Title: Eminem Buys Bored Ape Yacht Club Ethereum NFT for $450K
Post by: Pagla on January 01, 2022, 06:09:18 AM
The legendary Detroit rapper Eminem has aped in to the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC).

He purchased one of the Ethereum-based Apes for 123.45 ETH ($452,000) on Thursday night and has since made the ape his profile picture on Twitter. Meanwhile, he appears to have collected at least 15 NFTs so far on OpenSea under the name Shady_Holdings.

Eminem is one of the best-selling musical artists of all time, having sold more than 220 million records worldwide. He’s also the only rapper to have ever won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, which he won for “Lose Yourself” in the movie “8 Mile.” He’s also won numerous American Music Awards and 15 Grammy Awards.

Fellow BAYC member GeeGazza sold the blonde ape to Eminem, announcing today that the sale becoming a reality is “madness” and remarking, “I’m living in a simulation.” Eminem has not yet commented publicly on the sale.

I’m living in a simulation.

Thank you @Eminem for buying my ape and joining the club!

Madness. Let me write a lyric in your next single 🤣 pic.twitter.com/myGNRmMLeD

Eminem did not regret his 450 thousand dollars by buying the NFT monkey. Today, only $ 380 is offered for it, let's see what the price will be next. Time will pass and someone will buy an NFT monkey from a famous singer. The metaverse is expanding exponentially. I believe that this action will bear fruit.

Being a well-known celebrity, am sure that Eminem himself can be adding more value to this specific NFT and because of this there can be a big market for NFTs that are owned by popular people. I think this can be like buying a house once owned by a Hollywood actor adding more value based on its history. I am just wondering if the people who once owned an NFT can be embedded on its own history - this can be adding more value, actually. Now, with this story of Eminem buying a Bored Ape Yacht be a sign that in 2022 there will be more big value NFTs to be sold...or is this an exemption?
