,...it wasn't funny, out of $128 usd, i had just $86 usd left, i couldn't buy my precious ticket to the moon no more, its really a bad day for me today, i lost $150 usd just like that, that was all i had left in my local bank account, and now its gone all because of Ethereum high fees.

I understand your pain. I had a similar situation. The only difference is that I lost about 20 bucks.
After that i have no desire to work with uniswap. I decided for myself that I would wait when the prices for the commission would be normal.

You have a problem with high ether gas fee because transactions on the ethereum network are very congested, I also have the same problem with you mate, but I did not continue the transaction because of the high fee of gas, it seems we have to be patient to see the eth 2.0 network running well to avoid high gas fees.

Really now the commissions are very large. They used to be very low. Therefore, now I practically do not send tokens. The day before yesterday I exchanged some USDT and spent $ 25 on commission.

I know what you feel because I love to trade in uniswap too, but it's about a couple of months ago. Lots of gems there that can easily be pumped, but I already stop when I know that the Ethereum gas fee is extremely high. Trade-in unswap is no more profitable. We all hate the expensive fee and we hate waiting for so long to confirmed. Hopefully, we will get a solution

Today gas fee is cray damn high.
But to tell the truth, your attitude is not good enough. And it seems that you are not ready in the crypto world. I can imagine if you lose your funds because of the dropped prices of certain cryptos, you will blame everyone. If you cannot change your attitude, characteristic, and even the readiness of risks in crypto, better not joining in this again at first.

Etherium fee is all time high now. Uniswap charge very big fee. There are some step you should follow to avoid high fee.
1: use ftx exchange where withdraw fee is zero for all cryptocurrency.
2: before using Uniswap first check Gas fee. When it low then swap your tokens

Ethereum gas fees is now a pain to all users specially when you use any DeFi like Uniswap can take fees $15-$30 or even more. It's better to avoid Uniswap, Mooniswap etc for high swap fees. I am also frustrated with such DeFi' fees.

Looks like now the commission is very large. They used to be very low. Because of that, I also now send almost no tokens.

indeed Ethereum really pissed off a lot of people, it really is too much. I could not understand why transaction fees could be this expensive. This will be very detrimental for people who wish to transact in small amount.

This is a very sad thing. At present, etherium gas free is taken in excess. Due to which all investors have many problems. Especially if you use Uni Swab or DPI, most of them are taken for free. All investors are currently in a lot of frustration because of such a high level of free.

ethereum dev team are taking for granted this huge transaction fees. they don't care if this could somehow ruin the reputation of ethereum platform. All they want is money. Im not using anymore the ethereum swap in a decentralize exchange because of the high has fees. I have few token than is worth more than a $100 but I did not send it to exchange or swap it to other crypto currency because my money might just eaten by the high fees of the ethereum network.

You already knew about the gas fee and still pushed through. You're not really mad about the fees but about the missed opportunity because of the failed transaction. Are you familiar with the slippage fee? Did you know that you can make the necessary adjustments to make sure your swap will succeed?
Why is my swap failing or stuck?
You might be trying to swap a fee on transfer or deflationary token. If so, you have to increase your allowed slippage to account for the fee taken during the swap. Click on the gear for settings and adjust Slippage tolerance accordingly.
Otherwise if your transaction is taking forever or stuck pending the gas included might be too low and the transaction will not be processed. You probably need to speed up or cancel the transaction in you wallet.
You adjusted the gas fee but you did not increase the slippage fee.

Currently Ethereum's high transaction fees are a big problem. If Ethereum's transaction fees are not reduced in the future, then I think Ethereum's popularity will soon be lost. Because users stop Ethereum transactions. I have faced such problems many times. I don't know how long it will take to solve this problem!

Yes, it is very sad that this Ethereum transaction is so crazy and it must make everyone angry.
I am saddened to see this because all the cost of sending tokens is more expensive than the price of the token itself.
Then I have also tried to swap using Metamask and this is even crazier because one swap with the erc20 altcoins can cost tens of USD for the cost alone, Crazy!

5th hour came and some where in the middle of it, i got a notification from trust wallet that my transaction has been confirmed... i was happy, i quickly rushed to etherscan to view the transaction. lo and behold,, the transaction was confirmed but the token purchase didn't pull through, it returned an error saying like purchase wasn't successful due to low gas shit shit shit...WHAT THE F...KING HELL .. my $42 usd gone just like that HuhHuhHuh?? i was so fucking mad, in fact, if i knew where vitalik was, i would have called security men to have him arrested, i was devastated, i felt like crying, i was so mad at my wife and kid like its their fault,...it wasn't funny, out of $128 usd, i had just $86 usd left, i couldn't buy my precious ticket to the moon no more, its really a bad day for me today, i lost $150 usd just like that, that was all i had left in my local bank account, and now its gone all because of Ethereum high fees.
Problems like yours can be solved by Ethreum upgrade ETH 2.0 because the problem of Ethereum blockchain in traffic is getting worse due to the increasing number of actual users resulting in a significant increase in transaction fees. But the problem is when will be this upgrade be released which is they promised to launch it last year but until now we are still waiting.

I hope Ethereum 2.0 will solve the gas issue. But until now, we all know the gas problem doesn't solve yet. I think almost all of Investors complain about this problem..I hope After Ethereum 2.0 launched completely, the gas problem be solved

My condolences, your story is quite similar to another story in 2017 when one person withdraws BTC at an ATM and all BTC in the account has turned into transaction costs :)
The Ethereum blockchain is going through a terrible period when transaction costs are pushed too high and transaction time is too much. The value of tokens changes every minute that you have to wait 5 hours, and the result is only transaction failure.
Perhaps we should take this time to learn and monitor the market instead of deciding to pay more for gas.
I hope that Vitalik Buterin will read this topic :)

You're right. Ethereum's gas problem scares me a lot right now. Ethereum is increasing in value and the cost of commissions is increasing. I think the developers will fix this problem soon.

Everybody knows how Ethereum fees is devastating for small time crypto enthusiasm. Because of high gas fee some users of Ethereum block chain transfer to Binance Smart Chain for it is low gas fee not like ETH specially in this time.

Your story has been terrible to me and from your experience hopefully it will get others to be careful trading on uniswap for now. I hope that Uniswap can use the Bep20 platform in the future

I'm so sorry for your pain buddy! Sadly that's the situation with ETH network since the DeFi surge, i wonder if the founders are really seeing that their network has become so centralized and costly for an average Joe. If the protocol has been switched to POS, why is the fee issue not getting settled still? Is this a deliberate move to make ETH miners extremely rich?

I understand your problem but now everyone is facing this problem.At the moment, Ethereum's gas is increasing a lot. Italian's gas free is increasing so much that we can't do any transaction for it.When it comes to any token transaction, it is seen that more than the amount of tokens we will transact, the amount of gas is free.Hopefully the Etherium community will notice.

I hope Ethereum will fix the high gas fee because it is not really helpful. Very unhealthy gas fee from small tokens you want to send. I hope mate you are in a good condition now.

Trading fees are very high and often make us annoyed and angry, but that is the reality now. Apart from having to be patient waiting for the token delivery fees to drop, we have to choose which exchanges have low trading fees. In my personal opinion, Uniswap has quite high trading fees even though there are many new tokens being traded on the exchange.

I think BSC is much affordable transaction fee than Ethereum. My be JTS about time to migrate from Erc20 to BSC to avoid higher transaction fees. We have no choice than to choose the blockchain that we think we can save even in small amount of money.

Not just you bro, I'm tired of Ethereum Network and the high gas fees it's just something else, how can Ethereum Founders expect people to pay $35 per tx, it's against what crypto stands for, for days now I'm still unable to move a few usdt in my trust wallet all because the transaction fee required is too high for a small investor like me to afford, if this isn't fixed very soon we might see projects moving over to other blockchain networks that are cheap, anyway sorry about that man.

Actually, if you want to be patient then you can get a cheaper Gas price, a while ago the Gas price for the slowest transaction was under 100 Gwei. Of course it can benefit us if we are willing to be patient, but unfortunately at this time it is very rare for Eth Gas Prices to be below 100 gwei. So we still have to pay expensive fees for transactions on Ethereum, Ethereum should provide a solution to this problem because many have been disappointed.

Every user of ERC20 tokens now suffer much for high transaction fees specially for bounty hunters. This sky touched gas fees isn't bearable for the ordinary users of ERC20 tokens. Right, once Ethereum was user friendly coins which was bearable but now a killer coin for the small transaction makers.

This are one of the problems of Massive adoption and also importantly consequences of not proferring solutions earlier. The etherum network congestion is not new; but it was ignored simply because there are no competitors; it ofcourse would improve with eth 2.0

They "forgot" about the problem because there was no other platform that could outshine them in the industry, but all that has changed a lot in recent years and now we can enjoy numerous alternatives. Now is when they want to do things fast with a hard fork in July, and we already know that things that are done quickly tend to cause problems later.

There is no need for us to rush. In any case, today there is no need to rush to sell something, because the cryptocurrency market is just beginning its bull run. I realise your pain but nothing to do . Ethereum already started to loss it's popularity due to the high exessive Ethereum network fees.if any Token/Coins listed on uniswap or any other decentralized exchange , then I never exchange it . It captured fee's more than it's value.

It's a painful experience because no money is too small all most everybody has actually encountered similar situation and is very patetic loosing such huge amount of USD because etherum high gas fees, I wish there's a solution to that in any way one can recover the money back to your wallet it could be better off than loosing all the money.

Even if we get angry we won't solve anything. The only thing we can do is wait for these problems to be resolved (I hope before the hard fork that they say will solve it in July) and after having a solution look for alternatives, there are several much cheaper and faster blockchains than Ethereum. I personally try to use the Ethereum chain as little as possible for weeks.

Be patient, mate. There are many people having the same problem as you lately. Ethereum has some problems right now including in transactions. I think it is because there are too many transactions happened at the same time. So, there are some errors and high fees as well.

I think the problem is there are a lot of users like you. I had the same problem. Some tokens require so many transactions when they are deposited that it is not possible to raise them even after selling the tokens.I think the popularity of the Ethereum platform will soon be lost if this problem does not need to be resolved quickly.

One thing that I dont like with Ethereum are the fact that network can simply burn gas and your tokens will return. I'm much used to bitcoin, where you can set 10sat/fee and wait weeks for transaction to be confirmed. While if you set slow (low gwei) transaction, the risk that network will simply burn gas and your transaction wont be confirmed is high. And even "normal" speed is not a guarantee for success. Plus, sometimes normal transaction speed is almost equal to fast, while with slow your might lose time and money for nothing. Huge dilemma.

5th hour came and some where in the middle of it, i got a notification from trust wallet that my transaction has been confirmed... i was happy, i quickly rushed to etherscan to view the transaction. lo and behold,, the transaction was confirmed but the token purchase didn't pull through, it returned an error saying like purchase wasn't successful due to low gas shit shit shit...WHAT THE F...KING HELL .. my $42 usd gone just like that HuhHuhHuh?? i was so fucking mad, in fact, if i knew where vitalik was, i would have called security men to have him arrested, i was devastated, i felt like crying, i was so mad at my wife and kid like its their fault,...it wasn't funny, out of $128 usd, i had just $86 usd left, i couldn't buy my precious ticket to the moon no more, its really a bad day for me today, i lost $150 usd just like that, that was all i had left in my local bank account, and now its gone all because of Ethereum high fees.
I have learned a lot from reading your post, but from the beautiful information you have given, it is clear that nowadays it is impossible to transact due to the high transaction fee of Etherium. Almost everyone is facing such problems. But I personally would expect Ethereum's transaction fees to go down very quickly. Due to the high transaction fee of Etherium, it has become impossible for everyone to transact.

There was a time that I am frustrated because my ERC20 token with big value didn’t arrive for hours, and I am scared that it will be lost forever. Good thing I have researched hard on Youtube about cancelling my transaction. I forgot about the exact video which was years ago, but it did helped and my ERC20 token reflected back to my wallet. I have no choice back then but to increase gas fees as recommended by the network that time and it finally went through to the exchange and successfully converted to USDT.

High gas fee is always become our night mare, We suffered.
I have loss because too late to sell my coins when pump because lack of gas fee.
Ethereum team also launched Ethereum 2.0, But didn't have good solution for this problem.
Why ? I don't know.
Better to wait or choose other smart contract platform.

The fee from the weak Ethereum made the Ethereum delivery confirmation stagnating and no validator wanted to send the coin because the fee was too cheap.
But if we send Ethereum with a high GAS fee, it will definitely be sent and approved by the Validator.
Simple for Ethereum transactions is to just increase your GAS fees so you don't get stuck!

Yes, that is how lately crypto world works. When you do not have any attention to buy or sell and withdraw or deposit any cash in usd or euro. Or to do any kind of transaction from any wallet that is on crypto, you do not have problem with gas fee and transaction. It is very disturbing but that is how it works. I saw other day on this forum 2am and 8pm are between time to have small fee prices and speed problem. Works like a charm they say.
